I'm a Gashead of nearly 43 years, I remember Eastville, Twerton etc. Right, I'm divorced and sadly don't see or speak to my son as much as we would like..... Had a phone conversation today, my Son plays and loves his Rugby... He melted my Heart when he said' Dad, I love the Rovers like you do, you bred that into me and I recall watching the Reserve games on a Saturday at the Mem... He is 12, and being far away hurts me but to know he is a Gashead gladdens my heart. I'm just being a softy but that made me weep. I hope you manage to get back on the path with your son.

No it’s Wonderful……..yet another reason to let the train take the strain and make a day of it. On toppers note a few years back on the way to work I watched a roundabout get built, took nearly a year, still can’t quite get my head around that one. Wish i had that option but me and a friend drive on alternate matches , so the other can have a drink. No train from the wood I’m in Frome and a five minute walk from the station, only shame is the trains are often rammed until Bath, quite often painfully, and not as frequent as I’d like, although not that bad value tbf, £13.00 return.

Players who’ve come up from the conference always seem to be a lot more grounded and get the fans. Who else apart from Sincs falls under that category, Taylor certainly didn't? JB's players as a rule seem a lot more grounded, even the loan players. Barry Hayles

But that still doesn't explain why SAG feel the need to reduce ground capacity. They are just a committee advising on ground safety, not an organisation who can issue fines etc. I guess they are working on the basis of less people = higher chance of control. Also it means that the fans who are STH are more likely to be compliant than the pay on the dayers who turn up just to cause a bit of aggro. As a pay on the dayer due to work and child care commitments, I don’t go to cause trouble, my little one might (8)but not me. I think it’s a whole world issue of anger and oppressiveness plus the herd mentality, my mates doing it so I will follow sadly. Until the culprits are dragged out and banned from every ground, pub and club it will continue, but the costs and staffing levels to do this would be astronomical. Society and morals need to change, as people we can’t keep getting worse, we all need to get better.

This is why a new modern stadium is needed now Echo this but after many many years,I suspect it will never happen in my life time. 'We are in touch with 12 World Class leading stadium consultants' we were told. 'Money isn't an issue' said the new chairman Steve Hamer when UWE fell through'.Watertight' his predecessor Nick Higgs said. 'We will be asking fans to choose their seats at Cheltenham whilst we re build the Mem' was another fantasy. You forgot the landing lights, other than that totally agree, it’s a disgrace, no improvements apart from a few tents to the actual ground since we moved in. However there does appear a nice new mural on the toilets wall, hopefully my feet won’t get wet this year in there.

SAG are a bunch of tossers I think the morons that invaded are, not that this will stop them next time.

Matt Gill did Swans post match interview, didn't mention his time at Rovers. Craig Stanley was the better midfielder of the two, but got the most stick.

Perhaps they should cancel games when it’s 0 degrees as the players and fans might get cold, perhaps the authorities could find a way to control the weather and seasons, just control the tempo of the game, play to the conditions. To be fair not many fans are at risk of dying at O degrees, although the weather forecast has been changed and it's now only going to be in the low 20C's come kick off. The panic is over then !

Stop scaremongering, most likely to be 16 degrees and raining. My boys both played today with no issues. Anybody would think it's going to be 10C+ hotter early next week 🤔 Perhaps they should cancel games when it’s 0 degrees as the players and fans might get cold, perhaps the authorities could find a way to control the weather and seasons, just control the tempo of the game, play to the conditions.

It's all gone bananas. Cobra committee met to discuss impending disastrous heatwave. Just listened to a reporter from Liverpool on New Brighton beach where temps have reached a heady 24° and are set to rise to.....wait for it....28° I'm surprised the govt are even letting us outdoors. The worlds gone mad…… it’s a lovely summers day.

With expected temps in quasar of 42c world cup 2022 was changed to start in November when temps are 20c so why are we clubs playing friendlies in thus extreme heat. If Forest Green opening fixture is likely to see temps of 38c should kick off be changed to 8pm Stop scaremongering, most likely to be 16 degrees and raining. My boys both played today with no issues.

The only thing I’d disagree with is sending my eldest to get himself a drink, he has issues, but I try to let him lead as normal a life as possible, losing my debit card is a regular occurrence for him, loosing a few pound coins isn’t and not so much of a hassle if he does. There are some pretty good solutions for you out there: Go Henry Revolut Starling Monzo (if over 16) My kids have Revolut Cards. I have full access to view what it's used for and add funds for them very easily. If they lose the card, I can freeze it straight from my phone and then order another one. I wouldn't give my kids my debit card, it's possibly not legal (even though you have given permission). Cheers, I will take a look into these cards, Do they charge to reissue as a matter of interest? Just his school lunch card has cost me a fortune this year the amount of times it’s got lost.

Is it true or a rumour that David Pipe is returning on a short term contract ? Perhaps the Byron Anthony connection. My sides are splitting.

We cannot be bound by the issues affecting your son. No but last time I sent him to the corner shop they still accepted cash, which is a legal form of paying for goods. Edit, also any large supermarket.
