No official confirmation... is this a massive wind-up?? looks genuine, bcfc official tweet, then it came off (someone put it up before the press release was ready perhaps). The teds are revolting over on otib; but to be fair they are revolting all day, everyday. Reported in the Bristol Post now.... rumour must be false then!

Sorry to be thick but is this game on sky? No it isn't. It was moved to a Sunday KO because Oxford are playing a JPT cup game tonight.

I'm really pleased about this happening this week in time for the Oxford Utd game. This had the potential to drag on for all of January. Looks like Rory making his true feelings known in the Irish Sun article played a part in accelerating the process. Well done lad and welcome aboard (permanently)! - UtG.

Luton for me... Evening game. Injury time winner from The Beard right in front of the Gasheads. Brilliant!

Pathetic card display - either do it properly or not at all. In China you would all be shot.
(For OTIB readers - I think "Cotts" is doing a great job, he doesn't look out of his depth at all.)

What a waste of money, and it's not even correct as there will be a couple of Welsh teams in the English Football League unless they expel Cardiff City and Newport County.

The club weren't granted permission by Cambridge's Safety Officer, I'm told. Real shame because I would have loved to see Matty's again but naught you can do if some daft bloke in a high vis jacket says its "unsafe". A static camera behind the goal is deemed unsafe but a photographer on a stool to the side of the goal with a large camera is OK? Health and Safety gone illogical! PS. Well done to the 562 away Gasheads who made the trip. An excellent turn out at a place that's hard to get to on a Friday evening.

Ask Barry if he remembers scoring this vital goal against Brentford in 1998 that got the Gas into the play-offs. I was in the Blackthorn End (no roof then) - it was a great header that sent us all wild... Thanks Barry!

As somebody who began supporting Rovers when they were playing in plain blue shirts I really don't see the quarters as part of our identity as long as we play in blue. I do think that sticking rigidly to the quartered shirts probably makes it difficult on a marketing basis. I remember the all blue shirts - absolutely hated them as they made us just like a lot of other teams. I still don't understand what made the club jettison the famous blue and white quarters for a few years. I think the quarters were reintroduced as a result of supporters' dislike of the plain blue and wanting to go back to the traditional Rovers' kit. UtG

For what's it worth, whilst I don't expect Shamesbury's to roll over and pay up immediately, I nevertheless expect us to win the appeal. Unfortunately we will have to wait until then as the value the club will increase by up to 30 million. It's understandable Nick is keeping his head down until the true value of the club is established. Then iam sure the takeover will finally take place and this great underachieving club of ours will finally get its chance. For the time being let's get on with the football side of things which if Tuesday's performance becomes the norm league one is definately on. For once lets smell the coffee! On what gounds do you expect us to win?? Given even somebody with a good legal background seems to think we haven't a hope? www.blakemorgan.co.uk/news-events/blog/2015/08/04/bristol-rovers-shown-limits-good-faith/As the other poster says what happens if the consortium won't wait another 6+ months, and even if we win does anyboyd really expect Sainsbury's won't seek a final appeal and delay matters another 12+ months? Thanks for that Blake Morgan link - it's the first time I've seen the reasoning behind the judge's decision. Also shows that the activities of Trash/Greens had a major impact at a crucial time in the process. Doesn't look good for the appeal...

Played this on a nine-hole course twice on holiday this year in Norfolk. Great fun first time round when the wind wasn't blowing, complete nightmare the second time we played as the wind was strong and the balls just rolled off the raised greens and away down the slope. My score for the last 2 holes were: 8th hole: 18 shots 9th hole: Hole in one! (56 yards)

Great goal Jake! Just the sort of skill the Gas need to unlock those Lge 2 defences.

I bet I make more than you given I don't live in Bristol so keep fishing. Only person obsessed is you and your inability not to comment on absolutely everything and contribute absolutely zilch. We are used to it and the fact you bite so quickly is testament to your inability to comprehend that most of us just laugh at you now. It's like being back at primary school... "I go to more games than you..." "No, I go to more games..." "You're obsessed..." "No, you're obsessed..." "No, you're more obsessed..."Quality "infanta banta" - keep up the good work!

Luton 6 Sometimes the performance of a team is governed by how their opponents play and last nights game was one where this was clearly seen. Our team were fitter than Luton and this was visible in the last half hour where we got stronger and stronger. Benson and McKail Smith are capable of causing defences problems but last night our defence had them both in their pockets. Their midfield which again is strong generally was worn down the longer the game went on. Last Saturday we beat a poor team, last night we deservedly beat a significantly better side. Completely agree with this. I've seen a couple of reports from the Luton perspective where they don't understand why Luton were poor. They were poor because Rovers never let them settle on the ball - the entire Rovers team's workrate was fantastic last night. A great team effort. Happy Days and UtG!
