I've said it before and I'll say it again, all this we're richer than you nonsense and we're scrabbling around trying to get someone else to pay for the stadium.

Love your math, but it would be cheaper than 5% for Rovers to get a commercial loan from a Arab bank.... Plus Football league money, TV money a cup tie could also bring in more advertising revenue And pasties.

Just watched him on news BBC - no money from Wael - not sure where the money is coming from to be honest! I watched that yesterday, the woman seemed to back him into a corner a bit and his answers left me feeling less than confident about the new stadiums progress

Screwed in the head... Who is moaning anyway? People are searching for clarity. There is nothing tangible in any of the press releases. There is a steady drip feed of non info and once again Rovers fans are content. This is nothing new from the last regime just a different voice. I will be much happier when things start taking shape. I really don't think that is a moan! I'm not sure how my view makes me thick or a ted or any less hopeful than those who lap everything up with glee. So would you like no info at all then just like the previous shower ? How about they just wait until the dozers move in and let us know then - bet you would moan about that as well ! Chill out, it will start soon, maybe you would be happy then... but i got my doubts Do you disagree with my post then? Not all of us can be happy with being treated like mushrooms you know. Just because you think you're itk with your little snippets every now and again!

I'm slightly confused how the ownership of the stadium will work if funding is mainly/entirely through outside investors. Could we even claim to own our own ground? I suppose the money from the sale of the Mem will be our stake in the new stadium so we'll be part owners of it at least. we will still own the ground. investors will put money in to fund the build but will just get money back in return and not a stake in the property. so a investor could put say 5 mill in the pot and wael will give him back 6 over the next 10 years provided were making money e.c.t. its much easier to do though when you have a billionare owner as it is seen as less of a risk to investors.

Out of interest do any of us know how Pantsdown has funded the AG re-development has he simply pulled out the money from his Guernsey piggy bank or as he also borrowed the money from elsewhere? As SH said last the Al-Q's are merchant bankers and so are the experts at arranging funding for building projects etc, at the end of the day what Gashead is going to complain if cone the next of next season we are playing Div 1 football, own our own training ground for the first time in decades (if not ever?) and aremoving towards starting work on the UWE? Whilst Hamer seems a slippery character you wouldn't trust, Weal gives the impression he's a genuine guy and that's good enough for me.

Hasn't the manager, in who we trust, said that he likes operating with players on short contracts? PS: you may have missed the announcement about TL signing a new contract, please keep up I didn't miss the announcement but we could have well lost TL as well as MT this summer if NH had remained in charge. If, buts and maybes. Move on NH is in the past, the new guys are talking very positively and we all hope they deliver on those positive statements.

Hi, new to this forum, now living in Swansea. I was out and about two nights back and got talking to a couple of very decent Jacks ( I know ) but they were and knowledgable to about our club. Didn't have any animosity at all, in fact in two years here I haven't, I mentioned Steve Hamer in glowing terms and they were very surprised he was still on football, one even amazed he was allowed to be in football. Apparently he was the catalyst for them nearly losing their club, OK a long time back but their clear message was don't trust him at all. These guys were as I say decent IMO, and some of the things they attach to Mr Hamer when at Swansea I wouldn't put on here. But they stated its a clear indication of time will tell, he has the gift of the gab and will cloud issues easily. I imagine it's a case of let's wait and see, but things are moving slowly, I suppose we will be more wiser of the financial clout of our club come the end of the summer. I am also now worried Mr Hamer is talking about getting new investors in to support basic ventures, my supposition was he fronted a massive financial institution already. Why would he do that ? My first concern in all this is now raised. PS - He was a presenter some thirty years ago on TVS - which was a regional broadcaster as I understand it. Hence his decent use of media and ability to talk to people. Was the man who got Chris Hollins ( ex Swansea manager son of John Hollins ) in to tele by all accounts. I'm remaining in the jury's out camp but I am concerned. Move along and make that your last post, no-one on here wants to hear that message.

You're in dreamland!

You're the one in dreamland.

On a related note, I hope UWE's progress in regard to planning doesn't end up depending on a laptop that Henbury had hoped he'd fixed.

If there is even the tiniest grain of truth in the italicised bit then Wael's judgment is therefore questionable... he appointed him and employs him, presumably for a decent salary?
