Anyway, actually think we'll win today. Wycombe to score their first goal of the season in a 3-1 Rovers win. Sercs, Payne and Benno to score.

Similar to the lineup against Accrington but we’ve taken Bennett and Rodman out and replaced with Matthews and Nichols in a diamond formation with two up top. It will be interesting to see how it gets on, our fullbacks really need to step up today.

f**king hate Wycombe. Good luck today Gas. I feel indifferent to them tbh. Some small irrelevant club that try to fabricate a rivalry with us on the basis of events that happened 4-5 years ago because they have no local rivals to speak of. They play proper ugly football mind. They’ll be the weakest of the newly promoted teams this year I reckon so a real chance to get our season up and running today. Bit more to it than that. They seem to be intrinsically linked to bad things that have happened to this club. Right back in the 90s when we were in the second tier, Martyn O'neill was lined up to come here and he chose to go to them a non league team at the time. The infamous lightning farce that was the beginning of the end for McGhee and possibly the start of our slide into the conference. Then of course the events of 2014 where they sent us down by winning at Torquay, though in fairness we pretty much sent ourselves down that day. Then if that was not devastating enough our then Chairman decided to launch a ridiculous legal challenge to get us reinstated at their expence. So really as I see it, it would have been better for us if they had never existed. |

Jeeps let's hope this side has enough creative prowess to feed the 2 strikers we've all been crying out for! Seems a bit odd to leave out Benno, this really is a great chance for Nichols to cement his place in the team.... come on lad, prove your point!
