South stand is going to be used this sat ( all being well) , as before with the same capacity as temporary seats . Then they need building regs approval. Then we have to have use it with 50% capacity, then 75% ( test events) . From Tom Gorringe . How difficult would it be for the club to post that statement to all supporters - communication is the real issue here

Regarding the East Stand proposals (as far as we know them) - Last season many people said we should do exactly that after seeing the Carlisle stand 'extensions'. Now it is not good enough. Can't please everyone….

If I recall correctly, when the South Stand proposals were originally announced TG stated that they were aware that the lead times were tight and there was risk it would not be ready "for the start of the season". However, he also stated there were contingency plans should it not prove achievable. Well apart from asking the league to give us away fixtures to start the season (and presumably later asking Barnsley to switch) what happened to those contingency plans?

You will never site a stadium that suits all fans or other parties - but the FM sure beats an out of town bowl at Avonmouth or somewhere similar.

All this moaning about location and transport (without any knowledge of the wider scheme and/or transport changes over the next 5 years). what is the alternative?
Best for car drivers (but no-one else) would be an out of town with car parking - Avonmouth! Best for the Horfield/North Bristol area redevelop Mem - but when this was planned previously the planning permission meant a residents parking zone and part & rides.
There is no magic location that would please all - for me being central Bristol, close to trains & buses etc... the FM is the best we could hope for. As for pubs if thousands of students from Bristol University are also in the general area there will be plenty of venues.
Regardless, the £££'s will determine the project direction.

Luckily I received both the email and a few days later the correct tickets for the first two games. What concerns me though, reading this thread, is the lack of communication from the club on what has happened, what is being done to fix it, and how people can attend these fixtures if they are the unlucky ones caught up in this mess. Yes we received an email (from "Bristol Rovers" but in my opinion clearly written by TM), but many have not - so apart from this platform and social media they have been told nothing as far as I can see. Shocking way to treat your customers. When the fixtures came out and COVID restrictions relaxed I though Saturdays game would be a 10,000 attendance. Now with the poor start on the pitch (although early days) and this shocking ticket fiasco, coupled with poor communication I can see 1000's less than that being there. Why is there not any official comment on the website/platforms from the club with their contingency plan to ensure all that want to attend can do so without undue hassle and disruption? I hope TM are paying the bill!
Bigger concern is however, how many of the affected fans will not come back?

Has the training ground be named yet? I vote, The Quarters. Surely it's got to be "The Gas-Head-Quarters"

Just as important how could the EFL legislate for the impact of losing home advantage. You might have played someone away and lost and then have to play them at home with no crowd, essentially no home advantage like a training game. As with no crowd you may as well call it a friendly. Mind you this is the EFL who allowed 5 or 6 teams to play Bolton's kids and left the rest to play a team strengthened significantly on deadline day.
Seems to me, if crowds are not allowed for health reasons, then they should be postponed not held behind closed doors.

I don't subscribe to the comments that the mem is in the wrong place. Not ideal of course, but hardly in a worse location than AG where they regularly get 20k plus. The mem has much better access to buses but also much more of an anti-development brigade locally (as we know too well as without the delays of the judicial review Sainsburys might even had upheld their end of the "watertight" contract). I think it is about cost as to redevelop whilst still playing there would be a nightmare.

And how many times did his first touch give away possession. I'm not knocking EH but similarly if anyone thinks we can replace him with a perfect striker at league 1 level then you have a surprise coming.......whatever his name and record

Jack Marriott was only 21/22 during that season in L2 and is clearly still improving; Payne is 27 on Friday.
Also, as I keep saying, it's not all about goals. Harrison was strong, powerful and good in the air. He could hold the ball up or travel 50 yards in possession like at Doncaster. He had fantastic work rate, tracked back and headed more set pieces out of our box than both our centre backs. From what I've read on the Shrews forum Payne tocks none of those boxes.
Half of our fans thought Harrison was lazy.

Why slag off the club until we see what is proposed? No one is mentioning the U11 season ticket at £1 a game seated under cover despite all the whinging at the last season ticket launch. BTW the announcement starts with the news of the highest ever level of ST renewals.
It might be crap, it might look rubbish, it might not...... It might be good, it might look good, it might not....... It might be a good structure that even provides some cover for the poor souls who get soaked on the East enclosure whenever it rains.....it might not. It might be the start of other (temporary) ground developments, it might not.....
Point is let's wait and see before we assume the worst. If it turns out that way.....then moan.
That said, again the communication is lacking in detail and another opportunity is missed to enthuse the fan base.

Thansk for the info. Can you advise what the "account number" is on the on-line form?

So the question is.....who would you prefer the club to owe the money to........Dwane or the Wonga mob, which by the way was at 14% plus per yer. I know which I would prefer.

Well if these facts/rumours come from a good source of an ex~director who has the best interests of the club at heart why is said ex~director not voicing these concerns publicly under his own name?
I can only think of a few reasons: 1) they do not have facts themselves and do not want to risk their reputation/standing or legal action 2) they enjoy their seats in box 1 with hospitality too much and are happy for others to stir things up 3) they are unhappy with the takeover &/or its terms and want to stir up discontent 4) any others you guys can think of?
Or; The source is not an ex~director or the facts/rumours are not true or pure speculation
Having said that, something is not right in my opinion, based upon the following facts
It takes 18 months, a few false landing messages from our chairman and a (positive?) feasibility study to decide the UWE deal is not viable; The Mem which was not viable suddenly becomes viable although no plans or ideas have been released; The colony apparently has been delayed due to a tax issue. Really what unforseen tax issue takes several months to resolve and stops planning being applied for?
Well, I for one am confused........

If talking about the UWE is not out of bounds then why wasn't a similar statement made by SH in his Xmas message to the fans. Maybe there has been some positive (or negative) movement in recent days?

Interesting that the "joint statement" has even appeared on the OS. Seems to me thye had hoped to agree, made noises about an announcement but then final agreement couldn't be reached. Given expectations of an positive announcement has been raised they had to say something so the 'we are still talking' release was made. Disappointed but worth the wait if we end up with the right deal for all parties. I meant to say NOT even appeared on the OS

Am I missing something? No postings at all on the AGM on this or IF, just John Kayes saying how good the newpeople come across. So nothing of note happened - strange........
