Good Luck DC!!! “I can’t wait to get started,” said Clarke after agreeing terms on a three-year contract here at the Banks’s Stadium. “I have spoken with members of the Board on a number of occasions and this is a project I am really looking forward to. “I am excited by the challenge that lies ahead. This is a great club and I can’t wait to get my teeth into the task at hand. “The club have had a couple of disappointing seasons and we now find ourselves in League Two. I want to give these brilliant fans something to shout about, put a smile on their faces and give them a team that will give their all for the club and the badge. “I like my teams to be on the front foot and play attractive, attacking football with the ability to adapt to different scenarios. "I know all about the division we are in, I’ve had success at League Two level before and I want to bring the good times back. I will work tirelessly to achieve our shared goals.” 😭😭😭😭

Full squad list is as follows! Richard Walker Rickie Lambert Craig Hinton Steve Foster Steve Elliott Danny Coles Aaron Lescott Byron Anthony Lewis Haldane Barry Hayles Lewis Hogg Simon Bryant Mark Mckeever Andy Gurney Trevor Challis Rob Trees Lee Mansell Dave Gilroy Will Hoskins Steve Phillips Tom Parinello Great mix of eras and some real legends for only £5! Agreed, what a line up, we just need the Duke and a honorary appearance from junior agogo and it would make it a perfect day.

Lines came back into the fold at a pivotal time, bossed the conference run in and was particularly influential in our promotion out of league 2 and in our first season back in league 1. He is a quality player and we’re lucky to have set him on his way in his career and then seen some of his best days when he returned. It does seem very likely he’ll be off but I expect he’s got another couple of years in the league left in him, fitness permitting. One of our own and I hope he does get his send off next Saturday. I do hope that the club recognise him in some way and it not be just a leave at the end of the season where his BRFC career just peters out. #oneofourown (and there's not too many of them). UTG

No sympathy after one of their fans put that sign up when we were relegated. Ta ta It was before we were relegated. Cheers for the correction 👍

Whatever is happening with Lines... Would be good to play him in the last game of the season. Chrissy lines he's one of our own. *pops up with a 90th minute equaliser against Barnsley Fair shout, if it is how it looks and he won't be playing for the gas next season then it would be fitting tribute to a good servant of the club to play his last game next Saturday especially now we are safe and if it gets him to the 500 mark then well the f**k done to him. Some people like him some people don't but just remember this... He came back in our hour of need and it was his quality that helped to get us back in the league, that should not be forgotten 👏👏 Most promoted player in the quarters 👏👏

I've watched it back and you're right, it was Jakubiak. Good assist. Anyway, gaseous original point remains...a good display from Ogogo. I really rate Ogogo. My kind of player, a midfield version of Craig. No nonsense and not afraid to put his body on the line. Plus the way he wears his shirt reminds me of when I first started watching football! You don’t see many players tucking in these days. I believe he is the kind of midfielder we have been missing for a very long time.

It seems as though everyone has forgotten about ogogo in the middle of the park. I thought it was his best game in a Rovers shirt, he was everywhere, breaking up play, harassing their players at every opportunity, I won't take it away from any of the other players, top class everywhere but he does the not so nice parts of the game, very well today. JCH definitely MOTM but there were a few others that ran him very close. UTG

Absolutely agree that Payne has been a terrible signing so far, probably the worst since we got back in the league. Bit harsh to say that DC and MS don't have what it takes to manage at League 1 level though. Let's not forget that they took us to our highest finish for the best part of 20 years, finishing half way in this league. It went wrong this season for a number of reasons, but they have surely proved their worth at this level.Yes they have. Two mid table finishes gives evidence of that. Agree 1970. As a Rovers fan I hope we win every match and finish as high as possible. But if we do I expect to read a few on here come on and start to wear away at what he’s done. We all know that our recruitment hasn’t been the best and that one of DCs weaknesses was his, in my opinion, failure to use the loans he arranged very well. Of course he wasn’t perfect, he had his failures but blimey we would have been in the **** without him in 2014-15 imo. You might not think him our best manager (I do but others won’t) but he was our most important at a critical time. I just hope that every win we get doesn’t need DCs legacy to be protected and argued about. He was a great manager for us, he’s gone and we move on. No need to criticise him just because we’re doing well. And if we do well from now on and move up the table it should not take away from what DC achieved and his record of achievement. UTG! Well said and I totally agree with all of that. He dragged us back in to the FL and stabilized the club back where it belongs and for that I will always be eternally grateful. UTG

So what you're saying is that the club should have kept DC in post. I wonder how many points we would have gained from the last 4 matches if he had stayed? It would appear the players signed were of a good standard, Payne excepted, but DC just didn't know how to get the best from them. As I say I will be forever grateful for what he achieved and will give him a warm welcome should he ever return as an opposing manager. However, I firmly believe that he, and Stewart, were out of their depth, floundering and had reached their time. I’m not saying that at all, I was and I remain a really big fan of DC but he lost the plot this season regarding team selection and tactics and I think a change of manager has been a really good thing for the club as Coughlan obviously has been able to get the best out of a squad that we all knew had ability but lacked confidence and direction and he’s now found the right combination of players to go forward with. My point was that we were all quick to write off players such as Upson, Rodman and Reilly but they have now started to flourish under new leadership. Not all of us were quick to write them off, I believed both Reilly and Rodman were good aquisitions but what it came down to was they weren't being played consistently.

When we signed Reilly I went on YouTube and watched his goals and he scored quite a few, albeit through the Scottish Leagues but you still have to get in the positions and also put the ball in the back of the net, something obviously Reilly can do unfortunately it is something Nichols cannot. Reilly must have a good run in the side to continue showing what he can do. I don't think he's going anywhere in January, unless it's him that wants away but I don't think that. UTG

No, No, no this is absolute dog sh1t. The pressure has finally mounted on them enough to think that they need to issue a statement. They could name the site as it has completely fallen through, for example ‘I was looking to purchase no 9 Fool road but unfortunately it has fallen through due to the fact that I’m unable to get planning permission for a giant penis statue in the garden’ simples no? This statement is as believable as flat earth theory, also like flat earth theory many of you will lap it up and believe it with statements like ‘I feel much better about our club than I did 24 hours ago’ really! surely that’s only because we won yesterday and not this pile of crap coming from the board. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Robbie Fowler is not what we need right now, no managerial experience, we are in the proverbial at the moment, we need someone with experience of managing otherwise me may just have kept DC.
