Maybe f**k the supporters club off then? Hardly like they represent the fanbase anyway. Absolute nonsense here from Wael, funds could be introduced through a share issue capitalizing existing loan so no benefit accrues to minority as Dwane Holdings increased shares dilute minority holding. It could be done easily if the family wanted a bigger playing budget. Agree totally. There are a number of easy ways that they can invest without the benefit accruing to the minority shareholders (of whom I am one). Listened to the interview at the ground and was very depressed by it. Gave me no confidence that the family want to be to involved. It is interesting that since the UWE collapse Wael and Hamer have been highlighting the difference between Dwane Sports and Bristol Rovers. All a smokescreen to make Wael look better. A few months before the UWE collapse I was in a dialogue with Wael about the group structure especially around the ownership of The Colony and also the possibly of renaming Dwane Sports "Bristol Rovers Sports". Wael's exact words cut and pasted from his last message to me was "Renaming it Bristol Rovers sports group is a great idea however ! But don't worry Rovers and Dwane are one . " Times have changed!

Really can't see the point of this signing - much more pressing need for a LB or CB. Good luck to him seems a good prospect. Agree on CB - apart from performances, leadership appears to be lacking. Went to see Havant v Boreham Wood on Tuesday in National League as Danny Woodward’s and Angelo Balanta were playing for BW. Was impressed by their CB’s Manny Parry and Dave Stephens Saw Sutton United v Eastleigh on Tuesday night. Charlie Clough playing centre-back for Sutton was man of the match. WYHHB

"Note: I did not include Henbury Gas's ratings for this game. It is my belief that you need to be at a game to fully assess players' performance. This may be opening a can of worms as there isn't really a way I can police this, but Henbury did state on another thread that he watched the game on ifollow."
I think that it is reasonable to have a consistent policy such as this. I watched a number of games last season on ifollow from my home in Malaysia but only rated on here when physically watching in the UK. As you say it is impossible to police. Just have to trust people !!

Slocombe 5.5 - no chance with both goals. No difficult saves to make but distribution poor and look a bit shaky at times when balls came into the box.
Leadbitter 5 - no doubt is a good player but appears to be lacking confidence and fitness Lockyer 5 - doesn't inspire confidence. Thought at the end of last season he was passing better but back to hoofball today. At times looked a good player but too prone to errors. Craig 5 - again looks vulnerable when balls come into the box. Not a bad performance but a few lapses of concentration. J. Clarke 5.5 - steady performance but lacks pace going forward and being right footed means he is quite predictable and easier to defend against when he does.
Rodman 5 - his poor clearance in the first minute led to the move for the first goal. We know he is a good player from past performances against us but did not really do much today. Upson 6.5 - a number of errors but clearly our best player today Lines 5.5 - very inconsistent error strewn performance. Clearly not match fit but gave 100% and was out on his feet at the end Sercombe 5.5 - some good moments but did not have much influence on the game. Playing on the left hand side is clearly not his best position.
Bennett 5 - bullied off the ball too often. When he plays does behind the front-man in away games he almost always seems too lightweight. More effective in this role in home games when we are on the front foot and he has more time on the ball Nichols 5.5 - held the ball up a lot better than could had been expected but still muscled off the ball far to often to be selected as the lone striker. Had a few half-chances. All strikers need to be taking a percentage of these. Had good support from the Rovers fans.
Subs: Reilly 5 - one or too good moments but appeared lightweight Matthews 5.5 - one or too good moments and gave some energy to the team Mensah 5 - too many lapses of concentration leading to unforced errors. Clearly, although not very tall, the strongest of the current bunch of front men in the air. Would of hoped after a pre-season training at league One level he would be starting to deliver after bedding in last season. Needs to start scoring.
Crowd 6 - Gasheads quieter than usual for most of the game. Ref 6 Peterborough 7 - Two goals very well taken. Then they relaxed and sat back. Although we had lots of position we did not really trouble their keeper until the last few minutes. Their back line looked strong and their defending was very organised unlike ours.

Slocombe 6- distribution could of been better
J. Clarke 6- good defensive performance but did not give us enough going forward Lockyer 8 - coped well with Eaves and distribution a lot better than usual Craig 7.5 - very assured performance Brown 7.5 - not many errors and got forward well for the goal. Will be missed
Moore 6.5 - frustrating. Needs to beat the final man and score more goals but has got the ability Lines 7.5 - most good things were started by him but did not pass the ball as quickly as was needed and played too deep Sercombe 6.5 - a few good moments but has had better games Bennett 6 - well off the pace
Nichols 4.5 - bullied off the ball far too often. Had his chance in this game to come good against a poor side but did not take it Harrison 5 - good effort but looked out of sorts. Goals have dried up.
Subs: Telford 7 - DC implied in his post match interview that whilst he is a good goal scorer the rest of his game is not up to it. We desperately need a goal scorer though. Gaffney 5.5 - Good effort but we do not need another striker who cannot score regularly. Broom 5- did not take his chance to impress.
Crowd 9 - superb atmosphere at times Ref 5 Gillingham 5

