What a save. Stood his ground and waited for the striker to decide. Impressive. Clean sheet would be confidence boosting. If we end up picking up points this afternoon it will be down to that save. Really good goalkeeping that. Took the words right out of my mouth there - I think Jedward is not going to give up that No.1 spot without a hell of a fight!

Thought we didn't have any money🤣🤣 Didn’t someone recently say “* Wael, he’s sold us down the river with the new lot” 🤣oops Yeah so, what of of it? I’m entitled to my opinion.🤬 (You were bang on about the burgers from the East Terrace vendors, by the way. Thanks for the heads-up on that one).

I sit somewhere in between... I don't mind selling collins. I don't mind signing kids. I don't mind loan signings. I don't mind letting some leave. My problem is with strategy and execution. No one will convince me the strategy was to luck out in the final hour of the window. I hope (and think) we might have. There's no way to connect the dots to understand the plan. I don't blame taylor, I'm quite fond of him. The board come across as too reactive, moving on the fly. I think they've done well with backs to the wall but better planning would make far stronger club. I don’t think it’s anything to do with Taylor, cos from what I’ve seen & heard so far he’s probably the right man for the job, currently; I just don’t believe the new owners have any kind of coherent plan to take us onward and upward. They may well be great at sorting out real estate, but I don’t think they have the first idea about running a football club in the EFL.

😆 🤣 W*nker This is the weakest league one has been for years and this bellend thinks that f*cking up the JCH deal and now not even getting a striker in to replace Collins is how we’re going to get to the Prem? At this rate we’ll never make the top 6 in this league, never mind getting promoted to the Championship or the f*cking Prem . . . It’ll be the same story in the summer

F*ck Wael - he sold us down the river to this new lot Wael is still part owner, still involved and still paying nearly half of the bills. I'm sure he's not happy with some of the mistakes, but he will help them get on the right track or it will cost him a lot of money. I hope you’re right, mate. I’ve just had a bad feeling about them since the whole JCH fiasco last year, and I’m not sure exactly how much say Wael has in proceedings anymore. They have a controlling interest so they get to say what happens and I fear Wael is pretty much just a bystander

But they haven't and aren't. That is the problem. They started looking at the club over a year ago and took charge six months ago, more than enough time to make necessary appointments and improvements. Things are getting worse and standards have slipped. Our name is getting dragged through the dirt in certain football circles because of the owners incompetent son and it isn't good enough. Nah not buying that , they’re new to uk football. Looking to buy isn’t the same as running the show for a few yrs. 6 months is nothing , you’ve hardly got your feet under the table. OK, but why should we be their guinea pigs?

First question on applying for Academy: How many children’s you are registering?Embarrassing. I will be fair and say it’s not their first language. I suspect they have wrote the info themselves because they think they can do everything without help and support. They’ll be reading this and probably won’t like the stuff some of us are saying but all we want is for you guys to do what’s right by the fans and the club. Get proper people in place to do the job and accept help and support. UTG I think you’re being overly generous there. I speak passable German, but if I was setting up a website in German I would at least get a native speaker to give it the once-over first before publishing it, to avoid exactly this kind of thing. It is rank amateurism

Regardless of the politics this whole scenario is just like our last relegation season, when a certain Paul Tisdale failed to recruit the striker that everyone including the players knew we needed to have any hope of staying up. Failure to secure at least one new midfielder and a striker Martin or whoever will leave us in grave danger of going down. Even if we do sign the aforementioned I still think an experienced central defender is needed to ensure we stay up. The hope that when everyone is fit we have a capable team is a pipedream, Wilson, Ward, Friend, Hunt etc are never going to have a long run of games, their age and injury record will ensure this. Thanks Mr Barton. Look, I am neither a Barton fanboy or a Barton hater, but I’m not sure we can lay our league position exclusively at his feet; he clearly believed that we were going to sign JCH as the “tip of the spear”, and when that failed to happen we were left with a team/squad that is essentially a blunted weapon. If, as appears to be the case, this was intentional on the part of Al Saeed Jr, it was either with the full knowledge and assent of AS Senior, or he needs to get a f*cking grip on his son and let some grown-ups run the club for him. Either way this appears to be on the Al Saeeds. They’re on their way to becoming the Glaziers of the 3rd tier at this rate . . .

Why do these posts always come after a run of bad results? To be fair, I started this, mainly out of frustration at how I have been treated, how others have been treated and then what is happening in plain sight caused by one of our owners running the club in a shambolic way. The results are usually the last straw of it all and I've kept my counsel for months. I could post a whole lot more, but what would be the point? It will either be questioned, i'll be accused of having an agenda or something else, like before. I was willing to let it go but then yesterday I showed someone a text message from one of the clubs board regarding the money I was owed when he asked me if I had been paid yet, and his reply was, "that message has made me angry". I then thought, why arent I angry about it? Perhaps I should be but I couldnt get that thought out of my head. I couldnt get to the game last night but wasted a tenner on ifollow to watch it and I spent all game thinking about the utter shambles of the last 6 months, which is now being translated onto the pitch, and then I heard MTs interview this morning and I thought, this is fast becoming a cluster and I'll drop a bomb. Low and behold, a poster here, whom I've never spoken to previously PMd me to say a friend if his had the same issues and gave me some helpful advice from a professional standpoint at debt recovery. You may think I'm being a trouble maker, I'm really not, we're getting a name for ourselves, and it isnt a good one and that comes down to 1 person. Abdullatif Al Saeed. He's losing control, if he ever had any to begin with and if his old man isnt willing to pull him up on it and give him some counsel then a few more fans might make him pay attention. To be honest, I had doubts about this lot from the day they were announced; now it is looking more and more like Wael has either intentionally sold us down the river or failed to do his due diligence on his co-owners before he sold them a controlling interest. I don’t think it would be the former case, so I hope there is some kind of “buy-back” clause in their agreement. Either way it feels as though we’re already not far off the point where we’re going to start seeing fan protests and “AlSaeeds out” banners at the Mem.

Dont believe the owners are providing funds and I wont believe it until i see these players come in. JCH IMO was just a show and they had no intention of paying for him. Think it’s become very clear, thst that can be the only logical explanation really. Given hours of notice what we need to do to extend. Miss the deadline to sign by ‘seconds’. Occam’s razor and all that. IIRC, there was a comment on another thread - possibly from Roadman, but don’t hold me to that - to the effect that Al-Saeed’s son had pulled the plug on the JCH deal at the last minute. No idea whether or not this is true though . . .

He said on the radio tonight that the contract is done and he’s just waiting for it to be announced Part of what Taylor said was: "As far as I was aware it was agreed and ready to be signed going into the weekend. There is going to be some questions there as to why its not been done yet" Well, that’s got Al Saeed Jnr’s fingerprints all over it then, hasn’t it . . .
