There seems to be much fun on this subject, but surely this is really serious stuff?
I understand Martyn is currently sunning himself in Lanzarote, whether that is for relaxation or to top up his magnificent tan, who knows? but importantly what we all want is some real information as to where the Board (Martyn and Wael) are taking us.
I am sure a few days on the beach will clear Martyn's mind to what we desperately need to stop this crazy dive to the bottom of the league?
Or maybe he is seeking out a holiday home on the Island (well it is a lovely place) please tell us Martyn because we are crying out for information as to where the Board (you and Wael) see the future of the Club given our massive debt which has occurred during the last few years while the Al-Qadi owned the Club.
No-one denies you a holiday, but we need answers.

Is that a yes he was given a reason or a yes he wasn't given a reason... Just to make things clear.... We would all like to know what the reason was, but my understanding is that he was not given the courtesy of a reason.

Considering that you gashead1981, are neither a member of the SC or BRFC BOD, I find it confusing that you are able to quote such intimate information about donations as fact, however, whoever gives you such information appears to have forgotten the £2000 per month from the share scheme and another £16000 donated this year. As for the President's Club support for our friends in the Supporters Club (remembering some are members of both) it is surely not surprising given that apparently the Football Club legal team have given no reason for banning a fully paid up representative of the Supporters Club who is there on behalf of it's members who donated a generous amount for the privilege of having two seats on the Board. Also, your ignorance of 'Rovers history is disappointing by describing Abdulkader Abdullah Al-Qadi as the 'leader' of the President's Club. In fact he holds the honorary position of 'President' following in the wake of such illustrious people as The Duke of Beaufort and Denis Dunford which was bestowed in recognition of his families substantial investment in the Football Club. Finally, for no other reason than being obstreperous you should know that 'emeritus' according to the Cambridge dictionary means 'no longer having a position, especially in a college or university, but keeping the title of the position' contrary to what you portray. Are you honestly suggesting that KM was literally given NO reason for his banning? As I understand it - yes

To those that think the 7% SC shareholding should be bought out by the FC, think again. AQ’s are probably sellers not buyers and haven’t shown any appetite to put money into the club beyond modest working capital; what would the “fair value” be for the shares (ie what’s the current share price? And it’s going down like our form); what would the SC do with the proceeds (apart from pay Ken’s legal fees)? And we’d be left with no representation on the board. It’s not a workable solution. The SC haven’t put any money in this year either and I would say at a £3m loss the ALQs have put in more than working capital. They provided a platform that has been wasted in some ways. The 7% shareholding is pointless, you can’t do anything with it, they can’t afford to purchase any more from the ALQs and increase their shareholding to hold any form of controlling interest. The SC has no representation currently because they have self destructed and bankrupted their own relationship with the owners and the whole SC is mute. If the SC was as serious about being a representation for the fans (which they aren’t, they only represent members of the SC) as they all think they are they wouldn’t be carrying out this ridiculous campaign to keep one person at the top table which is only doomed to fail. That says as much about the committee and their messiah as anything else. I thought it was telling that their last statement included the support from presidents club, which has the irony, according to their website, of having Wael’s father as their leader, albeit in emeritus . It comes as no surprise that the other old boys club which does very little have cosied up to this little clique as well. Considering that you gashead1981, are neither a member of the SC or BRFC BOD, I find it confusing that you are able to quote such intimate information about donations as fact, however, whoever gives you such information appears to have forgotten the £2000 per month from the share scheme and another £16000 donated this year. DC: just when he appears to be under pressure Walsall have gone on a good run. Probably too inconsistent to make the play offs this season but we know DC prefers the last half of the season to the first half and his teams get better, so I think he will be fine and will get next season as well. History tells me Walsalls natural place is League 1 not League 2 so DC has great opportunity to return them there long term. The new owner appears to be patient so no imminent danger to him. GC: he’s more vulnerable. He isn’t as good a manager imo as DC insofar as his experience as a number 2 meant he could always defer to others and his experience isn’t as great. Tactically he’s good at setting up a team defensively and making it hard for teams to score but from the year he was with us he seemed very set in how his teams play. I never saw him change a match tactically with subs or systems and felt other managers could out-think him. (Southend, second half was the only match I can remember where he changed things to win at half time). And he has owners who have little patience and high expectations. Mansfield, history tells me, are a team in the correct league atm. They have a very good budget and the Radfords expect promotion after that investment. Not too sure that GC has enough talent, tactical awareness or motivation as a manager to pull it round. You wouldn’t want to go against him as we found out last season but that only lasts for a time. Given time and his own playershe will do well but I’m not sure he’ll get time. BG: he needs to turn the better performances over the past few weeks into wins. Watching the highlights from last night he needs to get JCH firing because we seem to be creating chances now but not taking them. Had JCH taken his chances we’d have been on the fringes of the play offs and the threads on here would have been been very different. He will get time from the owners more so than he will get from the fans. Can’t believe he will be gone after bringing 7 players in during January who appear to fit what he’s been saying. But he needs that first win desperately. To answer the OP GC is most vulnerable, then BG then DC imo. UTG! ps. Was out last night and coming home was listening to 5 live. Think it was Phil Brown, who I know is not everyone’s favourite, talking and saying how fans, not owners, sack most managers. He went on to say that once fans turn against the manager the owners, however supportive, will eventually bow to the pressure and get rid of them. Would our Board (if there is anyone left there) even notice we were turning against the manager?

