I think ellis could step into matty's shoes, taylor was given a long time at the start of last season to step up to league two, something that looked unlikely for the first 15 games. Ellis is probably the better player if he can get that attitude sorted.

I'm becoming more optimistic he might stay now, I'm very sceptical of any firm interest from any of the quoted clubs. If he stays there is no doubt he'll be the highest paid player in the club and very well paid by league one standards, and he'll be the first name on the team sheet. If he keeps scoring in league one he'll probably be gone by xmas anyway, but we'll get 1m.

So Birmingham are out of the running and Hull gotta be favourites to go up (no way he's going to the prem) so that leaves Leeds and Preston out of the rumoured suitors. Can't help thinking this is his agent manufacturing interest from clubs who've watched him.

Taylor's gone - nothing I've heard from him sounds like he's staying - been asked lots but non-commital! Think i agree with this and i also think he will regret it, he could very well join a club we'll be overtaking in a couple of seasons.

I think we'd have had more of a problem replacing him in league two than league one.

He will be bench warming at all those clubs. He took 15 games to adjust to league two and may well take the same amount of time in league one. Dc will give him that time, no one else will.

For a relegated team I thought they conducted themselves in a manner that warrants a lot of praise. Not dirty, not upset, and actually played a tough game. Fair shout to their fans for travelling. and no time wasting. As much as i feel sorry for Stanley at least we all know no-one rolled over on the final day, unlike Torquay did to Wycombe. To be fair wycombe pretty much rolled over at oxford!

Bit concerned about the stadia but not gonna let it stop me from gloating all summer. I'm also concerned but yesterday has to increase the urgency to get this thing started asap.

Job done. Season ticket purchased. Looking forward to a nice holiday, Euros, Olympics, and new signings and preseason. No playoffs and additional expenses, no nerves. Nice break for the players and DC. Plus allows players contracts to be sorted early and planing to be arranged. Bring on league 1 and the better supported teams. Enjoy your hols and see you in Aug! UTG you forgot the bit about work starting on the new stadiumĀ If it isn't already being discussed i would imagine now we're in league one (probably ahead of schedule) the uwe will now almost certainly be built bigger than the initial 21700.

Feeling totally drained - what an afternoon. I really thought that 2nd goal just wasn't going to fall for us today, then Lee Brown stepped up to the plate. Stayed in the ground for about an hour after the final whistle, and Matty Taylor and Monty were still out there having selfies taken with the kids. What a club we have now. I always thought it would never feel like the early 90's again because I was a kid then and you don't get that feeling as an adult but this Rovers has brought it all back. UTG. The difference between now and the early 90s is that this is now part of a journey, something we can now build on, whereas back then it was only ever going to be a temporary elevation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, all this we're richer than you nonsense and we're scrabbling around trying to get someone else to pay for the stadium.

So basically we are not ready to build a stadium. We haven't got our own training ground. Our best players are up for grabs. Cool. Yep. The only news here is the end of the Sainsbury's saga. Everything he said about the stadium we already knew. Seems still up it the air. Also it seems that a lot of people will be making money out of it which means a large slice of the income it generates won't belong to brfc.

26?? Was a lot more than that surely?? Is the actual figure available somewhere? I remember Vanarama stated we sold around 31,000. Not sure why there's still a debate around this, grimsby took 15-16k, and the gate was 47k. Simple maths!!

Absolutely no reason why we wouldn't take the same as we did in 07, especially as the opponents will be a significantly more attractive draw.
