First game in a while that Harrison hasn't been in the game after coming on. He was picking up the ball so far in our own half and with no one ahead of him we had no outlet. Harrison looked totally disinterested after 5 mins from coming on. Not from where I was standing - he ran for every ball he could and forced what would have been a goal kick out for a throw-in. Agreed he wasn't effective in his 15 minutes but no way was he disinterested.

Ricky miller thought he looked good yesterday may of dived a bit caused us problems . Tricky , direct , also on loan from Luton hit double figures for them last season , could be worth a punt in jan window . Will also hit the ground running come straight in not be waiting for him to get fit ie balanta / white ! I don't think you can form a judgement based on one game - I remember the Shrewsbury winger at Wembley who lots of fans thought would be the best signing we could ever make - and he was never heard of again, just had one good game. Matt Taylor hit double figures last year as well didn't he? My question is who has the better all-round play and it is still Matt Taylor. As for Balanta, let's wait and see what he's about - not his fault he got injured just when he was almost ready for a full game. By January we might all be saying "how did DC manage to sign such a brilliant player" (or "what was he thinking of"). What we have is sufficient for now as far as I'm concerned.

It's a bit mystifying how a "community club" could of paid off debts of £7m in just one, or is it two?, seasons given that our turnover last season will get nowhere near that figure. If Pompey averaged 15,000 gates at £15 per ticket that doesn't give them a turnover anywhere near £7m, so not sure how they generated £7m "profit" after expenses/wages etc to pay off the debts. I think some of the players who were owed money settled for lower amounts - Ashton Gate 8 all over again!

This is something else that the club, in the past have taken no notice whatsoever from the fans on our kit design. Other clubs asked fans for their thoughts but not the Rovers!! I mailed the club two seasons ago about this topic when a lot of people were putting their designs on here and there were some great ideas. The club said they would get back to me but they never did. Even if it has to be a different sponser when we play away why can't it be on our home shirts if there is no need to change and if we have to change, how many times has it been said, and i agree, keep the quarters just change the colours wether it be black and gold or black and green (which i particularly liked) Not quite true - we tried that a few years ago but to many 'teds voted for the worst possible kit we could have (and I think I'm right in saying the same happened to them when they tried online voting for kits and all the Gasheads voted for something horrible.) I always liked the NATO cross 2000-2001 version which had the same design home and away but the away quarters were cream and dark brown from memory - that design was different and catchy. Trouble is, it was our first season in League 2 so the performances are not recalled fondly.

If you pay more can you change what is poured on him ? Assuming you are suggesting something nasty, why is it necessary to make this comment? Of course, if you mean champagne, that's OK but I suspect you mean the contents of your bladder

Yawn .... You spent all that time writing that ...... A couple of hours of your life wasted that you will never get back ..... No need for this - I don't always agree with Buckrippers take on things (prefer him to the other EP blog though) but he has as much right to his comments as I do to mine (even if he sometimes talks bo**ocks)

Already added a Support comment - reminded BCC of the impact on the local economy, new jobs to take people off benefits, massive business rates and the spreading out of deliveries away from peak traffic hours. Mind you, if I lived in Filton Avenue, I suspect I'd be an objector!

Or to ignore "no news" perhaps. If you're referring to the review as opposed to UWE I think everyone has lost interest while things are looking better on the pitch. NH has already done an update on UWE basically sayin no news at all yet but still referring to Sainsbury's as "our partners". Let's go for good news - it's been about 5 years since we had a feel-good thing going on!

No credance whatsoever to any of this, this is a non-story, sorry to disappoint you. In my opinion these conspiracy theories need to stop, they are achieving nothing other than in-fighting. Come On Rovers - Let's keep this run going! I agree with JTS. This is another attempt to discredit the meeting at The Welly in my opinion. The Confidentiality Agreement relates to matters between BRFC and Sainsbury's (and possibly UWE and SGCC) not to suggesting (if it was ever suggested) that alternative plans are being looked at. I think there would be more criticism of the board if alternative plans were NOT being explored. I can see it now "Tony Watola said there was no need for an alternative plan because Sainsbury's didn't pull out until (insert date here)" Start enjoying the football while we're on a good run and forget all the political crap for now!

I think (if rumours are to be believed) that he thought he was too big for Rovers and JW refused to play him. Could, of course, be complete tosh but after a good starting game he disappeared rapidly.

no no and no..... we've nothing to hide and we are ( I would like to believe ) occasionally a valuble source of information.... I don't even like the 'member' tag, I prefer poster or user or contributer.... nothing exclusive.... keep it for all Hey Greg - EVERYTHING is exclusive when you're a Gashead!! Not being exclusive could mean you're a 'ted!! Seriously, I'm not a frequent poster, but prefer to be a member rather than a guest - maybe some people have been scared off by the abuse dished out on the old official forum but I think with things looking up on the pitch people are a bit happier so the abuse levels have dropped. Although I hope humourous abuse can continue.

Hard to reconcile the feelings conveyed by Clarke above, with the generally positive reception the team and manager got before, during and after the game IMO. Could it be that the moaners stayed away last night - you know the "show the board a protest by not turning up" brigade? I stand on the centre line part of the West Enclosure where the moaning and abuse levels are normally huge but last night, other than groans at a few misplaced passes there wasn't a sound of criticism (at least not directed at our players - the referee and linesman came in for loads of stick and rightly so!).

Anyone else notice that DC just sat in the bench tonight? Didn't seem to get up and shout at all and looked quite a lonely figure sat there. Seemed a little odd and sounded downbeat in interview after. Wonder what has been said or happened? What a ridiculous thread - why should the manager be prowling around the technical area - and so what if he doesn't leap around when we score - just like Van Gaal in fact. He has his own style and way of doing things and so long as we play well and do well, who cares? How come we win and still get a subject basically criticising Darrell Clarke?

The BoD should move along a couple of boxes; it looks as if they are "lording it over"/"looking down on" the Blackthorn End. Being up in the boxes is a perfect illustration of the gap that has grown between Board and fans since the return to Bristol. Yes, because of course the directors all stood in the Tote End at Eastville didn't they? (or did they go in the glass box in the South Stand, then move to a new glass enclosure in the North Stand?). At Twerton they went in the stand in a block of reserved seats but there was no capacity there for a directors box. Don't let facts get in the way of the truth. The current board members have FAR MORE interaction with "ordinary" supporters than at any time I remember. As for whether or not DC is the right man for the manager's job, only time will tell. Personally I believe he will do well for the club. Am I pi**ed of with where we are? Of course I am and it's even worse that the 82ers are doing well currently but the constant drip feed of criticism of everything the club/directors/manager/players do is getting incredibly boring and is definitely counter-productive. Wouldn't be so bad if someone had genuine suggestions to improve things (and making it a fan-owned club is not viable) but I have not seen one positive suggestion on any of the forums, just constant moaning.

Alan Shearer talks well - but he was rubbbish when he managed Newcastle. Most of us could probably talk a good game but it doesn't qualify us to be assistant managers of Rovers. Anyway, what's wrong with Marcus in that role?

I've only seen him once, v Coventry and he is very fast for such a short player. I think he will provide the steel that the midfield has been missing for a few years - as they used to say about Norman Hunter "when he tackles you, you stay tackled". Still think he looks about 50 years old, not 26!