FWIW my opinion is that Clarke IS a very good manager and was a very good manager for us during the period he was with us. He had some very successful signings, some average and some who didn't hit it off either straight away or ever. You look at Ed Upson. Last season he was average at best, so far this season he looks like the quality player we thought he was on paper when he first signed. Clarke has many strengths and also some weaknesses. I didn't think it at the time but with hindsight, his moving on was best for both parties as it had become stale. He played some very attractive football but whilst at times we were free flowing and easy on the eye, sometimes we didn't get the results and ultimately he paid the price. I think he should be remembered as a success with us and not have his achievements belittled or taken away.We just have to accept the world has moved on and we have Coughlan now and not Clarke. Cogs is a dif ferent manager in style and substance and we should judge him on his merits and not compare. Likewise we shouldn't put Clarke down as he was a success and did achieve a lot.Excellent post which in time will have even more relevance when Clarke and Coughlan are able to tell their story. My reading of the situation is straightforward in that both were successful until one of our owners decided he knew better than them and made decisions for them. They both left - not surprisingly, and where are we now? Only time will tell. and it will be told

Tbf it’s not like they have to edit each video differently depending on whether they upload it onto Facebook or twitter. Also, don’t give a deadline if you can’t stick to it But it says that they will be recording an interview and to submit questions. It doesn’t say the interview will be posted at the end of the week. People haven’t read the twitter post properly. "The lacky doth protest too much, methinks " (with ref to Queen Gertrude in Hamlet by William Shakespeare)

I also think if Ben can begin to get his ideas off the ground and start to achieve some decent results it will really mark a change in the club structure. It’s clear we barely have the finances to survive as a club signing your average journeyman pro. Whilst under that structure we’d achieve the odd bit of relative success it’s not sustainable. I would imagine Ben has sold Wael or visa versus the idea of taking the best available talent from the championship and premier league on loan to combine with promising young or maybe even foreign permanent signings. Building a reputation for playing technical possession football would hopefully secure good relationships with top clubs ensuring a good turnover of talent. Whilst it’s no guarantee of success, it’s potentially a sustainable model which would improve the clubs profile and give us a chance of financial stability. Isn't that the model Yeovil were using?

and I thought the headline was referring to the BOARDROOM! Out of interest do you have an interest in what takes place in the pitch as unlike most posters you never seem to comment? The players wear our colours and are selected and told how to play by management, so I prefer to always praise the players if I can rather than condemn them, but the management hold responsibility and therefor should be held to account. Ultimately in any business it is management who must carry the can. The workers do as they are told, and if they do not, then it is managements job to scold them, not me.

Please explain to which AGM you are referring because no such subject was discussed at the Football Club's AGM. Allegedly supporters club AGM You started this thread with an apparent 'fact' which is now only 'allegedly'. Were you there?, and if so who are the ITK's to whom you refer?

In simple terms it’s like someone taking out an interest only mortgage on their own home to pay the monthly bills, without increasing their income. Eventually the money runs out and there’s no asset to borrow anymore money against. The consequences are if you’ve still not increased your income you still can’t pay your bills and now you have a mortgage to pay. Then your house gets repossessed. That’s why the clocks ticking Not if I've been saving money every month and have more than sufficient money to pay down my mortgage should the need every arise. We just don't know what the ALQ's intentions are. It is FOUR YEARS next month since the Al-Qadi family bought BRFC, I am sure that we have seen in that time what their intentions are? A brand new stadium, a new training ground, a fully functioning Board of Directors - NO?, but we do have plans for a new stadium, plans for a new training ground, NO? but we have plans submitted to modernise our current stadium NO?, Ah well, but we only owe about £15 million YES! No doubt our President will soon reveal all.

Are you certain about this? I've no idea, really. I'm completely inexpert and just going on common knowledge, the occasional thread we get about the accounts, and what people on this forum have to say, etc. If you have some genuine information to add to the thread and contribute constructively to the forum I'd suggest this would be an opportune moment to share. What a lousy and disrespectful OP Totally agree! But understandable for many reasons. Wael and/or Hani can counter this if they were to make a comprehensive and believable statement on what exactly is happening, in regards to stadium, training ground, finances and if Hani & the Al-Qadi family are prepared to continue to guarantee the Club finances in the End of year Accounts as they did last year? Also, have they received an offer from anyone wanting to buy the Club? and are they considering it? In the absence of a statement, is it any wonder fans/supporters are concerned?

Yeah, if you are gonna have a serious go at convincing everyone to protest and that the Dwane regime is bad for the club then you need to base it on reality. All this 'they haven't spent any money' is so clearly nonsense that it undermines your point and credibility. Dwane have spent a shed load on us and left us in debt. BRFC is in debt to Dwane (or similar) and not to anyone else, so that's a manageable, internal debt. This is similar to how a lot of clubs (successful and unsuccessful) function. That's not really the problem. The problem is how that debt is ultimately dealt with, either by Dwane or as a result of Dwane selling the club. If you think Dwane are just gonna sell the Mem to get their money back then you have every reason to be worried. But if that is the case, you have to wonder why they bothered to get involved in the first place. What would have been the point of it all? If you think they will just write off their losses (a fairly common result in football) when they sell the club, then there is nothing to worry about. So, really istm, it all boils down to whether you vaguely trust Dwane, or vaguely distrust them. Our potential big problem is the large amount Dwane has spent, so this, 'they haven't spent any money' is gibberish, and you won't get many people to protest against the board on the strength of it, coz it's the exact opposite of what has happened, and the exact opposite of the potential problem we have. Of course, otoh, protesting that we're spending too much goes against the grain for most football fans. Are you certain about this?
