Port Vale manager:
“I just thought it was good business sense to get the full wages recovered from Bristol Rovers and get Tommy O’Sullivan in. He has just as much quality but cost far less from a wages point of view.”
Looks like we may be forking out a tidy sum, understandable as it may be given our current position. I would hope we don't go back to our overspending ways after this season, whatever division we are in. We get big enough crowds to budget to breakeven rather than irresponsibly.

11,916 is the grounds football capacity, due to segregation. In that case we could be over that as there'll be only a small segregation in the tent 200 seats :s

Where do people listen to commentary on their phone? The Rovers app stopped being useful for that a long time ago.

Quite like Grimsby as a football club and hope you make it back up asap, as long as it's not at our expense.

Check the slowmo at the end. Definately a foul on the keeper, can't really blame him for being shoved over.. some may say he should of been stronger or whatever, but I'm ready to eat some humble pie on this one.

To be fair to the previous Managers none of them were Managing us in the Conference so you can't really compare them at the moment. If we go up then the end of next season will be a fairer time to compare the Managers. In a way I disagree, you can tell that Clarke has built a well balanced side that work hard for each other regardless of division. Something that Ward , Buckle MM etc didn't do. In that respect DC has succeeded. League two... higher budget, 4 promotion spots. And still most of them left us in the bottom 2/3/4/5

Also...which ground do they send the trophy to? Apparently they have a second one, just in case...

That's the disappointing thing isn't it Steve ? Apparently we had only six shots with one on target in a game we HAD TO win ! A 1 nil can end in a draw from a mistake or a great shot as we found to our costs SO BADLY. Dover are not an easy team to crack. Grimsby were given a hell of a game down there not long ago and luck was on their side that they kept Dover out.

Praise the Lord! Totally agree. After the first few games we would all have killed to be in this position at the end of the season. We are all in this together and as supporters we need to make sure that we do as much as we can on Saturday to make the mem a cauldren of positivity. The fans have been immense this year,we just need one last push. Watching match of the day last night I was struck by the atmosphere at the Leicester stadium. It seemed to massively spur on their team. Come on Gas,we can do it. Only problem is that Leicester's plight is in their own hands, ours isn't. The playoffs are

1 loss in 28 bodes well for 3 playoff games, if needed.

The title of this thread is spot on. The clueless one took us out of the Football League. Every other manager on the history of our wonderful club, failed to do so. You are quite the depressive stain on everyones day

The man is a genius at finding quality players as signatures or loans for little money, that alone makes him a cut above the rest of the wasters we have had recently I know some have been hit and miss, but what a fantastic couple of loan signings in Dawson and Della-Verde, can't be easy to find that much skill and trickery down the wings on loan. Trotman came in and did a fantastic job when everyone was looking forward to Turley, and Cunnington did a job when needed.
