Watched them on Boxing Day, lively but little end result sadly, pretty much as I recall his time with us.

While previous posts indicate he wasn’t that popular on his last visit my only knowledge of him was his appearance on the undr the cosh podcast, found him very entertaining. No idea how his goalkeeper coaching is though.

Apologies if this has been established already, but why do you dislike Chris Lines quite so much? You won't get a reply, I've banned him. Utterly boring to read post after post contributing nothing to the forum other than to target a single footballer. JoeBananas needs to get over it and move on with his life. Thank god for that, all he has ever done is post spiteful bile against certain players with the aim of fishing for attention and that goes back as far as the previous forum over 10 years ago.

Just found this thanks for confirming. So basically people are still lapping up what Barton says because he is famous? What am I missing? He is doing significantly worse than his predecessors yet people are falling over each other to pat him on the back? I don’t think there is any point getting rid now but I wish people would be able to point out what a bad job he is doing without being shouted down. Mark McGhee was also 'famous' but he didnt last very long. Yes Barton is doing a bad job with the players at his disposal but after 3 managers the common denominator is the players, they aren't good enough and beyond finding "Billys Boots" for each of them im not sure how anyone can get points with this squad. I admit I wasnt a fan of Barton as a player or human being before he joined. Im still not now but I like the way he speaks and am optimistic that he will bring in the right players for this football club. Blaming Barton for failing to get anything out of a team already used to losing is like asking someone driving a 1.1L Ford Fiesta to compete with a Maserati GranCabrio over a few laps of Donington. To be fair I think McGhee got more time from the fans due to his “fame” from what I recall. Re the players don’t disagree but if he is doing twice as bad as either of his predecessors managed surely that indicates he is at fault as well? With all these wonderful motivational speeches and self help manual quotes is it not reasonable to have expected some sort of upturn or new manager bounce? The previous guys didn’t help but the introduction of Barton seems to have accelerated the deterioration quite dramatically. I hope he turns it around but dont really want to give him a blank cheque at the end of the season if he wasn’t able to at least squeeze some kind of improvement out of these players. It feels like most would accept losing every game between now and the end of the season with zero responsibility placed at Barton’s door and I find that astonishing.

Including cup games, here are the stats: Barton: Total 11 - W 2. D 1. L 8 Tisdale: Total 19 - W 5. D 3. L 11 Garner OVERALL: Total 33 - W 6. D 10. L 17 (Garner 19/20: Total 18 - W 2. D 5. L 11. / Garner 20/21: Total 15 - W 4. D 5. L 6) But just going by the league games, here are their points per game ratio: Garner 1.18 points per league game Tisdale 1.25 points per league game Barton 1.57 points per league game Bartons points per league game is 0.63 not 1.57 Just found this thanks for confirming. Out of interest have any stattos got Barton’s record vs the previous 2 to share? Including cup games, here are the stats: Barton: Total 11 - W 2. D 1. L 8 Tisdale: Total 19 - W 5. D 3. L 11 Garner OVERALL: Total 33 - W 6. D 10. L 17 (Garner 19/20: Total 18 - W 2. D 5. L 11. / Garner 20/21: Total 15 - W 4. D 5. Personally I am a fan, like that they are balanced in their analysis while clearly being happy when things go well. Also enjoy their little subtle squabbling.

The Rocky theme has been used as far back as 1990 and I don't recall us using many others. I have some vague recollection that we may have used Chumbawumba for a handful of games possibly around 2007? Pretty sure there was a break of many years before Rocky came back.

Unreal signing for them. I thought he would end up at League one level minimum. 1 year deal, possibly a result of the salary cap in leagues 1+2?

pretty embarrassing post. I dislike it when a poster makes a condescending comment about someone's post. As it happens I don't completely agree with the original post, but we are here to have debates, not suppress them. sorry if my comment on someone else’s post offends you. I guess I bit and felt the need to call out something which is demonstrably incorrect to anyone who is even slightly aware of Chris hughtons career to date.

Haughton is a likeable guy and it's hard to dislike him even if he becomes the next manager of them but when people say hes the proven man to get clubs out of the championship then I'm sorry but I don't agree. Hes been a number 2 for most of his non playing days and yes the brighton era was good but hes no proven manager when it comes to the likes of mick McCarthy and warnock. It's a good appointment but if trolls follows him then I can see their fans on his back before work has begun pretty embarrassing post.
