Here come the Never Barton brigade. Don’t let recruitment and 3 managers (for now!) in one season get in the way of personal grievances tho I'm not anti Barton, but I am starting to question game management. We have been the better team in several games recently, the opposition change something and come into the game and we don't seem to be able to cope or respond. Thinking Charlton, Wigan, Wimbledon and tonight. Obviously a lack of squad depth doesn't help but it almost feels like a tactical issue. On the upside as least we're the better team for some of the 90 minutes now, that's an improvement!

FWIW, and I know it probably isn't much comfort, but the bookies fancy our chances. We're still the longest to go down, out of the six. They really don't fancy Rochdale's chances of survival?! I think Relegation is inevitable given the seriously poor squad of players assembled by Garner and Widdrington.... Both of whom are still being paid by the Club. We as a club deserve what we end up with given the gross transfer negligence that took place - sadly the fans just have to lump it. Last night confirmed to me that we simply are not good enough - and have come up short way too many times against very poor opposition over and over this season. Our away form is shambolic and when you throw in how many games we have rolled over in at home and lost we deserve to go down. I sense JB whilst fighting for every point knows deep down we ain't good enough - the quality on the bench last night was woeful - JB bringing Little on had me lost for words. Two things hurt the most - Firstly when it happens, that amazing day against Dagenham will have been a waste of effort. Secondly explaining to my Loyal Gashead Son, that what happens on the pitch by these less than able lot, MUST NOT affect his day to day life emotions as I sense it is really getting to him. Too many basic errors, too many carefree lacklustre performances at an awful time in our lives when we all needed these players to give so much more. Inevitable: certain to happen and unable to be avoided or prevented. We're not even in the relegation zone. We are three quarters of the way through the season and there are five teams worse than us. How is relegation inevitable? You accuse the players of rolling over - it sounds very much like you are rolling over to me. Perhaps your son would benefit from a bit of fighting spirit, and general positivity, from his parent?

Haha this isn't court. Charlton were much better in the second half, and we looked tactically inferior. Perhaps being under enough pressure a mistake is inevitable? A poor decision from a player that has been out of form for a while now and made other individual mistakes. What about other players that didn't play well? Or do they get away scot-free because they didn't make THE mistake. I don't think we're going to agree. I just think an expectation that if Alfie hadn't made that mistake we would have been ok is naive and doesn't look at the wider issues.

No it would have been 2 all and Charlton would have continued to be completely on top until they did score (from enforced error or otherwise). Blaming one individual error when we we being completely dominated is unfair, and not the real cause of our defeat. Supposition. The fact is we lost by one goal which was an individual mistake. And all would have been rosy is Kilgour didn't make that mistake, I assume? We wouldn't have have been 3-2 down from a nothing situation. Not sure it did. We were not good enough in that second half, they were completely dominant and looked very likely to score even before Alfie's mistake. Blaming one person papers over the wider issue I'm sure it did. We lost 3-2 and their 3rd goal was from an individual mistake. And all would have been rosy is Kilgour didn't make that mistake, I assume?

Schoolboy individual error has cost us again. Not sure it did. We were not good enough in that second half, they were completely dominant and looked very likely to score even before Alfie's mistake. Blaming one person papers over the wider issue

McCormick has been very poor. Can't believe he's still on. He's not himself

We do that but on YouTube. And anything over and above that is better invested in our playing squad. Do we? And that depends on whether improved coverage would increase subscriptions (and revenue) by more than the additional cost. I'm sure there are plenty of people, myself included, that think £10 is a lot for what we currently get. The additional extras would help to justify the cost.

Oztumer played for the development squad again today, can only assume it’s to gain fitness?? Would like to see what he can do under Barton Yeah I imagine it is to get minutes into those that aren't starting. Not just Oz; Little, Hare, Tutonda, Daly all played. Something quite satisfying about seeing that sort of strength having to play development games because they can't get into the starting 11.

Question my loyalty, whatever I frankly don’t care, but I won’t be attending whilst Barton is in charge (If he remains in charge past the summer) I’ll watch on Ifollow instead like this season. Very disappointed that the club should choose to appoint such a deplorable person. 🤡🤡🤡 Surely people can see why others wouldn't want Barton? Even if they don't agree, surely you can understand and respect that. Not comfortable with some of the comments on here lately. Feels like Trumpism

Whilst I have reservations about Joey's character and image, I will get behind him and hope he makes a success of it. All the best Joey! Sums it up for me. Think he'll do well for us on the pitch, and I'm quite excited about that. Just really hope that nothing goes wrong off of it.

Why do some Barton supporters seem to be like Trump supporters? They'll defend their man against anything, no matter how indefensible, and attack anyone that is opposed to him.
I would have taken Barton but it would have been with serious reservations. I'd be much happier with Stendel.

Are you Joey's agent by any chance? Most people have their preferred options, but you almost seem to have become partisan around his appointment. Really ? I don’t see that in his posts No? Maybe just me then. Just seems to be attacking all other options, arguing against those that have reservations on Barton and sharing lots of pro-Barton articles etc. FWIW, if I had to pick right now, I'd take Barton. Albeit I share some reservations that I think many do.
