Personally I would prefer Mansell over Barton I think one is more grown up than the other.

I always felt there was a player in Jonah but that he needed to be more ruthless in critical. moments. Yesterday those finishes were magnificent. I imagine right now the Portsmouth defenders are glad they don't face him every week, because last night he well and truly spanked their backsides.

Since Ben Garner left there has been two dreadful mistakes. 1) Not signing a quality striker in January 2) Not starting games with two strikers To the manager - You are blowing it buddy

For the rest of the season I am only going to watch the games when two strikers start. Tonight it is just just one striker and five defenders starting, so that is a NO from me.

A decent effort today not great but a definite improvement on what happened earlier in the week. I think Daly can have an impact on the remainder of the season.

I respect Max for hus letter. I also think a statement should come from the CEO as to what the club leadership was doing during the January transfer window.

Has anyone from the club explained why we didn't sign a striker. I know no one will attempt to put positive spin on yesterday's result

With reference to the link below regarding the Paul Tisdale rant. I am not sure if our manager gets it, his formation is largely responsible for the recent poor results. On the club site only 3 strikers are listed, start each match with two of them, also start each match with four defenders because five seems to cause confusion at set pieces when they mark each other and not the opposition. Use SN (excellent player) as a winger. www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leahy-discusses-tisdales-rant-calls-4954771 I hope Sam Frost in future articles gives the Rovers leadership hell for failing to sign a fourth striker

A very dissapointing day, the club's leadership need to understand tht the fans feel very let down.

Negligent and a dereliction of duty by all involved. So disheartened and disillusioned. P1ss take. If no one arrives then this will have been a truely pathetic effort by the club, the need for a quality striker has been obvious for some time (beginning of the season in fact)

Several rumours on social media that we are his destination. Would be a good signing imo. One goal in 17 games. Would certainly fit the bill Is that a continuation of our youth policy

Well the manager does'nt think we'll be bringing any new faces in by tuesday. An immeadiate attitude change is needed at the highest levels within the club, we have had the whole January window, and managed only to bring in a right back. It is obvious to everyone we needed a striker. As for match day performances 4-4-2 is likely to bring more success than a formation that has 5 defenders and only one formal striker.

From what we’ve seen of Daly, he looks a far more clinical finisher than Hanlan to me. And Ayunga is probably 4th choice striker option when all are available. I don’t think any fan would want a season-defining chance to fall to their 4th choice striker, so I’m not sure what that proves. Daly scored 4 goals in 8 starts this season in league 1. He played out wide, in a games as well. When he’s fit, if we play the formation we played against Peterborough, I would like to see him start over Hanlon. Think he would score goals with Oz and Nicholson up with him. Hanlon has scored 6 league one goals from 21 games. If you take off the 2 penalties, he has scored the same as Daly. So not sure why we would worry if Daly had to play instead. I still want another striker, to cover injuries etc. But I wouldn’t worry about having to put Daly in. I probably would anyway. I think the main reason why we do not score many goals is because for many games we play only one striker

Now that would be a good signing he is quick, switches feet, can see a pass, and can most certainly finish Can't see him coming here though.

Sam Frost has reported that the deadline for Charlton being able to recall OZ has now past. He is now definately here until end of season and possibly beyond. Lets hope he loves it here cuz its a gamble to 'hope' he signs in the summer in my opinion Offer OZ a contract right now. As for the signing of a last minute striker, well that is how we got RL and JCH, and look how that turned out.
