Nicholls 6 an ok game with one dodgy moment, needs to work on his kicking though Leadbitter 8 another good performance, his defending improves with every game Lockyer 7.5 Mr Reliable McChrystal 8.5 a captains performance Brown 7 good going forward well, defended well Bodin 6.5 did ok but clearly not fit Mansell 9 M.o.M grafted superby, set a great example, him and Macca lead by example Sinclair 7.5 the usual high tempo game from our action man Gosling.7.5 shows a lot of quality, he just needs to improve his final ball and then he'll be a genuine first choice player Taylor 7 did well, shoulnt have been subbed Harrison 6.5 he wont like me saying it but at the moment he's a better impact sub, he's better at running at tired defences Subs: Easter 7 he should always start, oozes quality Montano 6 a bit-part player, doesnt get enough game time to convince me Blissett 5 not good enough, sadly as he has the height and pace we need. Crowd 7 a good turn out Ref 7 a decent ref, who's biggest error war putting the wrong shirt on. Notts County 7 a good side, I'd like their no.33 in our squad

Swindon have a history of making 'big name' appointment eg Hoddle,Ardiles,DiCannio etc so it really wouldn't surprise me if they tried to tempt Holloway, Clarke is too small a fish for them.

Nicholls 8 I am (or was) a bit undecided in Nicholls but last night he looked the real deal Leadbitter 7 a good game, looks fitter than the Pompey game Parkes 7 his best game this season McChrystal 7.5 steady and reliable Brown 7 a good game in his proper left back role Bodin 8.5 M.o.M he gets better and better Lines 7 decent game, did little wrong Sinclair 8 action man covered every blade of grass Montano 7 adds balance to the team Taylor 8 his confidence is sky high and it shows Easter 7.5 showed quality, tired towards the end but getting fitter Subs: O. Clarke 6 didnt do much Blissett not on long enough Crowd 7 decent turn out Ref 6 missed plenty, barely average Wycombe 7.5 looked a good side

I p1ssed off my city neighbour earlier by saying, " all square then in the battle of the franchises.".. you should of seen his face. I,m very tempted to use that classic in my local watering hole tomorrow, there are a few sh*theads that frequent it but in all honesty i dont think many if any will understand the word franchise!!!

Nicholls 6 ok,no more Leadbitter 6 looked a bit ring rusty but its good to have him back Lockyer 7 M.o.M solid, Parkes 5 a below par game, seems low on confidence Brown 5.5 not a wing back J.Clarke 5 his worst game Sinclair 6 lots of effort, little end product Lines 6.5 he has quality,he needs to get forward more O Clarke 4.5 annonymous Harrison 5 he had little service, looked disinterested Easter 6 a goal and so nearly two goals, he has quality but like Lines needs to show it more often
Bodin 6.5 two good feet, not sure what position he should play but put himself about Gosling 5 did little, just a squad player Taylor 4 not his day, maybe the Conference is his true level
Crowd 6 all these home defeats have taken their toll Ref 7.5 I wish all the refs were as good Pompey 8 a good confident side, comfortable on the ball.if the continue like this they'll be promoted

I did a lot of business with GCCC in the '90s and had regular contact with Colin Sextone. He is imho a very decent guy, He knew I was a Gashead but was always respectful and seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. I liked him,he struck me as a clever, self motivated guy and I'm sure he will bring plenty of good assets to the club. The fact that he has been previously connected with the dark side shouldnt be a stick to beat him with, after all we have a City legend,Alan Walsh, doing a great job at youth level.

Chapman 6 the superb defence meant a quiet game for him Leadbitter 8 superb in the short time he was on Brown 8.5 getting fitter and better Clarke J 8.5 what a find! Parkes 8.5 solid as a rock Lockyer 9 M.o.M. didnt give Akine a sniff Sinclair 8 looks like he'll be wing back for a while,am i bovvered!!! Duracell can play anywhere! Olly Clarke 9 best game in a Rovers shirt! Lines 8 more like the Lines we know. Easter 8 adds quality and composure to the front line Harrison 7 got whacked and struggled a bit afterwards
Gosling 7 did ok and quickly settled in Taylor 7.5 took his goal well and showed some nice touches Bodin 6 not really on long enough but useful to have and looked up for it' DC 9 got it spot on again Ref.6 a mix of lenient and fussy Barnet 5 second best all over the pitch

Chapman 7 fitted in well, bags of confidence. Leaddbitter 8 gets better and better lockyer 7.5 steady game in his proper position Clarke J 8.5 settled into league football effortlessly Parkes 7.5 steady game with the occasional marauding run Brown 7 ok but not really a wing back Lines 7 benifitted by having two hard working players in the centre midfield Sinclair 9 M.O.M a human dynamo! Clarke Olly 8 battled well Mansell not missed Taylor 6 average Harrison 8.5 a great game Subs Easter 8 ooused quality Monakana 5 nothing special, i'd rather have Broom Montana 6 did ok Crowd 7 a good turn out Ref 6 ok Yeovil 3 Absolutely dire

Yes I agree, when he joined us last season I had my doubts as apart from pace he looked far from good, defensively vulnerable, poor decision maker and erratic crosser,I couldnt believe DC chose him over Ryan Higgins who had a good preseaon with us, well as usual Clarke was right and Danny is fast become a star man. Btw history could repeat itself with the ever improving James Clarke, he is growing quickly in confidence and has slotted into the team seamlessly.
