Expecting us to have 10 red cards? I think it will be either 3-1 Shrewsbury or a sneaky 1-0 win for us.

We will dominate the first half but won't take our chances and lose 3-0 in the second half , as unpredictable we are we are very predictable 😉Watch this space but gladly eat humble pie

I have a good feeling about tonight but it completely depends on which Rovers side turn up. If we get on the front foot and look solid at the back then we can get a result, if 3-4 players underperform and we produce another dreadful away display then we can't expect much. I reckon after the weekend we will see a return of Sweeney and Brown.
Slocombe Brown Lockyer Sweeney Partington Clarke Sercombe Lines Harrison Gaffney Nichols
2-1 Gas

I'm going to the game but can't say I'm optimistic.Their defence has been water-tight whereas ours ....... you know.
We can only hope that we play out of our skins and our finishing is better than Saturday. I'd happily take our first draw. UTG !

I would do this.
________________ Slocombe ______________ _______ Lockyer _ Broadbent _ Sweeney _____ Partington _____ Lines ___ Sinclair _____ Brown ________________ Sercombe ______________ ____________ Gaffney ___ Telford __________
I feel this isa strong back line. Both wing backs have a good assist record this season and against an unbeaten side, Partington and Brown will have an important role tp play tonight in ending Shrewsbury's run.
Clarke hasnt been great recently. Sinclair runs and runs and his energy can make it a bit easier for Sercombe to get forward to support our attacks. Lines needs to have 1 of his better games for us tonight.
Harrison has done well recently but I think the Shrews will believe he will start and will have a plan for him. If Harrison is used as a sub then his pace will be valuable in the later stages. Gaffney will put himself about and will compliment Telford well. Telford, I feel, deserves a chance to start and this will be unexpected for the Shrews to predict. I would fancy Telford scoring tonight if he starts.

Think we are being disrespectful to the shrews. If it was a big name like Blackburn or Pompey top of the league with the same record, we'd be predicting a big home win. I think we'll go 1 down early, go gung-ho and end up loosing by 3 or 4.

That said they've won 9 and drew 4 so we are going to have to play very well to get anything out of this.

Like the look of that makes more sense to play three at the back when you have the full backs pushing on, easier to cover that's what done us at the weekend maybe Bola instead of Brown !!

Does anyone know much about the The Shrews ? - who are their danger men ? what formation they play ? I admit I've hardly heard of any of their players - their keeper is on loan from Man U and has done well apparently.

If there is one striker they will be expecting to start then it will be Ellis.

Not what I want but DC will go back to the old guard: Slocombe Leadbitter Sweeney Lockyer Brown Moore Lines Sercombe Sinclair Harrison Nicholls Heart says 2-0 away win, head says 2-1 loss, with all due respect though, not quite sure how Shrewsbury have become the team to beat. I can't see them lasting. There's always a couple of teams that start well and fade away. Carlisle last season went months unbeaten but didn't even finish in the playoffs.

If you are going to play that formation the you have to play Leadbitter Or Bola or both.
