Whoever sent that snip to him hasn’t done anybody any favours. Pretty silly really - what would the best possible outcome have been? Was only ever going to rile and stir up he situation I doubt DMAC was ever going to respond with "that's a fair assessment of the present situation"!!!! I guess what he didn't say is the most important, in that he didn't say Rovers had shown no interest in JCH or they couldn't afford him, or it's immaterial now what was agreed as he's now agreed a deal with another club (Derby). I wonder how Posh let this happen if they are apparently awash with money? theathletic.com/4727680/2023/07/29/peterborough-administration-risk/Where’s the reliable source that JCH has agreed a deal with Derby?

Amazing the bollucks people post or say to others.
There are so many Jay from the inbetweeners types out there. Pathetic. What do grown adults get from it?
(Not necessarily saying that those that post what they’ve heard are, but those who feed them the BS)

Talking of Ben Garnish. Not a great start other than a 3 - 0 win out of nowhere for Colchester.

The Ben Garnish team had Brandon Hanlan and James Daly. That was basically it.
Marked difference to all the attacking players we have at the moment.
We are missing and absolute punisher of a goalscorer though.
Enter JCH.

Well it would be fantastic if true. I keep telling myself this won't happen as I don't want to be dissapointed come the end of the week if there isn't some fancy new social media video following him signing. However, a lot of things seem to be aligning and I am starting to believe this may be possible. - Posh have transfer listed him. - We have new owners/investors who it appears may be willing to spend some money. - JCH still has a lot of links to the area by the sounds of it. - Barton says we are interested in him. - Posh owe us a bit of money. It would not be the Bristol Rovers we have known in the past if we start spending nearly £1m on a player but this is very much starting to look possible and I am starting to get excited by the whole thing. I know the squad hasn't performed brilliantly in the last couple of games but a signing of the calibre of JCH would give everyone another lift and we would probably have the strongest squad with some real strength in depth that I have known in my time watching Rovers. I do not buy into this "he wouldn't fit into our style of play" rubbish as he is probably the best and most consistent striker in L1 over the last few seasons and whilst he might not be the quickest, he can score from anywhere within 25 yards of goal, he can hit them with his left foot, right foot and head them as well as the odd spectacular overhead kick. And when he played for us, whilst it might not have been the interchangeable fluid front line we see now under Barton, he still popped up in both channels and allowed wide players to come inside of him and I see no reason why he couldn't do the same in this side at all. Fully agree with all of that. Other thing I'll say - and this isn't directed at you as literally everyone says the same thing - "fluid" front line..... how many goals has that got us? "Fluid" front line and zero goals Or less mobile front line and goals galore Might be worth considering! Watch the 19/20 clip posted the other day and there’s a good few number of goals where Josh Hare (what happened to him?) whipped in a cross and JCH put it away. Saturday the number of crosses put in by Hare, Friend, Thomas and Sinclair which went nowhere which could have been goals with JCH in the middle was unreal.

If we sign JCH we’ll not just have the highest scoring league one striker but the top 2 unless we offload Marquis at the same time

Just my two Bob's worth, but every time I see jch score none of his own team seen to run towards him,I know nothing about the guy but he doesn't come over as a team player, even if he scores plenty, anyway I very much doubt he'll return, but would like to see it happen. Maybe at Peterborough. Watch back those clips shared earlier and it’s a very different story

Fair point. Personally I’d be delighted to have him back, but I just don’t want people to expect he’s going to drag us to promotion. Our style of play is very different to back then and I worry about his service. When we was with us before he’d just pick up the ball himself and create chances, I don’t think he’ll get the same opportunity this time around. Let’s see, hopefully I’m wrong Does he really need to drag this team to promotion, when we look good enough to get promoted if we can sign a striker as before yesterday we would have been top if we'd taken our chances. Even yesterday until Wycombe scored we looked by far the better team. I think you’ve answered your own question tops. If we don’t sign JCH, we need someone of a similar mould.

Check the bit of play started and finished by him here 1 min 30 into this video. Exactly what we need as our 9! He wasn’t defending then but this reminds me how he’s worth half of the fee for his defence of set pieces too.

I wouldn’t get rid of Collins to facilitate getting in JCH. He’ll find his form again sometime soon and he’s been so bad since about March we wouldn’t get our worth for him.

Felt buzzing before the match. Stands are humongous, and whilst as supporters we don’t get to use the new dugouts they look fantastic. See through so visibility on east terrace improved.

My take on the “bad attitude” is that he gets frustrated when his teammates don’t contribute as much as he does either through lack of ability, making mistakes or lack of effort.
Basically I see it as him wanting to do his best, and the club he’s at as well. Not a bad thing imo but a very good thing.
From JB there’s the suggestion he could do with a bit more discipline off the pitch regards his own fitness but that’s something he could work with him on if he was to sign.
He’d be a cracking signing, IMO.

Sorry, Darragh we can't sign JCH just yet as our media team can't think of a new signing introductory video. Video of a JCB but with JCH on it? That’s the best I can do.

How big is Ashton gate? Whack an extra 3,000 on top. 😁 Ashton gate is 27,000, hence my comment of having a 27,001 capacity Fair enough, but we’ll need a few extra K for bragging rights! Weird it’s a round number?

Interesting…. Doesn’t obviously imply we’re in the hunt but certainly gives the impression. Unless we’re calling up asking about if we’re getting a sell on or if there’s another Tom Nichols kicking around for us to sign.

No it's not, that is a fallacy. The reason the approval is taking longer is because the green councillor called it in. No one knows what documents were needed or what rovers supplied. It's easy to criticise rovers but how do you know they didn't submit what was needed? No one in planning has ever said this was a problem. I think rovers have handled it well. Be ambitious and just get on with it. As for the greens, why did they get involved? I blame the greens because they seem to be meddling and not being genuine about their interest in this. As with Sainsbury's they do all they can to delay and add costs to projects. The greens choose to make it political when it didn't need to be. I'm going on this from the 22nd: If you want to disbelieve her, thats fine, but if she is lying, she'd have to resign so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Also she has no reason (I can think of) to lie. Why would she have to resign? Politicians lie for fun.