Slocombe 6 - distribution not as good as usual and looked a little nervy at times
J. Clarke 6.5 - good defensive display. Probably the best defensive full back in the club but doesn't give enough going forward Craig 7.5 - good steady performance Broadbent 5.5 - great potential but large number of mistakes. Not the easy pitch on which to be a dribbling central defender. Brown 6 - ok performance but gives the winger too much space. Not helped by Bennett not being the best defensive winger.
Lockyer 7 - did ok. One great saving tackle. One bad mistake which almost led to a goal. Limited in midfield has currently does not have the ability to play the killer pass.
Moore 8 - worked hard and very skilful. Needs to score more. Lines 6.5 - got an extra half for the goal. Tried hard but until the last minute not much impact. Corners need improving. O. Clarke 6.5 - battled hard but too many errors (although it is a difficult pitch to be skilful on) Bennett 6.5 - Not as good as recently. Appears lightweight against the better teams. However always capable of moments of brilliance which is vital to the team.
Harrison 6 - appears to be in need of a rest after a hard (brilliant) season. Not asked to defend in this game. Two reasonable chances. A top striker would of taken one or both.
Subs: Gaffney 5.5 Telford 5.5 Baghdadi 6
Crowd 7 - superb atmosphere at times. Ref 5 Blackburn 7 - clearly a good professional uncompromising team with a number of Chanpionship level players. If not for one of the worst misses seen at the Mem would have won.

Slocombe 8 - Good vital saves and good distribution
J. Clarke 5.5 - - Not a bad performance but lacks the attacking instincts which are needed at home Lockyer 6.5 Did ok as a makeshift midfielder Craig 7 - Calm and organised performance Brown 6.5 - Did ok especially in the unfamiliar right back role
Moore 6.5 - good first half, battled hard. Should have the confidence to be more direct at times O. Clarke 6 - battled but at times sloppy Sercombe 7 - looked good before the injury and think that we would have won if he had stayed fit Mensah 6 - positional play poor but did ok on the ball. Could be good once he gets used to League One football and has more experience
Bennett 8.5 - like Billy before him, he is clearly a class above everyone else in the team in terms of natural ability. Needs to perform away from home as well where he tends to be bullied a bit more. Harrison 6 - good defensively and worked hard. Not so good today in the air offensively and still needs to add a few more goals to his game to fully fulfil his potential
Subs: Broadbent 6.5 Clearly still finding his feet but did well. Needs to play regularly with Craig now so that we reap the benefits next season. Gaffney 5 - a few good moments but looks out of this depth. When his confidence is up he can just about hack it in League One but think that we need to replace him with a big more prolific goal scorer Kelly 6.5 - looked very promising especially going forward. Based on this cameo I would prefer him to Bola (and would be a cheaper option)
Crowd 6 Ref 6 Charlton 7

Slocombe 7.5 Great important saves plus good distribution
Partington 6.5 Very good apart from very bad (unbelievably bad) crossing Lockyer 6.5 Was involved a lot but distribution often poor. Missed a good headed chance. Craig 7 Very steady Bola 6 Average dispay
Mensah 6 Looked to have ability. One for the future. Lines 6.5 Lots of effort and good penalty. Bad error for their goal. His corners were not up to the standard of those by Bury. O. Clarke 6.5 Mixed bag. Early booking did not help. Bennett 8 Had a quiet spell in the middle but a class act. If he can toughed up and not get bullied against better teams then he will be a very good player.
Nichols 5.5 Not a bad game but had chances to score. Not sitters but there comes a time where your top strikers have to put away at least one or two more difficult ones. Harrison 6 Did not appear fit. Had one good effort which was saved but quite quiet apart from that.
Subs: Moore 6 useful input Telford 7 made a difference. Has a striker's instinct.
Crowd 6 quite quiet for most of the game Ref 6 average. Thought that the penalty was soft. Bury 5 Not very good and we should have despatched them more easily

