Merry New Year Gas, wherever you are...
Kinda mixed on this one. Obviously want us to win every match. Hope we do today.
...but, Cheltenham is an easy trip and it's an away day to look forward to for convenience and cheapness.
I hope they survive the division, as do us, so I'll plump for a physical hard earned 1-0 win.
I wonder if Barton tactics has been sussed out? 🤔

Belshaw 4 haha the irony of being scored by the amount of mistakes you've made! Keep chin up, lad..
Hoole 5 poor outing. Thomas 6 some decent play. Gibson 7 best of defence. Gordon 5 inside and back.
Coutts 5 rabbit. Finley 5 headlights. Evans 4 mix bag atm atosis.
Collins 9 m o m almost perfect. Coburn 8 brilliant. Loft 6.5 nice to see back and great running just not quite your night.
Subs: Connolly 4 should have stayed put. Anderson 7 harry running is a joy to watch welcome back! Sinclair 8 made the difference with goal and assist. Marquis 6 had a chance 1 on 1 to wrap it up.
Ref 4 poor and booked far too many Exeter players. Got a lot wrong. Exeter 8 best team I've seen at Mem. Very well organised off the ball. Defence stubborn and Blackman made some saves Packed the mid and easily won that battle. Some nice finishing and still missed some sitters.
Genuine wonder how they manage to continue to eclipse us as a club when we have double their attendances, corporate sponsorships, hospitalities and resources?

No cash options at Mem (until it suits them). Cheaper. You get a glass in some establishments. You build a rapore with some bar staff and landlords that actually welcome you back because they recognise you so feel custom is sometimes appreciated. More options of beverage. The bounty of the Gloucester Road, my man....it never lets you down 👍 This is quite an interesting comment. Could this ever be delivered inside a football ground? The pub at Wrexham seem to deliver is but I'm not sure if they are part of the ground or just a pub outside. Cash options have been available for over 100 years at the club in various guises up until now, I don't think any of our lot want to write a cheque (apologies for those whom don't know what I'm wittering on about!) so yes. Kinda keeping staff (especially pre TG era) would add to rapore and familiarity, but agency staff make this nigh on impossible because of rotation, but it could be done, so yes That would actually go hand in hand with the feeling of being appreciated (instead of just being presented with a pay point to show your card with no one telling you how much you are paying!....this happened in Thatchers bar to friends last season), so yes. Cheaper sounds difficult. Anyone remember the happy hour club used to do in clubhouse? A few seasons back? I do, just one option can be implemented, so yes. But I do take your point. Far easier to take a different option. Hence the free market solution on the Road!👍

Just got back .. Went in the rain, got back in the rain. What a great evenings entertainment! You pay your money and there can't be anyone whom left the Mem unsatisfied their monies hadn't given them a spectacle of mistakes, sheer wonder, good football, in parts a great atmo and a match that both teams wanted to win - and could've. It kinda summed up our 2022, only this time we fell foul of shooting ourselves in the foot and it didn't end kindly. My m o m Aaza that quite literally could have had a hat trick and still ended up on losing side. It's all been said before, but I'd just like to add he plays his football with such aloof he makes it look easy at times. He's got goals and set ups coming out of his assists.. Obvious elephant hero to zero was our Keeps....but everyone knows that and I'm gonna swim against the tide and stick up for him last night. His credit put into the club far outweighs his debit by mistakes. The defence in front of him was more rickety than Shaun Ricketts or any affliction of the high seas in Napoleonic times. The planets were in alignment, unless you're a flat Earther...you'd be talking Earther Kitt.. www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-64082159#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16723823127763&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.com%2Fnews%2Fscience-environment-64082159 (thanks to my old school mate chum there, Dr Robert Massey, whom I shared brief debut working jobs with, and both discovered the fruits of life as a growing teenager circa 1984/5 discovering the perils of alcohol and girls at a few southmead parties in the same era ... The girls were more perilous, I can tell thee!) I digress.. His enthusiasm to make amends, cause effect was his downfall. I'm sorry for him that I felt he was partially or fully responsible for all the goals conceded last night, but before the ball got anywhere near him, we had made mistakes leading up to that scenario. I'll not knock anyone for trying, on the night we lacked quality and mostly made the wrong decision when it came to the last ball (that was usually pumped up to the two big ones). Lofty, nice to see you back...worked hard, put in a shift, not his night. Scott Sinclair input being played in his more familiar role had immediate impact! Who'd have thought it? Goal and assist!? He's not a wb. Coutts tried but seems to have lost half a yard of pace. Gibson top of the defence for me. A couple of stray passes to fit in with his teammates, but otherwise solid. Connolly why didn't he start? We could see when he came on....first 3 passes hospital balls and no where near his man for their equalising 3rd goal. Gordon just fails at the last hurdle for me. Willing him to go on. Willing him to go past his man. Willing him to do well...he does in inside and back is your thing. Hoole, not your night me ole mate but there'll be many others to shine in. Finley. For me desperate misses his mate Leonard Rossiter. What an injury in what an inane competition to befall him? Finley form mightily affected, plus losing captaincy too means for me he hasn't hit the heights of pre Ross form. I thought Exeter were one of the best teams I've seen at nullifying us this season at Mem. They held their shape off the ball in a disciplined manner, well organised and soaked up 5 or 6 bookings and us taking the lead didn't phase them. Fair play, on the night they shaded the rights to a win, and missed a few sitters themselves, and hit the bar on an offside that wasn't given. And, in the spirit of school boy football next goal wins, they did. JAB got the starting line up wrong and made effective change in second that nearly stole the show. Exeter were quick to react and held their nerve. It was an interesting encounter and almost worked but well done everyone including an infuriating ref for delivering a night of exhilaration and (at times) seasonal pantomime show.. Well, you've had science and nature wrapped up with a bit of history and nostalgia with a touch of showbiz and weather! What more would you like? Merry New Year, Gas..... wherever you are.

