Very quick, skillful, great touch on the ball, can play on either wing. Whats to become of byron? A top player for crewe in league 1 and 2 and although not a massive success at port vale was offered a new contract by them before accepting rovers offer of a 2 year deal. Desperately sad tragic events blighted his personal life and seemingly affected his football career. With rovers he usually starts brightly but ultimately dosnt deliver whats required. On the bench on saturday ahead of telford and bola so maybe theirs hope yet for byron as dc is never quick to give up on players. No realistic chance of a new contract is there? I mean apart from ellis harrison pre-season im not sure anyone is rated lower amongst the fan base.

Very sad for his personal circumstances but he has been really poor for us.
Can't imagine he will be here in the summer and will probably have to drop to non league if he wants to continue playing football.

Genuinely believe there’s still a respectable L1 winger in there somewhere, but doubt we’ll ever see it.
He was absolutely brilliant at home to Millwall at the end of last season, and I really thought there was a chance he’d take confidence from that performance and be a different player this season. But alas not.
Feel sorry for the bloke. No one should go through what he had to - and it’s taken a big toll on his career IMO.

Just after signing for Port Vale he received a message from his brother. He rushed to his house and found he had committed suicide.

I know DC can be faithful to his players but he can also be ruthless. Let's not forget mildenhall when told to find another club. DCs always prepared to give another chance but if BM doesn't improve significantly soon I can't see DC holding that squad place or the budget for him. His budget is too precious to start with. I'm sure BM would have been given all the psychological help needed as clubs do provide that in this day and age and as an experienced pro he will know it's down to him to take this chance to turn things around as the football world is very small and people will see he hasn't done well at his last 2 clubs. Come on BM there are young players over taking you now in the squad and this is an exciting time to be a player for BRFC

Not so sure he's had that much of a chance. Same with our borrowed players much of the time. Scored a classy goal at Bolton, and I thought that might be the kick start he'd need. But no.
In fact if players deserve a chance, I'd suggest that DC goes and sees the development side more often than he does. There are at least two there that should be in and around the first team squad.

I was quite optimistic when he signed but it really hasn't worked out for him here.
I think there is a decent skilful player in there somewhere but his confidence seems to have disappeared (since his brothers death?) and I feel he will have to drop a league or 2 to find it again. Can't see him being here next season.
Whatever happens, good luck to the bloke. What he went through would have a lasting affect on most people.

I attend most Development Squad games home and west and DC is at all home games and even left at half time with MS at one to meet the first team to travel to an away game

Like you say, tragic personal circumstances which have obviously affected his football and he's been nowhere near the player he was for Crewe but I still imagine he will easily find a L2 club if he is to leave us in the summer.

Strange how some obviously talented wingers fall by the wayside;Jake Gosling, wonderfully talented but far too peripheral in games,Monty who I rated but can't get in the Vale team and now BM who when he played at Wolves-last time I saw him play,-looked very lack lustre. Vale fans here reminded me that Lewis Haldene played for them and he too was very hit and miss for them and sustained a very bad injury. Also talking of Byron Moore.Seems his Mum works near my village of Eccleshall. We tend to forget players too have their own individual lives, family issues and concerns outside of Sat afternoons.

He'll pack football in at the end of the season to become a Psychiatrist and sort out Bluebutterfly's split personality issues

Oh, first i’d heard of that, terrible Byron and his mum rushed over to his brothers after a unsettling text and found he had hung himself on the day he signed for port vale.
