He knows this is just delay tactics, we know it's delay tactics, the judge knew it was delay tactics. There's no way he thinks he can actually stop the development! What a cock.
The chap he is appealing to has already made his mind up on this for goodness sake, they are persistent I'll give them that but they are just now making themselves look stupider by the day.

Unfortunately Smith will be off. He's far too good to be playing at conference level and I don't think anyone would begrudge him moving on. He is a future championship player. I would be very surprised if Brentford decided to buy half of our defence though bearing in mind we went down and they went up! Peterborough would be the most likely I'd have thought. Hopefully a nice fee would be involved too.

I'm pretty sure there is usually a dull void of nothingness during May-early June where players are all off sunning themselves and contracts are still running to an end. I am sure DC is telling the truth when he says he is busy on the phone to agents and clubs. We just need something else to do for the next few weeks till the World Cup starts. Some UWE news would be most welcome now though... I am very keen to see what sort of calibre players sign though and how many we do end up bringing in.

I'm far more concerned with the Smith to MK Dons rumour also flying about. Although I guess we should expect Smith to be linked with a move considering the fact that he is a rare specimen in that he is a very good player at the gas. I can actually see Smith, Parkes and Brown gone by the start of the season. Will be time to see DC earn his money when the replacements start to come in.

Good stuff starting this forum Ras. I posted quite a lot on the OF and joined the IF under a new name (new start, new name) but despite a decent amount of very knowledgeable and interesting posters it felt like every time I read new posts was like hammering another nail into the Rovers coffin and preparing for our funeral... Yes the OF did get a bit repetitive (Cureton, Pipe, Ellington, Gary Johnson et el) but at least it didn't make me want to slit my wrists after every read. I'll continue reading the IF but hopefully have a bit more fun on this one, looking forward to a bit of gas chat again once the pre-season gets going and we start signing players and getting some news on the UWE. Yes we got relegated, yes we are worse run than pub team but our club will never die! Season ticket arrived last week and now I say BRING IT ON! Who's with me?!!!

Baring in mind we could def get a semi-decent fee for him I would definitely offload him. For the money we would get we'd probs be able to get 2 or 3 decent players at this level. Agree with this. I'd rather see McCrystal and an experienced conference beast at the back with a younger, quicker option as backup. Lockyer can also do a fine job back there. If he stays then he should do well but I haven't really seen anything this season to show he is progressing as I hoped he would do. To be honest I would be surprised if a league team signed him knowing there will be plenty of players out of contract to get for free.
