Explain please how that is racist? Explain please how asking what "their own types" means is racist? It was a question, put to a poster about what they meant by their comment. How on earth you would think that was racist is way beyond me. Keep plugging away though. |

I was agreeing with Inee that anyone who comes in to this country should have to meet criteria before they are given benefits. Yet you had to add that some British people don't work Never paid into the system but claim benefits.Are you now denying that you wrote that? True though. |

I don't personally know any immigrants, but the ones I do think fall into that catagory are the ones driving delivery vans, washing cars, sweeping roads, picking up garbage, pushing wheelchairs in hospitals. I do however know plenty of white ethnic Brits who due to a toe injury 15 years ago, manage to get a new bunglalow, all expenses paid State Pension, smoke, and somehow manage to may their way up to the pub every day. Maybe if we sorted our own house out first we wouldn't be concerned with how much we're spending on immigration. Sorry bags, but isn't this post blatantly racist? Surely it works both ways. |

I don't personally know any immigrants, but the ones I do think fall into that catagory are the ones driving delivery vans, washing cars, sweeping roads, picking up garbage, pushing wheelchairs in hospitals. I do however know plenty of white ethnic Brits who due to a toe injury 15 years ago, manage to get a new bunglalow, all expenses paid State Pension, smoke, and somehow manage to may their way up to the pub every day. Maybe if we sorted our own house out first we wouldn't be concerned with how much we're spending on immigration. Sorry bags, but isn't this post blatantly racist? Surely it works both ways. But I guess you see what you want to see People who make assertions about immigrants are called racists so the opposite must be true unless there is one rule for immigrants and one rule for non immigrants. It isn't what anyone wants to see it's common sense and fairness. There was only one assertion being made. And that was aimed squarely at immigrants. This was a response, amongst many others, against that assertion. |

It's not racist. It's an observation of behaviour. If he had said all white Brits are.... then it would have been. Similarly, to say that a high proportion of people who are perpetrators of knife crime are of of a certain ethnicity is not racist if it's true. To say all people of that ethnicity engage in knife crime would be racist. |

Back to Brexit the independent a newspaper as laughable as The Guardian when it comes to leftie pro EU nonsense today claimed that after Brexit we will have a shortage of cheese butter and other dairy products.Seems those big black and white things we see in fields didn't exist before the EU.The fact is those big black and white things we see in fields were around long before the EU and they produced enough milk to keep the whole UK and other parts of Europe in quality dairy products but then the EU came along and ruled that the quality of our dairy produce was too good and it was unfair on other countries so quotas were introduced.....Of course the usual suspects on here will claim how great the EU is and how the UK subsidising Lithuania Latvia and Estonia makes us stronger but they cannot make a case for how the CAP or the CFP benefits the tax payers of the UK.

I am commenting on the post not the character of the poster who seems a fine man to me Bags was responding to an earlier post and I read it that he sees immigrants doing many of the important but so say menial tasks - a positive. He then said that he knows "some" white British who flout the benefits system. Which bit did you disagree with and which bit do you feel is racist? It's not always easy to convey the actual intended meaning to the reader so interested to see what you read as I interpreted it differently. |

Some many ideological people these days are more than a little sensitive to the opposite opinion so that's why I changed the words to show what it looks like, I'm pretty confident if my post would have been the first this board would have exploded with racism accusations. I think it is important we have balance and fairness. The post for me gave a biased view that immigrants work hard doing menial jobs whilst 'Brits' (incidentally it's racism if the Pakistani word is shortened like this??) stay at home with trivial complaints and abuse the system. I have worked in a mixed race environment for 30 years and I can tell you that plenty ofimmigrants abuse the system along with of course plenty of 'white Brits'. I'm off to work now so unable to reply until this evening.
