I've not been overly impressed by Taylors penalty taking. Even when he scores the keeper usually goes the right way and sometimes get a hand to it. Its a penalty miss waiting to happen, for me I'd give Lines or Mansell the job if neither fancy it then Harrison will!

Dover are a decent team at home, I can't see Grimsby's funding it easy to win at their ground. Macclesfield seem, fingers crossed, to have lost form just at the right time for us. Yes Dover are decent at home, they may well take something from Grimsby, the thing is they may well do the same to us next month. We must focus solely on our last six games, win them and let the rest worry about us.

I'm pretty certain Mildy,Lockyer Parkes Macca,Brown,Clarke,Mansell and Harrison are all here for next season and I would assume Easter and Blisset are too, the rest bar Sinclair are pretty expendable. Our surprising and unexpected league position is mainly down to our defence. obviously the improving Leadbitter would probably be offered a new deal but the nucleus of the team should be intact unless league clubs come sniffing for Parkes which would mean a decent fee.

That article also says we are after a central defender. Does this mean Trotman is off? If he isn't then I would say that is the position we least need to strengthen. We already have McChrystal, Parkes, Trotman and Lockyer there who are easily good enough for this league. Maybe one of our cb's are going elsewhere,Parkes being the obvious target

why would permission only be granted if it was a gk with limited experience??? again another 'quirk' in this league!! this is a far bigger blow now that we 'have' to have a kid in goal for 6 wks or another young gk if he goes bk 1stjan. FFS!! Maybe Puddy will be fit by Jan 1st so that seems acceptable, Keepers get injured,we just have to get on with it!

Mildehall 6 couldnt be faulted wit Barnets goal as the deflection took the ball out of reach Lockyer 6.5 a good steady game Brown 7 very capable performance McChrystal 7.5 the best game he played for a long time, maybe seeing Trotman on the bench kept him on his toes! Parkes 8 Tom is back playing like the player we hoped he'd be when he first signed for us. LDV 7 what a brilliant prospect. Clarke must try and extend his loan,he makes so much difference Mansell 7.5 a true leader, fought for everything Sinclair M.O.M 9 Frankie Prince,Jackie Pitt, Ian Holloway, every team needs a player who just gives it everything, god how I wish we'd had him last season! Monkhouse 7 Probably his best game yet,he has a bit of quality and what a sublime pass to set the first goal up! Blisset 6 work in progress,Barnet obviously thought he was the main dangber and regularly had two men on him. He's more mobile than Brunt and more intelligent than Harrison,I think him and Taylor could work well together. Taylor 8.5 all-round game bar scoring was never in doubt, now he's started scoring he could really become a forse. Subs: Harrison 6. I'm not his biggest fan and I think the bench is as far as his prospects reach. Balanta 6 showed he has class, more to come I think. Goldberg Not on long enough. Ref 5 bog=standard Conference ref' Clarke 7 got it right, again. Barnet 7 A big strong typical Mad Dog side, good but not invincable

Those stats are just astonishing. Hattie Jacques would do better, based on that. Hattie Jaques scores quite regularly I believe!!!

To get us promoted, we still need a pacy, powerful RIGHT winger/forward who will supply chances and chip in with goals. Gosling currently plays there but being left footed wants to come inside - that doesn't give the team balance. What's happened to Monkehouse anyone - when is he back? He's also played in this position but doesn't give us that pace and movement. Not sure what to make of Monkhouse, he's a better option at this time than Gosling but I think/hope there is more to come and he is also left footed. We do really need a natural right winger. From what I've seen of Leadbitter he could be a better option as he's suspect defensively but decent going forward and is right footed with bags of pace.
