So basically we are not ready to build a stadium. We haven't got our own training ground. Our best players are up for grabs.
Cool.

Everything he said about the stadium we already knew. Seems still up it the air. Also it seems that a lot of people will be making money out of it which means a large slice of the income it generates won't belong to brfc.

Seeing as the previous BOD never even mentioned having our own training ground actually looking for one is surely an improvement? Apart from Man C virtually every club can't retain their players if they want to move and to TBH if MT want's mega bucks money I'd sooner him move on and we spend the money on 2 or 3 other players but what's the betting if we go up he's still here next season? Although it was sheer madness by NH not to tie MT & TL into long term contracts now we risk losing MT for zilch and that probably makes him an attractive signing for a top Div 1 side.

Hasn't the manager, in who we trust, said that he likes operating with players on short contracts? PS: you may have missed the announcement about TL signing a new contract, please keep up

If Matty T fires us to two successive promotions I won't begrudge him leaving for a decent pay day.

It was only an interpretation. Mr Hamers press releases, which somehow get people all excited, have learnt me naff all. They could still start digging some foundations whilst deciding what constitutes common sense! Training ground and players contracts are Ill timed stocking fillers...but whatever makes you happy...

For a bit I thought you were just having a laugh but now I can see that either you are a shithead or just completely thick. This regime are different gravy but even they can't just wave a magic wand and give you everything you want in an instant. Under old regime UWE would now be dead. Under old regime we would not have identified 3 sites for a new training ground to buy and develop. Under old regime we could kiss good bye to our best players at the end of season. The new regime aren't back of fag packet merchants like Higgs, they aren't just going to run with whatever he may or may not have written on the back of the fag packet either! Most people of course get that but there's always one. I think Illl go to the pub for some sensible debate on the matter!

I won't resort to calling you a name... but old regime or new regime? The only difference thus far is different sound bites. I am looking forward to progress, believe me, atm though it's just noise.

Perhaps, like everyone else, they're waiting to see if we go up before announcing anything certain. Promotion will have a big effect on attendances, budgets and future prospects.

Sounded like Taylor's pretty much gone, I'll be shocked if he's still here come September Me too. Strange, I'll be sad if he leaves, because a 25 goal a season (avg) striker is very hard to find. If he leaves for a higher placed club, say championship, so be it. If it's for an average lge 1 side, or worse, league 2 I'd be furious. I know it always come down to money for most, for obvious reasons, but it still wouldn't be nice I'll be very surprised if he doesn't end up in the Championship or the SPL. Another thing to consider - if he does leave, it'll be on a free. Presumably he'll get a big signing bonus wherever he goes, would we be prepared to pay him a lump sum in exchange for a contract renewal?
