Interesting how the Plymouth Manager, highly regarded on here by several posters has had Timmy Abraham on loan for this season. Obviously does not know he isn't a footballer! That happens all the time, clubs thinking they can get a tune out of a player who isn’t up to it. Look at his appearances at Plymouth, 2 as sub in the league, one start, then a gap to an appearance in the JPT early November, not been seen since. Telling. Borussia Dortmund failed in their attempt to land Fulham’s Timmy Abraham on Deadline Day due to paperwork issues. That’s according to Transfermarkt, who claims that Fulham were too slow to complete all the forms to acquire the younger brother of Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham despite Dortmund doing their part. Dortmund were set to land the player on an initial loan deal with a purchase option that amounted to €2.2m (£2m), planning to integrate him into the U-23s with a goal to get him into the first-team by the end of the season. It’s believed that Dortmund will continue to pursue the player in the January transfer window.

Surely there must be some out of contract strikers around? Absolutely there will be but are we even allowed to bring one in ? If I understand the rules correctly (and I hope I dont) even if we have enough room in the budget we cant change the squad list we've nominated until Jan. I think our only option is to recall one of the youngsters out on loan who are 2 young to qualify for the list. Anyone know if I've got that correct ? We have recalled Philllips from his loan at Chippenham

This defence is a shambles - I am not convinced by Harries, Ehmer or Baldwin if I'm honest. Nor me. Really disappointed so far with Ehmer. Thought he would be our star signing - a younger Tony Craig.

On iFollow stats, we have had 28% possession??
No idea where they got that from.
9 shots, 6 on target.

Would have liked to have seen Mehew play tonight, after his performances in the last two games. But after playing last night, that's highly unlikely. Who did he play for?

Good interview from Tommy W. Really warm to him and reckon he will fire the team up tomorrow - and Saturday if he is still in charge.

Anyone mentioned Gary Penrice? A decent shout from FB, but academy coach again. I would love to see him involved somehow if we can prise him away from Celtic! He is Head of Recruitment not Academy Coach. Been in these roles (Recruitment/Scout) for many years.

Ifs always wondered why he came so late to League football. I recall he was in the Gateshead team when we were in the Conference. Didn't Hurst sign him for Grimsby then take him with him to ashrewsbury? As I recall, he left Grimsby after the playoff final in order to play league football. Presumably noone came in for him as he signed for Gateshead. Went to Newport the following season and then Hurst signed him for Shrews.

Agreed, a poor replacement for Wellens.

Correction - if Chelsea won the penalties after a draw against us they would go through.

So we only need to draw against Chelsea - and can even lose the penalties and still go through!

If Walsall draw but win on pens I assume it will be decided on the result of our game v Walsall, assuming we beat Chelsea? If so, we'll go out as we lost to them on pens, although Walsall winning two games out of 3 on pens is, hopefully, unlikely given the Chelsea game muyst have also gone to pens? As Rod1883 says, if Walsall draw and we win we will have a better goal difference and therefore go through. Just need to beat Chelsea Boys!

I thought we were out of the shitfest cup ? I could well be wrong but I think if we beat Chelsea youth we'll go through as whatever the result of Walsall v Oxford it would guarantee one of them being below us. Yes, that is how I see it.

I reckon that will be televised with BT and the BBC showing 8 games each, will save a few people a tenner. And make us a few quid
