I'm afraid we will definitely lose some of that atmosphere when/if we move. It is synonymous with old grounds and you can't recreate it in the new style grounds. It's everything about the place. UTG I don't agree with that , it's the fans that make an atmosphere not a stadium....new or old. The acoustics at the Mem are hardly conducive to good atmosphere. Most of the 'noise' is lost anyway due to the open nature of the ground. I think ( & hope ) it will be better at our new ground ......if and when it ever gets built. Take a trip to trashton if you really want to see what happens when everyone is sat down. I was there V Blackburn and it was dire. They have tried very hard to get a section of the ground where they lead the singing etc in an attempt to try and do it like the Poles and others who have ppl who do nothing but have their backs to the game and lead the chants but it's awful. If you think that any UWE type ground can ever recreate the atmosphere of terraced grounds then I think you haven't really had the experience. When a goal comes then there is a brief rising from chairs and some clapping. Then, I'm not one who actually likes the idea of the UWE and loss of the pubs and pre match preamble. I'd be happy to see the mem redeveloped.

DC has said and this was backed up by Steve Hamer on radio Bristol, that he had funds but didn't want to buy players at inflated prices now when some will be free agents in the summer. Steve Hamer seemed as surprised as most of us when we didn't bring in anyone to replace the slithering one. I don't know if you are/were joking but funds were available and DC has said he has always had the backing but then he went on about the budget of a bottom 8 club. It's not surprising some question finances when we get such ambiguous stuff but please don't buy into the 82 Ltd crap about us not having anything to spend. It's bread and butter for them when our own fans start repeating their nonsense "I don't know if you are/were joking" Alas I was, sorry. Fair play. Sorry in that case

Thank you. That was a superb bit of interplay from Bodin, to lay off that pass. The ball just got pushed that tiny bit too far for Gaffney to properly control it and fair play that he didn't even remonstrate with the GK or ref. He knew he'd blown it. For what it's worth I think that when he hits the net, from free play, he will come good and it would be great if that were at this part of the season

How many Rovers pubs have closed? I can think of The Royal Archer The Farriers Arms, and the Station Master How about the one closest to Holly hill ? The Anchor made for ever. I have heard the lamb is done too. Pubs aren't something where you can make a decent wage now and not when you can buy cans for less than a nicker. Prior to the Archer shutting the landlord used to buy the cans and sell them in there just to keep it going. Felt absolutely gutted seeing it ripped apart. As for the Vic ? The landlady is a foul mouthed harridan sheeeted who closed the pub when we got promotion and not on police orders. She tried to say we had causedd her thousands of pounds of damage when it was bloody closed and always bitches about the cleaning up on match days. You would think she would be glad of the extra income without which she wouldn't have been able to stay open as long as she has. She also has a nasty habit of banning people just on the basis of not liking them. Good riddance I say. ''Tis a 5h1te hole anyway

Wael could give the SC the funds . Why would he do that? He doesn't even give DC any funds... And our old foe McWinless is doing rather well at Aberdeen and is a favourite for the Rangers job. I think he was probably a decent manager and it highlights the issues at BCFC for so many managers with great resources to fail. It needs to change from the top down. Funny how these things go. They 82 Ltd, football division of Bristol sports, has now got a couple of fans raising a petition to get rid of squeaky. We may have had some hapless souls managing but I can't remember a petition being raised to be rid of any of them. Buckle was the subject of the most hatred but then, when you have a Bristolian like Phil Kyte telling the fans what he called us then I think it was fair enough. Looking back on it all now and with hindsight I would have liked to have seen Dave Penney get a proper chance sans the players revolt. He came under fire for being honest and saying he had never ever seen a team that was so unfit as a whole. The truth certainly hurt didn't it lol. What a journey we have had and we are in a great position yet some are into trying to do a forensic examination of the current owners, who certainly saved us from more embarrassment and possible admin. I said to my uncle a few seasons back that Rovers fans would still find something to argue about even if we were in the top half on league one. That's one I really wish I was wrong about. As it is I think we look like a bunch of bipolar loons.

I'm still amazed that Abramovich is continuing to bankroll Chelski, as I can't believe he's made any real money from that enterprise. I would have thought he would be bored by now and want another yacht rather than stump up the cash for a stadium redevelopment. Perhaps he still gets a buzz from it that he can't get anywhere else and maybe, just maybe, the same is true for Wael. We will just have to hope that the rest of the AQ family feel the love too. Amongst the super wealthy, owning a football club carries some kudos with it. We don't have an Abramovich type of owner but a family and I believe this is what will be of bigger benefit. We are in very early days of the new owners yet, because of the many years of failed and broken promises, many think we should see things change super quickly. If you have a proper look then you will see that the Al Qadi family habe done a hell of a lot and this ride is going to be an exciting one. I, for one, truly believe they want to build us into a tip top club. I habe no worries at all about their plans but I do worry that impatient fans could make them feel that they should move on. We need to quit the negative stuff and forensic questioning right now and look forward to becoming a club that is self sustaining and best club in the West Country.