Slocombe 7 - couple of good saves. Better distribution than Smith. First choice keeper for me.
Partington 5.5 - mixed bag. Not fast enough for a wingback and not good enough defensively for a full back. Has talent though. J. Clarke 6.5 - very steady performance Broadbent 6.5 - A few errors but has dainty ball skills for such a large man. Adds height to the defence. Had a couple of good attacking chances where he could have done better. Craig 7.5 - good all round performance capped off by a goal. Bola 5 - passing poor. Having been booked he was the obvious choice to go when DC decided to change the formation.
Lines 6 - some good moments but gave the ball away far too often. O. Clarke 6 - mixed bag. Got stuck in but gave the ball away cheaply. Sercombe 5.5 - does not look as effective when stuck out wide.
Bennett 5 - gave the ball away too often and too easily out muscled. He is however very creative and with him on the pitch you always feel that we could create something.
Harrison 6.5 - could of sealed the win had he made more contact with the flick just after our goal. Good defensively but not so much an attacking threat as usual.
Subs: Gaffney 5 - tries hard but is more of a League two rather than League one striker Mensah 5.5 - did not do much but showed some glimpses of potential. Had one good chance where he could have done better. Nichols nole - no impact at all
Crowd 6 - quite quiet for most of the game Ref 6 Peterborough 6 - decent side but not at their best

Slocombe 7 - one vital save, good distribution. Feel more assured with him in goal.
Partington 6 - good attacking play but has defensive weaknesses Lockyer 7 - very good first half. Could have done better with their goal. Craig 6 - one very bad mistake but is a calming influence. Brown 6 - reasonable going forward but defensively weak. Often exposed as Sercombe did not provide cover.
Sercombe 6.5 - reasonable performance couple of near misses. Does not do much defensively Lines 6.5 - felt during the game that he could had been more imposing. However after listening to his post match interview I understand why he wasn't. Sinclair 6.5 - good battling performance. Missed a good chance in first half. Bennett 7.5 - Very good especially first half. Not so effective towards the end when we needed him.
Gaffney 6 - battled hard and did some good things but needed him to be more of a goal threat Harrison 6.5 - reasonable performance. Not as effective as usual and missed a good chance to win it
Subs: J. Clarke 5 Did not add anything Moore 5 a few ok moves but needed to impose more Telford 5 a couple of good contributions but needed more
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Northampton 5 - looked to be there for the taking. Did not look much of a threat until their scorer came on as sub

Smith 6 - a couple of good saves but did not appear confident
Partington 5.5 - did ok but a number of mistakes and lacks pace Lockyer 7 - distribution better Broadbent 8 - looked commanding and only centreback in the club confident to bring the ball out with any skill Brown 6 - ok game
Lines 5.5 - playing in a deeper role and did not have a huge impact O. Clarke 6 - mixed game. Good at times but a number of mistakes Sinclair 8.5 - I thought that with his energy levels the last game of the Xmas period would give him the chance to impact whilst others flagged. Did not disappoint.
Bodin 6 - poor first half in particular but always looked likely to score Nichols 5.5 - he has got skill and worked hard but must score at least 10 goals a season even in a non-striker role Gaffney 6.5 - mixture of good and poor first touches
Subs: Sweeney 6 - average performance Harrison 8 - looked a class above Gaffney when he came on Sercombe 7.5 - made an impact
Crowd 8 Ref 8 Portsmouth 6

Smith 5 - not much to do but does not inspire confidence. Poor distribution at times
Leadbitter 5 - defensively weak and not as good as usual going forward Lockyer 5.5 - Ok at times, but not a leader, distribution poor at times and prone to mistakes Sweeney 5 - looked poor when put under any pressure Brown 5.5 - ok at times but too many unforced mistakes
Partington 5 - not very commanding Sinclair 5 - effort there but quality wasn't Sercombe 5.5 - best of the midfield but didn't dominate
Bodin 3 - looked totally disinterested Gaffney 6.5 - committed performance and the main attacking threat Harrison 7.5 - not his best game but if they all tried as hard as Ellis we would have won. He seemed to head clear every corner and attacking free kick that Donny had. Made one memorable interception chasing back. Would be more effective in attack if he did not need to defend as much. From zero to hero in a few months. Well played Ellis. Now my favourite player.
Subs: Lines 4.5 - no impact Nichols 3 - really needs to start and make an impact even when on for a short time Telford 5 - not much of an impact but more than Nicholls
Crowd 7 Ref 4 Doncaster 5 - won because they were slightly more organised than us. If we had gone 4-4-2 with Billy wide I think that we would have been more effective

Smith 6 made some good saves but gave away a silly penalty
Leadbitter 5. Was an attacking threat but defensively weak Lockyer 5. Failed to organise the defence and slow to get to the ball for their second goal Sweeney 5. Not as commanding as recent Brown 5. Not a convincing display
Partington 5. No need to give away the penalty and not as effective as in recent weeks Sinclair 5.5. Tried hard but not effective Sercombe 5.5. Not as effective as usual but scored a good goal
Bodin 4. Was well marked but had numerous opportunities from dead ball situations and other opportunities but failed to influence the game Gaffney 5. Totally ineffective Harrison 5.5. Poorest game for a while. Was welled marked by their defence
Subs: O. Clarke 4.5. Didn’t have an impact Nichols 5. Too lightweight Broom - didn’t do much 4.5
Crowd 5 Ref 8. Got the important decisions correct Gillingham. 7. Confidence was boosted by the first two goals. Unlikely to play as well very often

