He appears very confident in the decisions he makes and has a determination to succeed. However fell over 2x taking clearances and a few iffy balls upfront to nobody. Things to work on but overall excellent so far. This I do agree with him, his distribution is an obvious weakness atm but that’s fine. His job is so stop the ball going into the goal and barring a fluke deflection last Saturday, he’d be at 180 minutes without conceding and two clean sheets to accompany the many brilliant saves. I like us playing with a purpose and building from the back but not the be all end all and Jed will improve his kicking with time. But still way better than Matt Cox's distribution, which was always weak.

Sorry but not happy, we sell Collins and bring in three loan signings until end of season why ? what is the point ? all young players with little or no league experience, they will go back to their clubs and we will have to have yet another reset, which will mean yet another season of adjusting etc etc, loan signings are not the way to build a team for the future, and now desperately short up front, Oh well sure our new owners know what they are doing, Oh to be a Gashead eh !! Remember similar comments when we signed JCH and Elliot Anderson! Who know, maybe a fresh look and high energy will result in a rapid rise up the league. Maybe not, but Azza hasn't really been near his best this season and there was no indication he would have improved in the next three months or so, so I believe selling him was the right choice, although his contribution to the club over the least 3 seasons has been remarkable overall.

I'm going for match postponed - it's filthy weather in Horfield at the moment and not looking like improving. The last time we played in these conditions was against Plymouth in the trophy last season and it wrecked the pitch for the rest of the season! If it's on, then surely the south stand will reach the 75% capacity as I wouldn't want to be on the East Terrace tonight!

Tried and failed to post a picture of my battered 40year old scarf, still worn every game! Guess my profile picture speaks for itself! One of the articles by Bert Tann discussed what effect TV might have on football in the future!

Has anyone from the club stated we need to do test events? Feels like a GasChat fact. Also, no way are 3000 people turning up to watch training at the mem! Maybe they would if there was no fee and it was made clear that this is necessary to get the thing up and running. Then again, I used to watch Rovers reserves at Eastville and we never had those kind of numbers, not even v the 82 reserves We did in the Football Combination - when Stoke reserves including one Stanley Mathews played the crowd was well over 10k and I'm sure it was similar for a game against Spurs reserves. At the time (early 60s so maybe before your time?) we were in the top division of the Football Combination. I think the average reserve crowd was around 4.5k as season tickets were for 1st team and reserve team games back then. The 1st team average early 60s was around 14k from memory.

So is this match defo sold out or are we expecting a release of tickets later today? Hoping for a release of tickets later once the ST holders who didn't get their tickets are sorted out. My brother lives in Manchester and is really keen to come down for the game with his son. I hope the club have some kind of financial penalty against Ticketmaster for this mess-up. Why they put tickets on general sale on Monday evening is beyond comprehension and certainly not what the club requested, since general sale was supposed to start yesterday evening. I get the feeling that all the ticketing sites are inconsistent - I remember when SeeTickets were selling playoff final tickets a few years back and completely messed that process up, now Ticketmaster can't organise an event in a brewery!

There seems to be an inconsistency in applications.
I logged on at 7pm last night, signed in and was directed immediately to my reserved ticket yet others are saying they also logged on to their profile but no reserve ticket was shown. This sounds like a Ticketmaster IT error rather than the club messing up in my opinion. In the absence of proof, the club should not be criticised .... YET. I'm sure Pete Weymouth and TG are already on the case to see where the problem lies then perhaps we can comment on the issue.

How about Maidstone at The Mem - into the 5th round for the first time in years plus the win money and you can bet it would be on TV after they beat Stevenage on Saturday.

I think, due to some nasty history between our clubs I would include Notts County and Wycombe in my list. Cheltenham and Newport only come into my thinking if we're playing against them, certainly not between games.

I would not be surprised if visiting teams do not raise a complaint to the league. Be typical if Charlton did for example as bad sportsmanship. If lights were installed on the facade of the south stand surely that would also solve any light pollution complaints Given Charlton scored at that end I don't think they have cause for complaint. The players have stated they don't even notice the shadow and I certainly don't once the game starts.

Done continously by long shots . Flapped at crosses . Thought he was a sweeper & got caught out . But waved to Thatchets End . No thanks . Player of the year during the promotion season. Yes please. I reckon he'd do a decent job behind a good defence. Happy with Matt Cox as well.

Now showing Mangan and Jennings gone. Whelan, Ventre and all other staff still in place. Kevin Bond not mentioned though - is that because he is part time or has he left too?

When was the last time we had a game postponed for a waterlogged pitch? The last time we SHOULD have had a match called off was the Pizza Cup game v Plymouth last season - we lost and the pitch got completely wrecked for the remainder of the season. No idea why they insisted on playing that evening.

It’s fantastic compared to what was there before. Well if you’re setting your expectations that low then yes it is. Looks pretty decent today and as for the pitch - wow! Nearly December and not a hint of mud to be seen

Latest on the Stand update from club this morning 1) Club hope to have the stand open for Tuesday night , but there are a couple of obstacles with the council that have to be sorted first. 2) The club hope to be able to sell half year season tickets soon for the south stand when the stadium is back up to 100% capacity. So if you want to watch our promotion push from the new south stand and get a half year season ticket to do it with , then keep an eye on the official website. 3) There will be no cladding on the east side of the new stand , this means any away fans , like some of those from Northampton who decided to stand on the away terrace and watch the game looking through the side of the new stand will still be able to do so. Also will be open to allow new east stand to link up. 4) The gap in the seating on the east side of the new stand is to remain, it will be filled when the new east stand extension is completed (subject to planning)so that the seating of the two stands can be integrated. What - thinking ahead and being professional? What will the moaners have to say about that?

Would it matter too much if we didn't have a scoreboard? I managed to follow the games from 1957 until the late 1990s without any scoreboard - can't say it ruined my enjoyment of the games. The only scoreboard at Eastville was the halftime letters thing where you had to buy a programme to see whose scores were under each letter. Proper old fashioned football!
I'm sure there will be a scoreboard somewhere - I quite like the little ones we currently have on the perimeter adverts.