First rule of business " protect your investment" Yep. Split Asset co from trading co. If trading co goes tits up then asset co is protected. It seems to me that there are two types of rich investor: 1) Play boy business person who has always wanted to have a football team. Not interested in the day to day and will fund the company until they get bored. Vincent Tan comes to mind. 2) Business people who want to do it for profit reasons. The end game is always going to be the 'Exit strategy'. Realistically we have the 2nd. In 10-15 years time they have built up an asset and an infrastructure to make the business as a whole (Dwane Sports) more valuable than the sum of its parts. At which point they will sell, possibly to a pension scheme somewhere. We are in the same position really as DC and SH were in the summer over whatshisname. What were our options? Debt and being the next Hereford or the chance of survival and maybe more. Everyone's hands were forced in both situations. All we can do is try and enjoy the ride. So far so good. We can't begrudge our saviours (assuming we were as close to the edge that has been reported) if they want to make money. It could be a lot worse right now. Yate Town away next week? (Sorry any Yate Town fans, just the Hereford Vs Yate Town video was posted recently). That is exactly as I see it and I have always been bothered about how long the owners will stay. Only time will tell. The fact that Wael is an avid fan could be the difference though and I certainly hope he feels we are something he wants to remain involved in & he builds us up into the very best we can be. Longevity of ownership has been my only worry with the buy out.

Do you think it's good to pay a player who can still pose a decent threat when in comparison to the forwards we have now but rule him out completely? We saw that DC backtracked on Mildy so it's not like anyone would be shocked. In my opinion it's a case of cutting your nose to spite your face plus no one is seeing Easter to consider making an offer of any sort. It seems to me we have a strike force that is lacking in confidence & we look toothless right now. I see your point however we have played 3 good sides we have only scored 1 goal yes but only let 1 in too? Give them a few more games yet before we judge. I wouldn't mind seeing Easter back he still has plenty to offer in this division but we all know how stubborn DC seems to be! In DC we trust. I've given the club 44 years so I'm not about to abandon hope just yet lol. I wasn't there yesterday so it's good to read it was entertaining but we looked solid since snake left though not posing any real threat up front. We shall see. Personally I just really wouldn't like to see us playing dead rubbers in the last month or more. It would be great to be playing for a play off spot even if failing and good experience for the squad. I don't know about anyone else but it already feels like we are planning for next season.

It's interesting that according to Wiki Easter's played 59 games, I wonder if a contract extension kick in if he gets to 60 games, as I can't think of any other reason why we'd be paying his wages but not playing him now that the transfer window has closed, given he's been a regular first team squad member all season. Certainly didn't think of that & could be a possibility as I honestly thought he has a great first touch & good footballing brain. I'd have liked to see him just behind our front two. It just seems so unnecessary as I see it. Why restrict yourself from playing a guy who certainly scored some clever goals ? Your theory could well hold water.

Ridiculous decision to cut him out altogether. A bloody waste paying his wages and being too stubborn not to include him.
Crikey, did you not get a card today or something? Do you think it's good to pay a player who can still pose a decent threat when in comparison to the forwards we have now but rule him out completely? What exactly was the response of other fans when Puddy was spat at? Pretty depressing that he was getting verbal abuse as well. Jesus. If true then we really are now no different to the 82

You keep banging on about THIS seasons attendance in the same breath as THIS seasons budget. In reality, this seasons attendance won't come into affect until next season Why, it's all revenue into the club and increased revenue. If you are referring to the fair play rules we are exempt from that for the first year after promotion. 2 years excemption when promoted from non league. No excemption for league clubs being promoted

This is the biggest "I dont give a sh** im off in the summer, im better than this.." interview ever. More interested in how the league position reflects on his own portfolio ("i've ended up here" etc) rather than talking about how they were going to improve. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26287707Quite a few of his ex teammates who didnt hang up their boots following relegation certainly helped tonk his team last weekend anyway . Blimey. No wonder they now encourage young players to say nothing but bland platitudes when they interview. The litmus test would've been if they interviewed them all at that time. He was right about relegation though, we had a team that underperformed as a unit. It was like watching a team all who had taken Valium before they got on the pitch. Imagine how frustrating it was for him to be in such a poor, position at that point.

It was all about getting game time. I feel DC may have damaged our future ability to get loan players. He'll do whatever he needs to do to get results, after all it's his reputation and he doesn't owe the loanees anything. But it's not going to make bigger clubs want to loan us players is it. After all, their aim is to loan players outmso they get game time. Him going to Swindon certainly makes me feel a bit sick

Like Macca did against Northhampton? Not only was he organising the defence but he was also telling the midfielders where to position themselves and when and where to make runs. Watched him do this a bunch of times Saturday. Hope he can stay fit as he will be crucial to any success we will have this season. Exactly. Spot of mate

So Brentford have £15m in the bank and are now going to buy the untried MT to replace Hogan, does anybody really believe there's any truth in this article? As far as him being linked with multiple Championship clubs can anybody name another one's he's presently being linked with? Wolves and Birmingham I believe

Indeed. Forum meltdown first goal he conceeded To be fair the defence don't communicate anyway so it doesn't matter what language he speaks. Was only saying to my friend that this is the quietest rovers team I've known. There seems to be no one calling the shots or organising or even yelling for the ball. We need some players who can talk and make some motivational shouts imo
