With the alternative being uber positive about everything, lapping everything up, never disagreeing or questioning? Objectively correct, on a public football forum, open for debate. You're in dreamland! Bullshit. There's all the middle ground. It's not a choice between being uber-positive about everything and self-appointed righteous iconoclastic cynic. You're the one in dreamland. Wahay! Struggling with the debate? Don't large it on a forum, it's not cool and makes you look daft. I like to question things, that is labelled negative by the blue fingers. That's fine by me.

I have an important and very well thought out question in regards to your friend in south glos planning, does your friend from planning think there is a possibility that you could perhaps fix my laptop?? On a related note, I hope UWE's progress in regard to planning doesn't end up depending on a laptop that Henbury had hoped he'd fixed. Riddled with viruses I tell you, riddled...... and that's just Henbury !

I know nothing, i have no contacts within the club, all i do is repeat what i have been told by my good friend (with his permission) who works for South Glos planning. Things are moving along so to speak I have an important and very well thought out question in regards to your friend in south glos planning, does your friend from planning think there is a possibility that you could perhaps fix my laptop?? I have just e-mailed by carrier pigeon my good friend regards your laptop but currently he is having a very expensive jolly paid for by agents of a football club owning sports company. He did give me permission to talk to you and you can bring your virus to death/porned to death ( delete as required ) laptop to my boudoir for examination and repair at discounted rates for card carrying gasheads Please be advised that your laptop is subject to inspection by baggy for sh*thead based material and if found you will have to have his "treatment" for recovery

Just watched him on news BBC - no money from Wael - not sure where the money is coming from to be honest! I watched that yesterday, the woman seemed to back him into a corner a bit and his answers left me feeling less than confident about the new stadiums progress Agreed - a little painful to be honest!

I think the sensible reaction is to say 'I am pleased with what's been said so far, but am waiting for action later in the year.'

Move along and make that your last post, no-one on here wants to hear that message. I doubt I Will and burying your head in the sand is not the answer either. If your not capable of dialogue then do not engage. I'm with you, obviously you need to turn on your irony detector. But many are appeased unquestioningly by words.

There is a phrase 'don't borrow trouble' which means don't worry about things that might or might not happen. There are things that are outside of our control and knowledge if, as time progresses, it turns out all is not wael (see what I did there?) then that's the time to start shouting. It's way too early now. In the long term, we may just have found our benefactor. If he doesn't like what he sees in certain people or projects, I have little doubt he could be ruthless. This might be brilluant, it might be catastophicn it might just mean were solvent. Don't borrow trouble.

Hi, new to this forum, now living in Swansea. I was out and about two nights back and got talking to a couple of very decent Jacks ( I know ) but they were and knowledgable to about our club. Didn't have any animosity at all, in fact in two years here I haven't, I mentioned Steve Hamer in glowing terms and they were very surprised he was still on football, one even amazed he was allowed to be in football. Apparently he was the catalyst for them nearly losing their club, OK a long time back but their clear message was don't trust him at all. These guys were as I say decent IMO, and some of the things they attach to Mr Hamer when at Swansea I wouldn't put on here. But they stated its a clear indication of time will tell, he has the gift of the gab and will cloud issues easily. I imagine it's a case of let's wait and see, but things are moving slowly, I suppose we will be more wiser of the financial clout of our club come the end of the summer. I am also now worried Mr Hamer is talking about getting new investors in to support basic ventures, my supposition was he fronted a massive financial institution already. Why would he do that ? My first concern in all this is now raised. PS - He was a presenter some thirty years ago on TVS - which was a regional broadcaster as I understand it. Hence his decent use of media and ability to talk to people. Was the man who got Chris Hollins ( ex Swansea manager son of John Hollins ) in to tele by all accounts. I'm remaining in the jury's out camp but I am concerned. Are you sure they haven't mixed him up with Steve Lewis, who was virtually hounded out of Swansea and ended up in charge of Exeter during the infamous year of Uri Geller? I used to work in Swansea but have never seen Steve Hamer's name mentioned in terms of bringing the club to its knees. Also, I think there may even have been a police investigation at Exeter over Lewis, who used to be a big wig at Spurs

Also, I think there may even have been a police investigation at Exeter over Lewis, who used to be a big wig at Spurs The following Swansea historical article from 2002 is just one that suggests frustration with Steve Hamer amongst Swansea fans. The situation was very different then from now - Swansea had no money at all then. Hamer's reign preceded their worst moments, but similarly it would be wrong to associate Steve Hamer with Swansea's subsequent rise in any way. www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/21148/a-chairman-elect