Hadn't read about the closure and only found out on route. On the trip down it took me two hours to get from Junction 12 to Junction 13 and at times I thought about giving up. Lucky that I had left earlier than usual or would have missed the kick off. On the way back the detour only added another 50 minutes. Appears a bit hit and miss. Closed again next weekend so hope that the supporters club coaches leave enough time to get to Gillingham. Assume that the team will leave the day before and not risk it.

Smith 6 -not much to do, still did not inspire as much confidence as one would hope
Leadbitter 8 - awesome attacking performance Lockyer 6.5 - watched him closely. One brilliant run and steady defending. Didn't look as calm under pressure and passing still needs improving Sweeney 7.5 - very steady performance Brown 6.5 - steady performance but looked a bit panicky when given the ball under pressure
Partington 7.5 - good all round performance. Gives the team a better balance Sinclair 7 - good all action display Sercombe 8- all action game. His goals are a vital part of his game.
Bodin 9 - a class above anyone else on the pitch. At times his control and quickness of feet were breathtaking. Also tracked back very effectively when needed. Gaffney 7.5 - good all round performance. A goal would have increased the mark. Harrison 8.5 - gone from being my least favourite to most favourite player. A good first half but awesome in the second.
Crowd 8 - the Mem was rocking at times in the second half. Ref 8 - got a few things wrong but by far one of the best referees we have had this season Southend 5 - for a period in the first half looked good and missed a couple of chances. Blown away in the second half and looked one of the poorest teams seen at the Mem this season.

Smith 6 a couple of very good saves, one bad error and distribution poor Leadbitter 7.5 Good game, constant threat and best player by far Lockyer 4.5 poor game. Improved slightly when Sweeney came on Broadbent 4 looked out of his depth Brown 4.5 poor game but good goal Sinclair 4 not very effective O Clarke 3 what has happened to the Ollie Clarke of last year? Lines 4 had a lot of the ball but lack of quality including set pieces was one of the main reasons for our poor display Sercombe 5.5 best of a poor midfield Harrison 5.5 no support Nichols 4 no support but too lightweight Subs: Sweeney 6 the defence improved when he came on Bodin 5.5 added a bit of quality but did not do a lot Gaffney 5.5 improved things a bit but nothing special Crowd 6 Ref 7 Dons 7 upfront movement excellent, ripped us apart and well taken goals. Should of have had scored more

Smith 6 - largely untroubled. Struggled with distribution in the first half although the wind was against him.
Leadbitter 7.5 - Best game for a while. His pace rescued us a few times and gave good options going forward Lockyer 6 - ok game but struggled at times against pace Broadbent 7- assured performance Brown 6.5 - looks to be coming back into form
Sercombe 6.5 - worked hard but can be better O. Clarke 6.5 - mixed bag. Superb amount of effort especially in second half but a bit hit and miss in terms of quality Lines 5 - disappointing. Lacked his usual quality and influence Sinclair 6.5 - a bit hit and miss in terms of quality but we would have struggled without his work rate
Nichols 6.5 - showed lots of good touches. You have the feeling that potentially he can get a lot better Gaffney 7 - a bit hit and miss in terms of quality but scored a good goal and caused their defence many problems
Subs: Telford NOLE Moore NOLE
Crowd 7 - at times subdued but it was an emotional day Ref 7 - better than most. Prepared to let things flow and not be over zealous with the cards MK Dons 4 - one of the poorest teams seen this season although had one or two decent players who troubled us at times

Slocombe 6.5 Good safe pair of hands
Partington 6 did ok. Winger gave him a few problems and could of been a more attacking force Lockyer 6.5 did quite well apart from the mistake for the goal Sweeney 6.5 steady performance Brown 7 his best display for a while
Lines 6.5 mixed bag O. Clarke 6 very poor first half. Much better in the second Sercombe 7 Good performance but can play better Bodin 6.5 Great goal but is capable of a lot more at this level
Gaffney 6.5 great goal and assist but quite sloppy at times Harrison 7 Good all round display but a number of errors. Am rapidly being converted to a big fan but he needs more goals, especially away from home
Sub: Nichols 6.5 unlucky but needs a goal
Crowd 8 good atmosphere in the ground Ref 4 Plymouth 5 looked a very poor side but still had enough chances to beat us easily. Blissett was a handful
