Yet again Radio Bris via freeview has 82 coverage even though they are at home. As I type this before turning off they are one down 😁 It feels like they've stopped airing the away games on Freeview now, shame as I don't have an FM radio so will be following on here/Bristol Live instead

And who are you to tell other fans who have supported the club for years not to attend games? I've seen some moronic posts on here over the years but this one takes top spot. Who are you to question my opinion. The stay away fans don’t like it when you question why they would depart a club they supposedly love so much due to who’s in charge. In my opinion it’s pathetic. I’m entitled to that opinion. Don’t like it don’t read it. Why do you keep telling people to respect your opinion but then in the same breath tell people with a different opinion to you that they shouldn't come to matches? Nobody is "Barton out" because they don't love the club, if anything they're Barton out precisely because they love the club. Gasheads arguing amongst themselves over this doesn't help anything.

Lots of people hear will hate that result Literally no Rovers fan out there will hate that result. Whatever anybody thinks about Barton, we all support the gas and we all celebrate when we win.

Nobody's being 'cancelled' on here due to the comments they're posting, people are simply disagreeing. So many people these days complain about 'snowflakes' then as soon as people call them out on something start talking about cancel culture. This is very much an issue on society. If you disagree with a claim, you get vilified with 'cancel culture' and 'snowflake' comments. Yet again more irony is that actually, those who can't enter sensible debate and end up attacking other people with comments such as 'cancel culture' or 'snowflake' because they have a differing opinion, is actually the most snowflake thing to do. I agree it does happen in society, my point was that it seemed you were saying people were being cancelled due to their comments in this thread, and I was saying they're not, people are simply arguing against them. Big difference between disagreements and being attacked.

In this world of cancel culture which evidently exists in this forum by my reading through the comments. I will not say anything. Please remember the effigy of David Beckham being strung up on a lamp post for being sent off against the cheating Argentina team at a previous world cup.People don't like losing and want someone to blame. So I guess they are blaming the Nobody's being 'cancelled' on here due to the comments they're posting, people are simply disagreeing. Let me google that for you: racistadjective
prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. "we are investigating complaints about racist abuse" noun
a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. "he has been targeted by vicious racists online" Always happy to help educate. Great. So by the google definition and likely the Oxford English, this country has a lot of racists. Interestingly, many of these will be from overseas, such as Indian, former Yugoslavian nationals, African nationals, the Middle East. Almost unrelated to the topic on hand which is an easy out, but we do have players and fans from affected regions in our stadiums. They will be kicked out according to the campaign. Why should the fact you're from an 'affected region' permit you to be racist? If anyone in the Mem is racist, they should be kicked out and banned. Nobody is arguing for a 'minority pass' or anything like that.

I sense COVID is just being used nowas a convinent excuse as there's no reason why we can't press on with agreeing a deal for the land and also getting pp, so we're ready to proceed once the pandemic comes to end. Starting to think the FM is another dead stadium plan. I think that's a bit unfair on the club, it's disingenuous to pretend COVID won't have an effect on how the owners of the Fruit Market are viewing their futures; it's entirely believable that they want to see what the hospitality industry is going to look like post-lockdown before making any decisions.

Agreed. Forgot to mention that the bottom 2/3 floors also has a small shopping mall. This cost also includes underground parking too. But I think that's for the residents I keep saying this, but there are grounds in Europe that have underground parking under the stadium. You just need to dig a bigger hole, build a two platform car park, and what you are doing is utilizing the space you have without the need for expensive land just to park cars ! Aren't Bath rugby doing something similar? Raising the level of the pitch and installing parking below- midweek income and flood protection for them! I'm not sure if flooding would be an issue at the fruit market though.

They could also re-instate the railway line that runs up through Easton, Fishponds etc and is now a cycle track. It should be possible, and would mean connecting at least 100,000 people directly to TM by train. Now, there's a thought! Would love that, could get there in less than 200 steps from my house if they did that far enough. Cyclists wouldn’t love it though Definitely wouldn't happen, I can't remember exactly how many people use it but it's in the thousands per day commuting- there'd be a huge uproar if they got rid of it.

Supporters come from all over the place so location will benefit some but not others. Public transport - whether we like it or not - will be the way forward. Having a stadium very close to a major transport hub in Bristol Temple Meads might keep the nimbys/environmentalists happy. In an ideal world you'd get to 'the fruit bowl' via train from your local station. With weekly/monthly/annual tickets for trains already available someone must liaise with the train operators for a 23 return journey ticket. Or discounted travel on production of match ticket. Sorry, thinking ahead there Ideally we'd make a deal with First where they offer a 23 time return journey card to Rovers fans in return for us pushing a park & ride for fans coming from the north of the city, from UWE for example

Reading that to me it sounds like it was going to be one development, training ground next to stadium. I wonder if that means they don't want to build at the colony, or it just happened that this site could fit both and would mean the colony could be sold.

Why are we always so poor against 10 men?? I don’t understand Think it's an effect of tactics; if you're down to ten men you need to go all out at the start and try and get a goal- but if you hold them off they'll tire much faster which should make it easier for us to get a late goal
