Looks great to be fair, and now all the seats are in and the fence in front is down, that empty bit in the top left hand corner doesn't look that big at all.

Bit of fun for awhile, steadied the ship but can we go and get a proper manager now pls That's how I've felt for a little while now, I know there are those who will say, like they did under Coughlan, that we're winning, and that's all that matters, and to a certain extent I agree with that. It's not even the style of play that worries me that much, as long as we're winning, but it's more the fact that, just as with Coughlan, we don't look convincing and it feels that at some point we're going to get found out and then we're going to struggle.

Message to the new owners please can you put our famous blue and white quarters on the back of our home shirts next season 💙 I'm sure most will agree so maybe we can set up a poll to show the owners that we want our unique quarters on the back of our shirts as well as the front because I for one hate the plain blue design! Why has wael allowed this to become the norm as it must be his decision 🤔 Seconded (oh and white shorts).

We took over 3000 last year, not sure that much has changed in a year in terms of Derby, more something to do with the uncertainty around us at the moment I think Was that their first season back in L1? I doubt it followed a big away following in the previous game? From memory it was just short of a thousand to Sheff Weds on a Tuesday night

1600 tickets sold seems really poor to me? What’s going on Not sure an away game v Derby is that attractive anymore? We took over 3000 last year, not sure that much has changed in a year in terms of Derby, more something to do with the uncertainty around us at the moment I think

When I saw the thread I thought I'd slipped into so parallel universe where we were playing the six fingered inbreds. Oh well at least we get to go to a decent stadium with good atmosphere that doesn't stink of sh*t.

Can anyone tell me the plans for the very left of the stand where the seats don’t go all the way to the back of the stand?? What’s going there??? Or why have they left it blank?? Scoreboard? Media suite? Security control room? Hospitality? Pitch view restaurant?

I get that, and it's a nice thought, but I think massive hurdles would stop us from getting anywhere near doing that at the Mem. 15-20,000 is fine unless we are regularly challenging for promotion to the Premiership, and the rare cup tie. 15,000 would be lower than every average attendance in the Championship bar one, Rotherham. Not sure under 20,000 at the very least is sustainable these days.

Will the change of managers and the financial implications that may come with it, cause the owners to reconsider if they have the cash to splash on JCH I was thinking the same thing, it could depend on who the next manager is and what they have been promised in order to get them to come here.

Thanks Mangan for steadying the ship and a decent points return but we need someone who can take a hold of this squad and get the best out of them

Given that we already have a 7,000+ standing capacity it would be a bit strange to make some of the 5,500 seats 'safe standing' I think that 'safe standing' is just a way of all seated stadiums to provide standing options. I much prefer our unsafe standing. Me too 😁

Some seats have been put in the SW and corner of south stand Without going through 290 pages, & this may've already been covered, but Are any of the new seats "safe standing" ? Given that we already have a 7,000+ standing capacity it would be a bit strange to make some of the 5,500 seats 'safe standing' I think that 'safe standing' is just a way of all seated stadiums to provide standing options.

That’s a great idea. And another option could be to still move everything east without turning the pitch round. Build a new east stand, behind the existing one, which would allow the whole ground to stay at full capacity while it is being built. Moving the pitch east would allow more space for a bigger west stand. I don't think they have the money to build a new East stand. That is why they are going to add to each side. Not sure how they're going to raise much money at all if they keep losing millions every season and the playing budget won't be affected. With people choosing to purchase food &drinks in Gloucester road outlets I can see the tents coming back-- Mind you they'll be upgraded by then. I suspect you are right, very similar to Brunton Park, their main stand is almost identical to ours apart from the extensions either side.

Ok, so it's not football but I played shinty for Edinburgh Uni in National Division 1(South) back in the day (so equivalent to the championship I guess) and was picked for Scottish Universities against Irish Unis.

Whatever the reason, the stats show our biggest home crowd of the season so far. It directly followed our lowest home crowd so far and it cannot be attributed to fair weather fans as the weather was appalling. I reckon many more stayed away due to Barton than folk on here realised. Perhaps they fudged the numbers to consolidate their decision. There were gaps all over the crowd yesterday so there was plenty of space. It was payday, people were intrigued, Barton factor probably raised a few eyebrows and generated interest though. I don't really have a strong opinion about the sacking or the new owners but I think it's quite difficult to fudge attendance figures these days, or at least significantly, especially if we are a cashless venue now.

Would it make a difference to capacity if the pitch is turned? I've always said this, build a new east stand behind the existing one, re-orientate the pitch to make it behind the goal, enlarge and extend the South and North sides of the ground which would have more length and depth and then finally redevelop the west which would also have more depth if the pitch moved further east.

I know quite a few Luton fans, despite his success a lot of them didn't like him, huge ego apparently. Lots of successful people do have a huge ego. We could write out a number of successful candidates if we're going to take that approach to appointing a manager. Maybe we should bring Mark McGhee again he seemed a nice bloke... There's probably a few Luton fans who feel a bit bitter that he left them for Stoke. I'm sure the majority appreciate how hard and well he got them working as a group though. He more or less took them up from L2 to the prem. I know he only has the L2 promotion on his Cv but he left them in a very strong position both times he left them. And you cna come at me and say he failed at Southampton, Stoke etc but which of those 3 clubs do you think was the best comparison to managing Rovers? Luton obviously. Well we can agree to differ I guess, I grew up in Bedfordshire so most of my friends are Luton fans they think he did a decent job, not as good as Edwards, but was just an unpleasant piece of work with zero humility who thought the world revolved around him even after failing miserably elsewhere
