Well being a old fart, where the love of my life is working up in London, and dealing with the general public 67 Hours a week, Football is great way to "relax" and meet likewise people in a non combative environment. and it is far better than watching the constant doom & gloom that is National TV or god forbid Watching EastEnders type rubbish Being a old fart and letting the love of your life work 67 hours a week in London you can't be that old Attachments:

I guess so but I bet most of the 1500 are still happy to shop in Sainsbury's too. Let’s go the whole hog and say they dare to wear Red as well. What wankers eh?
I don't even like seeing purple combined with green. Reminds me of that knob Tinnion.

Just a follow up question. In your opinion do you think BRFC, the club, wanted to play that game last night or not. I am not talking about DC but the owners / directors etc Based on the fact our owners voted against retaining the format which included U23 teams, I can only assume not. Interesting you say that, so why do you suppose they made it so cheap to watch, if they wanted to make a point why didnt they charge £50 a ticket, I am sure no one would pay that so no crowd. Protest made!

This is exactly the trouble with this competition. They beat what was effectively our reserves and now he thinks those players are good enough for league one/championship based on that! I don't think so. Do what the likes of Kane/Alli have done etc and come on loan in proper competitive games if you think you are good enough. Also to say it was hard having to head balls out etc is ridicilous. We had probably about as small and lightweight team as we could have had in midfield and going forward lol! Some test! but would you take their excellent centre forward on loan (Martinez) ? I would have him like a shot to replace a very poor Telford. He made Ryan Sweeney look like a complete novice at times, i do wonder whats happened to Stanley from last year ? Maybe he is starting to show his true level now Martinez cost £2.4 m from valencia ,martin samuelson has 3 full international caps for norway, declan rice has played 5 premier league games this season for west ham so yes martinez would be a good swap for telford and cost £2.1m pound more than our record signing, samuelson a good swap for moore and rice would be a fair swap for any of our players who have played less than 5 premier league matches. Sweeney is struggling for confidence right now but hes only 19 or 20. Martinez weekly wages = our whole team on tuesday night imo

No costs for stewards, turn style staff etc etc

Maybe they wouldn't feel comfortable manipulating fans' freedom of choice by using outlandish entrance fees/closed doors, thus denying them the opportunity to watch their team?

Isn't that what the people who protest on this forum want, to manipulate fans to their way of thinking, by calling them scabs, accusing them of endangering the clubs very survival etc etc What I am trying to allude to is if a protest is to be successful, then a protest by the actions of the club would be much more affective than fans boycotting the game. There was no press reports that I have seen, that reported on the low crowd but if the club played behund closed doors then that would get national attention.

There have been a few uses of scab but most posts are making passionate, persuasive arguments because they consider this a serious issues with major consequences. Why take argument as manipulation? People talk of democracy - a boycott is a form of democracy and could alter the future of this competition. Just like political parties campaign to change minds and get votes - fans are campaigning for something they care about. Find it odd that this is taken as some form of fascist bullying.

Keyboard bullies? Internet forums are a place for debate and discussion. Passionately defending a viewpoint hardly constitutes bullying. Quite right. Just read the thread and see the sh*t thrown. Very few on here would confront people face to face and say the same things they type. Remember, we are all gasheads. Time alone will tell who who is right and who is wrong. I went to see the youth game at the Mem last night. Fabulous game that we should have won easily, but went down to the wire. Great entertainment, saw DC, and a few people I didn't recognise in the corridors of power 🤐🤐. Some on here should try it. Get some fresh air in your lungs instead of cramp in your digits.

I can't speak for others but I certainly would be more than prepared and happy to defend my viewpoint to anyone on here face to face. I don't think anyone who plays the keyboard warrior card appreciates just how passionate people feel about this issue and protecting fundamental values of lower league football. Unfortunately the term Gasheads implies a collective group with the same interests at heart which hasn't been particularly been evident in this and similar threads. As we're repeatedly reminded, it's all about the mentality of the individual, not the group. Glad to hear you had a good time last night. Not particularly sure what you're getting at with the last comment.
