Could our until now nomadic existence work to our benefit in the future. We have played at eastville, twerton and the mem and have probably acquired fans from all of these areas. With a move to uwe around the corner we will be moving to another area of the city and more than likely attracting fans from there. Also students who while studying at uwe I'm sure will be interested in watching a few games. Our fan base around the city and beyond will be growing all the time. Happy days.

I watched two interviews this morning on YouTube the first with Clarke and the second with the great Brian Clough. It stuck me there is a real similarity between the two. A level of arogence but in a more than likeable way and a strong belief in the team being above the individual.

Maybe life size pictures of the likes of Barrett Biggs Bradford Holloway on the walls of the tunnel so players pass them on the way to the pitch.

Just been reading what Barry Bradshaw had to say about when Micky died. I never saw him play but have been told by many a gashead that did that he was one of the best talents ever produced in Bristol. Wouldn't it be nice if we could honour him in some way at our new stadium along with some of the other greats that rovers have produced over the years.

Having scored his 40th goal in 2 seasons (impressive at any level) Matty Taylor still gets a lot of stick on the forum. I'm not trying to provoke any arguments it just got me thinking about pre internet days with no Twitter Facebook or forums. I wonder what people would have been writing about people like big Dev or Chris McLean. Would Gerry's mullet have his own Facebook page or maybe twentypences mustash. We often watch players in a different way now often with others opinions not just our own I suppose. Lambert was fat and sh** for a while wasn't he. On another subject how come linsey is one of our own but Ollie Clarke doesn't get the chant ?

Going down was the best thing to happen to us because we came straight back up and now have a group of players and manager hungry for success. Could have been so different if Ellis had not scored or any of the five missed there pens.

Am I right in saying Higgs said a couple of seasons ago we needed to average 6500 per game break even. If I am right and we are now dept free then surely we must be making a profit already. Happy days ?

Think Clarke is being very shrewd , if he was to come out and say right we have money to burn let's bring in 3 or 4 loans he would probably upset the balance and togetherness in the squad. Think the summer will be a different story although still believe he aim to add quality to the work rate we already have. Still think we probably will see a loan signing or possibly 2 by the deadline.

This needs to be seen as a long term project to view the benefits if they did go down this route. Seem to me it would make sense to tie down a generation of football fans that once 16 will be full price paying fans. oh and I don't have children so would not personally benefit from this.

I think this would be a great way for the new owners to secure the future fan base for the gas. Not sure how much it would cost the club but long term gain should outway loss.
