I'm quite surprised by this censorship. It's amazingly hypocritical considering the amount of flack the old official forum got for manipulating threads that didn't toe the party line. The serious forum can't be taken seriously anymore. And there has never been such a thing on here, right? Is that the best you can come up with in your defence of the censorship on the other forum?

Monkhouse has joined some Benedictine monks for a week of spiritual comtemplation - he's changed his name from Andy Monkhouse to Andy Monastery.

Home League Average was 6630 Away Gas League ave was 878 Not bad for a non-league side... How does that compare with our last 5 seasons (in Lge 2 and Lge 1)?

Fanastic achievement by AFC Bournemouth... Starting in Lge 2 with a 17 point deduction 7 years ago they have made it to the Premiership. Their supporters must be in dreamland.
But it proves that small clubs can achieve great things - there is hope for all of us lower league 'minnows'. Long live the football pyramid and the eternal optimism of the fans!

Flagellation for me! I caught a couple of the early away defeats at Barnet and Braintree, and was at the 3 home defeats. I prefer to think about the many victories witnessed this season.

What are the chances of getting in with the home fans? I am in the midlands over the weekend and never thought we would sell out. Want to be there even more now we have. It's all ticket for the home fans too - see here. But you still have time to buy a ticket for the home end before Monday. See you there!

Your bias against Chris Lines is clouding your judgement. At this level every team is packed with battlers getting stuck in - what Rovers have been crying out for all season in some creativity in midfield. Chris Lines has the potential to provide this creativity and I'm sure that Darrell Clarke (who thankfully does have an unbiased view) will continue to pick him for the starting line up. Absolute tosh.
Lines is not a creative midfielder, never has been and never will be. He created diddly when he was with us last time and if he can't create at this level what hope has he got.
He is not a fighter and you need fighters at this level.
Just look at the number of goal assists over the years. For someone who is supposedly creative is record is shocking
Laughable that you accuse me of writing tosh when I say that Chris Lines has the potential to solve the midfield creativity problem. Take those anti-CL glasses off, they are restricting the flow of blood to your brain! Chris Lines played almost every game for Sheff Weds in their promotion season from Lge 1, and they didn't sign him for his tackling skills. I hope he does play a part in getting the Gas out of the Conference. I get the impression that you hope he fails so you can come on here and slag him off.

lines did a lot more than lockyer did in midfield , his set plays were good and wasn't afraid to get on the ball despite the team as a whole playing poorly . I feel its a waste of time defending his ability to you having read your previous posts about the player, I just hope he plays well enough over the next five games to convince you of his worth to the team. You can't defend him.
He should be better than Lockyer, Lockyer is a bloody right back. For a guy who has come from a League 1 club you would not only expect him to control his teams midfield but the whole of the midfield in general. He has never done this, not at any club he has been at.
He is a luxury player and anyone with an unbiased opinion would see that.
Did you see him get stuck into any midfield tackles. Simple question for you then you can tell me I am wrong. Why is it that the Macclesfield team seemed to find plenty of time on the ball in midfield and we didn't at any point.

I think what Mark is trying to say is that things that haven't happened are always interesting, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know. And you can't argue with that. Is schroeder's cat involved here ? Minor correction here... Schroeder is Charlie Brown's friend in Peanuts. Erwin Schroedinger is the one who had the cat that was simultaneously both dead and alive.

Thanks for the write-up Steve. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this as car problems meant I couldn't get to this game.
Good to hear that Parkes had another excellent game - I've always rated him even when he had some shaky moments earlier in the season. I like the fact that he has the confidence to try and bring the ball out from defence and make a pass to feet rather than lump it into the opponents' half.
Best defence in the league at the moment, so take a well deserved bow the 5 defenders who have contributed to that: Parkes, Lockyer, Brown and McCrystal/Trotter.
