On now on Radio Bristol
Club will not be appealing Sainsburys decision.
One or two points to iron out with UWE and if common sense can prevail the build can start.

They have had a meeting to consider safe standing and think the idea is excellent. Will come into consideration in the new stadium.

Club looking to buy own training ground and have identified 3 different sites. Won't be Cribbs as there is a restricted covenant. Hope to move this forward in the summer.

Common sense? What is that?

We want to tie up new deal for Matty Taylor but his reps are trying to drive the best deal for him and so we will have to see what other offers he gets and whether we want to compete.

App being developed for student discount tickets, first of it's kind in the UK. Great idea IMHO, UTG

A very refreshing listen, worth listening again if you can.
Like the thoughts on safe standing. Steve Hamer said they'd already had positive meeting in London with a company that specialise in it!
Slight concern over reworking things with UWE, but I guess our current board and backing have a bit more weight and bigger plans than the old board, so they are bound to want to build something "bigger" as there is now a realistic prospect of using it!
Re Matty it sounded very sensible, we can't break the bank or the team spirit, we have an agreement to be able to match any deal he receives from elsewhere but will only do so if it is good for the club.

Hearing some great things here! Hamer talks a lot of sense and is a breath of fresh air compared to the almost non existent communication from the old board!

I guess the stadium may be getting a major rework as Steve Hamer said they didn't know the cost, it could be £30m, it could be £60m!

Sounded like Taylor's pretty much gone, I'll be shocked if he's still here come September

If he leaves for a higher placed club, say championship, so be it. If it's for an average lge 1 side, or worse, league 2 I'd be furious. I know it always come down to money for most, for obvious reasons, but it still wouldn't be nice

Feel much more confident with the new regime having,'Mucked our way through ' for so long.Andy Rammell saved us once and then Ray Graydon banned the press from the training ground at Colerne. We were supposed to move to Cheltenham whilst the new stadium was built but it was all fantasy. Then came more years of struggle under Buckle,McGhee,Ward etc. Also there was the nonsense about Wycombe breaching some sort of rule we reported to the league hoping to stay up but under the new board, they generate authority and whatever happens Sat,the future seems much more assured. The UWE will happen .Never really believed that till now.

UTG Safe standing capacity is up to 1.8 per seat it replaces but if we said 1.5 and say one of the ends that probably would have 4,000 seats could be safe standing it would increase capacity by a couple of thousand and we could have a 6,000 capacity terrace! What an atmosphere that could create! Happy Days.

Its not like Taylor is 20 and he has played non league all his career by this. He will seek a good paying move and cant blame him. If he is sensible with his money than he is doing whats best
