I personally accepted relegation as soon as Wigan scored their winner at the Mem in the 98th minute or whenever it was. Me too. From the moment early on, when Hanlan aimed a free header at the corner flag 30 metres away, to the moment right at the death, when our slumbering defence stood watching a free kick arrive in our penalty box; that was the game when I thought, "Staying up? You`re `avin a laugh."

Brian Williams, left back in early 80s, wasn`t terribly accomodating to any winger who tried to take the ball past him.

In my head, I know. In my heart, I'm hoping that we'll suddenly turn the corner and get a winning streak going. No reason why we shouldn`t. All we need is someone who can put the ball in the net, some midfielders who can tackle, some midfielders who can pass, and some defenders with an attention span greater than a goldfish. Sorted.

I got a funny feeling today was th turning point, I remember us winning at Ipswich 18 months ago an feeling elated and wondering how far we can go up an from that very moment it all went wrong. Today we visit th same place an come away as losers an rock bottom on form an tbh morale both on th field and in our hearts, let’s hope it’s a great coincidence that this time we start gathering a few points instead of dropping them through some weird twist of fate. I still believe we can survive , an I won’t give up til th final act is made. Good luck to th lads an Joey. No Surrender 👊 As a fellow Bluenoser I echo No Surrender , Jock ! .UTG 💙 And me. It's a sad day when people on the forum are offering each other out. To be fair, it is the socially responsible thing to do. Fighting inside is almost certainly prohibited, under the COVID restrictions.

Not only are we going down, we're finishing 24th. Lucky for us, there`s only 24 teams in the league.

I’ll be watching tomorrow but I’m in no way excited or looking forward to it. It’s a sh** addiction when your clubs going through a bad spell and an amazing addiction during the good times. That’s football. It absolutely is.
For all the sh** we`re going through now, I`ll never forget the feeling when Lee Brown slotted that rebound into the back of the Dagenham net. Can`t ever take that away.

I’ve sussed it Been staring me in the face all season We need to adopt a formation no-one has ever seen before to out wit the Likkle one It’s a defensive wall that will be impossible to break down Anssi in goal (even if unfit, doesn’t matter) he’s the only one that can use his hands Day lingers around the six yard line with JVS, throwing their bodies at anything and just kinda making a nuisance of themselves In front of them we play Williams, Kilgour, Ehmer, Baldwin, Harries, Leahy Upson ‘sits’ to protect that frail unit Ayunga mostly defends set pieces and mustn’t venture past the half way line at any cost. It’s basically a 1-1-1-6-1-1 I`d go for 1-0-9, with instructions to play out from the back.

The players just aren't good enough. Both physically and psychologically. Concede too many and struggle to score up the other end, a disastrous combination. No real leaders to galvanise us either. When we concede our heads drop, possibly because they know more often than not we struggle to score ourselves (19 goalless games from this season!), but a fragile mentality nonetheless. When you look at individual players they all have some good attributes. That given the right direction could be then moulded into decent players. We have had some decent, isolated results. Beat Portsmouth, Shrewsbury, and put four past Accrington. The players are capable. So why can nobody get them to put a run together, which at least keeps us out of the bottom four?

That would certainly help me out. If my wife knew how much money I’d given to ifollow over the last 8 months, she would have my balls in a bag. A truly atrocious season. my mrs thinks all the away games are included within my season ticket too... She doesn't realise I've been paying a tenner a time for away games to watch this rubbish. I wouldn`t worry too much. She`s probably got stuff in her wardrobe, that she wouldn`t dare tell you how much she paid for.

Seems like Joey has binned the season off going by his interview. Can we tell the EFL we will go down and not bother playing the rest of the season That would certainly help me out. If my wife knew how much money I’d given to ifollow over the last 8 months, she would have my balls in a bag. A truly atrocious season. Oh, well... you`re a true fan. Unlike the thousands of Bristolians who "support" Man U or Liverpool, but who have never been north of the Almondsbury interchange. Tossers.

Hopefully this comment of mine is just based on current raw emotions following tonight's result and not really how I will feel tomorrow or in the long run. I am slowly falling out of love with not just Rovers but with football as a whole. Im fed up watching our club not give a crap and its got to the point where it has gone on for so long that they are rubbing off on me. I do believe if fans were allowed in then we probably wouldn't be in this mess in the table as these players wouldn't be allowed to get away with the performances that they have been all season. But personally, where we've had to stay away and watch the demise of our club and knowing where its going wrong but no one at the club can see it themselves, just infuriates me and now I feel that I am beginning to hate football and fall out of love with our club. I really don't want to argue with anyone about this. If people want to say or think im not a true supporter or the club don't need people like me then go ahead. I am hurting right now and perhaps I will feel differently tomorrow or over time but this is how I feel now and how the club has driven me to feel. Goodnight all Pretty much how I feel. Not being able to go, they don`t even seem like Bristol Rovers. They`re just A bunch of useless players, not OUR bunch of useless players.

Well that’s that then. I wonder if Barton will push his luck a bit more and try harder to get himself out of this position he finds himself in? Can’t imagine for one minute he wants to manage in League 2? The way he`s going, it`d only be for one season. Then, it`d be the National League. I was delighted when we appointed him. Leaving aside his somewhat colourful private life, I thought he was exactly what we needed to give us a kick up the arse, and move us in the right direction up the league. But seven points from his first nine games is beyond pitiful. We`ve gone from being one of the worst teams in the league, to being the worst team in the league. His utter inability to instill confidence or belief in the side, is one of the most worrying things for me.

This has got 0-0 written all over it. Just two incredibly poor teams. Dinnae give up yet pal, I still think because of th postponed game karma will play its hand here. Weird things happen.... As an example I saw a fortune teller a few years ago. She told me I would come inta some money. Th very next night at th community centre I shagged a girl called Penny. Spooky or what! You should have had more cents.

And we`re connected to France by a tunnel. Does that mean we have to eat snails, and only take a shower once every three weeks? Yes, why don’t you? Because I wouldn`t have any idea how to cook them. Snail con carne? Sweet n sour snail? Snail Madras? Welsh snailbit?

Plymouths in Devon mate.... Correct but it is linked to Cornwall by the Tamar bridge. And we`re connected to France by a tunnel. Does that mean we have to eat snails, and only take a shower once every three weeks?

Yet another massive game - I'm going for a hard fought 1-2 victory for Rovers. Just hope that things don't boil over, with Trevor Kettle in charge of the cards today. Surely he must appreciate the need to let off steam.
