Please stop this talk! Promotion would be the worst thing to happen to us now. Consolidate in this league and then go for it over the next 2/3 years.Promotion this year would kill the club and good atmosphere we have at the moment. How do you put off getting promoted in football? I've always wondered. We haven't thrown the kitchen sink at getting promoted the past two seasons and we have done so. If the same looks like its happening this year do we start losing on purpose towards the end or...? We managed to avoid promotion in 1999-2000 quite spectacularly

Isn't that the game where the club were offering free tickets for season ticket holders on a "bring a friend" basis? I took advantage of that offer and got 3 tickets via our season ticket books. I presume the club will honour those tickets for the rearranged date? Can you still get the free ticket? My mate can make the rearranged fixture but not the original.

I agree with most of your assessment Steve. However I'm not sure about Roos' distribution. It seemed to be alright rather than anything special. He did pull of a great save in the first half though.
As for Colkett he looks absolute class and that pass was one of the best I have seen so far this season.

Well * me. I forgot my season ticket tonight. The new rules are you have to pay full price for a new one and you get a refund when you bring in the voucher. However they now charge £5 for this. I know they have costs and want us to remember but £5 seemed a bit steep. It's also £5 less for 50/50, program and refreshments I normally buy.

Hottest September day for 50 years they said........ Exactly what a joke... and not a mention of any rain. What other job continually allows people to get paid the same salary for getting it all so wrong. [ England goalkeeper?

Roos J Clarke Hartley Lockyer Brown Boteng Lines Colkett Easter (Diamond) Taylor Harrison I still have nightmares from the Twerton days and Malcolm Allisons 'diamond'! God did we ship some goals and get the run around. That was my immediate thought as well. Maybe we could bring back his Christmas tree formation too

Can we just charge Swindon fans £19 extra at the home game? But that makes us as bad as them. And it's not the fans fault - they have been treated just as badly.

What are people's thoughts on going to the NON u23 games or are you taking a stance in every game because theyve been included in the competition?? This is the question I've been trying to answer to myself. If we go do we just validate the whole tournament or do we show our support for the proper league one and two sides who should be in it?

Aside from all the arguments/counter arguments and the banter tonight . Tonight is a sad night for football where the EFL have ignored football supporters all over the country and imposed on us a competition, the conditions/rules of which no-one wanted. This is the key point isn't it. Ordinary fans don't want it and the majority have made their opinion clear by the low attendances tonight around the country.

What attendance do you think will be considered a success or failure? Last season our only JPT game at home attendance was 3243. Given that we are pulling in 8000+ for league games what attendance is needed for the FL to say it is a success and how low for it to be a failure. I am not going tonight as I disagree with the academy/youth teams experiment but I might consider the Yeovil game as that is still within the tradition of the cup and sends a message that it is a lower league trophy not to be invaded by the premiershi*e.

Harsh on Mildy in my opinion I agree. Thought he'd done enough to earn the right to be number one.

I actually think he's been a bit of a dick in the media lately and I don't really like him anymore. Maybe he's been hanging around with the big headed winge back Ronaldo too much. Fantastic player on his day and won 2 champions leagues so can't knock him as a player though really. I think you've hit the nail on the head here. Bale is undoubtedly class but the media have got so far up his backside it's nauseating and his own profile makes him look quite arrogant.

This is good news. He is capable of controlling a game and hopefully league 1 will be better football allowing Linesy more opportunity to show his class
