pretty embarrassing post. I dislike it when a poster makes a condescending comment about someone's post. As it happens I don't completely agree with the original post, but we are here to have debates, not suppress them. sorry if my comment on someone else’s post offends you. I guess I bit and felt the need to call out something which is demonstrably incorrect to anyone who is even slightly aware of Chris hughtons career to date.

Haughton is a likeable guy and it's hard to dislike him even if he becomes the next manager of them but when people say hes the proven man to get clubs out of the championship then I'm sorry but I don't agree. Hes been a number 2 for most of his non playing days and yes the brighton era was good but hes no proven manager when it comes to the likes of mick McCarthy and warnock. It's a good appointment but if trolls follows him then I can see their fans on his back before work has begun pretty embarrassing post.

"terracing" little chance of that happening the best you could hope for his safe standing and CV19 may well have killed that idea off unless somebody comes up with a vaccine. As much as I’d love a terrace behind the goal, I can’t see that happening. However, those of us that do stand behind the blackthorn end at games have already started discussions on how to make the atmosphere at the possibility of a new stadium just as good as it is now on the terrace. That means making sure we’re organised in making sure we’re sat together, Creating a movement that people recognise as the song starters at games so we can get displays and the atmosphere going at games etc. We probably are ahead of ourselves, but it’s important we’re on the front foot because I’ve seen enough times at new stadiums where the atmosphere is dreadful, and it’s important that we position ourselves in the stadium right and organise ourselves correctly to not deter people away. Maybe it’s just me but this post made me cringe a bit to be honest.

Afternoon all, been advised by someone close to aldershot town that we are looking at this guy, know nothing about him but apparently a promising young talent. Sounds like the type of player we are looking to sign i guess. I'd be surprised if we risked any more of the club's money on Aldershot players after Mensah was a total flop. Sometimes signings don’t work out, not down to the club signed from though, wouldnt say no to one of Peterborough’s current strikers despite our last signing from them.

On the old forum I was never the biggest fan of Paul Trollope and at the time I got slaughtered for my comments and insistence on his total lack of man management Some of the things I said in that period included • he had fallen out with Sammy Igoe and Richard Walker • had stopped Walker from training with the first team • had not given him the opportunity to say good bye to the fans All now proven to be true I also stated he was a good coach but a useless manager after leaving Rovers he would never make it as a manager and our decline into L2 and beyond started with PT. His stats as a stand-alone manager were shocking. His recruitment pathetic and his tactics shocking. How he wasn’t sacked after a drubbing at Orient I will never know. Who can remember the marquee signings of Dominic Blizzard and Jeff Hughes. The useless barn door hitting Andy Williams Having read the Richard Walker article it reminded me of how sh** a manager PT was Stapletongas - maybe I knew more than you after all at the time. Wasn’t the first and doubt it will be last. Walker deserved a decent send off - PT showed him no respect And I did put my money where my mouth is and backed us at 10/1 to get relegated Hi joe, my recollection was that you had nothing good to say about anyone so law of averages says you would have been right about some things, pretty sure you slated Walker and lambert but can’t be certain as was a long time ago and life goes on. Don’t recall too much praise in your most recent posts as well but happy to be put straight if I am wrong.

I regret to confirm reports that Mr. Ken Masters, the Supporters Club’s elected Director on the Board of the Football Club, has been banned from not only the Boardroom but also from all the boxes in the West Stand, including that of the Rovers’ Community Trust of which he is the Chairman. The Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Supporters Club consider that Ken has done nothing wrong and he has our full and unanimous support. The matter has been placed in the hands of the Supporters Club’s solicitors and we can make no further comment at this time. Jim Chappell, Chairman.

Best wishes to Ben and his family.
On a side note, not a fan of censorship but feel this situation warrants it, posts questioning whether this situation is genuine should surely be removed, imagine if he was to read this thread, not sure I would come back personally.

So where's the ITK'ers gang, busy preparing for Monday's announcement or now lost all hope of the take over taking place? The ITK’ers were aware months ago that Hamer was leaving today. Seriously. Hamer didn’t know on Tuesday night when he was discussing his planned journey to Shrewsbury this weekend.

For me we have played better without him than with him this season, not sure that can really be disputed? Either needs to be dropped or lose the captaincy imo. Nothing personal like the lad but it’s just not working as far as I can see.

Embarrassing from a few tonight, I know some will accuse me of being a member of the “pc brigade” but if the fact that it is just plain wrong doesn’t deter you then maybe the fact that sanctions for this can be as tough as those for racist chanting (which is no worse) should put you off?

Can only really echo what has been said, always seemed to have a smile on his face and the acceleration was scary. Sometimes he didn’t look interested then seconds later would do something special. Seem to remember an interview with Jed maybe on park street when he was having a pint and a cigarette which would be unthinkable now, seem to remember it was pretty unthinkable then bless him!

So, why is it embarrassing that there is finally some evidence that things are actually going on behind scenes? I will also believe it when I’m sat in it, but it isn’t embarrassing. What is embarrassing is our shithole of a stadium because I’m personally embarrassed to hear about stadium talk, time and time again!! When we all know, that ultimately, it will NEVER happen. It will happen, the question is whether when it happens it will be on our terms. The mem land is too valuable.

Glad they acted but my understanding is that the punishment for the foul in this incident would have been violent conduct and therefore 3 matches? For me the ban for attempting to “frame” someone for that should at least match it. In fact just seen it, 5 match ban for me, up there with spitting.