The bounty of the Gloucester Road, my man....it never lets you down 👍 Fair enough. I would start at you for not spending at the Mem but if it works for you and you enjoy it, end of story. There tonight? I am, and have been for many years now. I've been marginalised from spending at the Mem as cash is my heavily much preferred choice of transaction. I am in a group of like minded individuals, one of whom isn't even on forums or social media and uses cash because he is just used to limiting his spending. He's had issues with that sort of thing contributing to his past mental health issues. He's been marginalised too. We all go out own merry little way, whatever works for you, so am more than happy to reconnect with the Road's finest! Onwards and upwards!

I'm surprised DC hasn't chased his star signing since he left us..? He did after all, play him exhaustingly just before departing.

Unbelievably they are blaming the midget on one turd for their continued demise. Hopefully Pearson will take them down this season to put them out their misery On twitter they’re blaming the Man who has propped them up for years with his billions, rebuilt them a stadium and a state of the art training facility. Genuine question, is there a more self-entitled, arrogant and delusional fan base in the country? They've actually had 2 ...one post 82 and one pre with Harry Dolman. The sense of entitlement runs rife down there. It always reminded me of the spoilt little rich kid at school whom had everything but still moaned... SL will take a step back one day. As will his son. Then reality will bite.

Officiating poor?
Well it didn't receive much criticism if not acknowledgement here when we were 1-0 up to a suspected offside goal?
Can it be we only ever really moan at officials when we don't win?

Just got back from ifollow..
I like the dark arts as much as the next dark arts appreciating person but JM theatrical diving and us going down regularly unnecessary contributed to them timewasting and having a right royal laugh at their own keeper apparently going down every match 86 mins for injury break!? Both teams were taking the p!ss. Trying to get players booked ain't my cup of tea either.
We got drawn in and weren't good enough to break them down.
Percentage might have been in favour, and we did dominate in spells, but I don't think we done enough to test their Keep for a win today.
Workrate was high and we got off to a wonderful start...that looked offside on tv...but slowly, they got back into it.
No surprise both goals were conceded coming from our right hand side, not saying Hoole was at fault, just not as much support there.
I thought Evans offered little again. Sincs failed to deliver, even though he played in a more familiar role.
Collins evergreen another assist if he doesn't score... what an essential role he plays.
We were sometimes scrappy in possession and trying to win the first ball. They were physical and wily enough to grind out a result, then nullify any threat... unspectacular and no complaints.
Well done 1200 Gas but the Wycombe hoodoo continues...

Strange how we a pinned our hopes onto one player as ayunga turkish messi ehmer little westbrook and a few others couldn't help us... When your left back is top goalscorer, you know you got problems.
LM didn't deliver the quantity of goals either.
For 25 odd years Wycombe have been our nemesis, with Joe Jacobson scoring against us too, so probably Hanlon will score a worldie today. That's just the way it goes..
