Which of the following will cost the least?
Sacking DC Relegation to League 2 Bringing in a CB on loan.

I watched McChrystal play last season and if he is the answer I'm not sure what the question is. The question is.... Is the world flat or round? The answer is.... Mark Mccrystal....

Ive been asked not to be negative today so after this loss to a team in a higher league was not that surprising but I understand from other posters that the performance was poor once again So we move on to Saturday v Shrewsbury and that game together with the Plymouth game could well define the rest of the season

Sorry to all the Craig disparagers but it is completely wrong to blame Lockyer or Craig for any of the goals tonight.
The first was down to James Clarke being roasted by the best player on the pitch and Smith possibly not doing as well as he might have. The second was just rank bad goalkeeping in letting a soft shot squirm under him. The third was allowing a cross to come in unchallenged (again) and then Smith getting in front of Broadbent.
We played some really good stuff tonight, had more possession and created more chances than they did. However, we clearly can't defend (and that's as a team rather than one or two individuals) and we can't score goals. I hope that DC plays Bonham on Saturday too, as he must be better than Smith.
But here's the uncomfortable truth. Gasheads are not exactly performing either at the moment. Singing "how sh*t must you be, we've scored a goal" is an example of crap support and does NOTHING to help a side clearly struggling for confidence.
Night.

Mark McChrystal probably isn't good enough now, but we need to find a player of similar organisational stature or we are stuffed, literally, every week.

I watched McChrystal play last season and if he is the answer I'm not sure what the question is. Of course he is not the answer, merely pointing out that a decent centre back who can organise the defence is what is required. No point whatsoever in wasting money bringing in a defensive coach when all he has to coach is dog sh**e.

On the coach home. Calm down guys, thought we passed the ball well at times and opened them up on a few occasions. The difference tonight first half, was their left winger, very quick, skillful and direct. Felt a bit sorry for James Clarke, o, for a winger like that!. Admittedly we should have closed down the shot for the second goal better though. 3rd goal a cracking header, but allowed a free run. Kelly did well, technically a good player and can see a pass. Upson had a better game. Smith in my opinion was not to blame for the goals. We do however need 2 better quality centre backs. Bennett for all his skills rarely picks a good pass and the same with Ollie Clarke, yea, he can offer a bit of bite to the midfield, but we have to get Lines back in the team. Matthews technically a good player, Payne worked hard again. Looks like we are going to have to make do with what we have defensively, which is the main worry for me. agree with most of that, but Smith should have saved the second

A good keeper obviously helps, but a commanding centre back will always in my opinion be your number one organiser in chief.

Having played there as a keeper you see everything as a CB you only see whats in front of you not what's going on behind !

Waiting for a train and a bit fed up, but think it's fair to say it wasn't a bad performance, which makes the result all the more frustrating. Just not clinical enough in either box

Tom Lockyer looked ok at right back in the second half but by then their winger was out on his feet. Clarke at RB seems to suffer the same problem that Lockyer suffers from when CB, that is whether to stick or twist when there's a danger and a spare attacker. Rather than dealing with the immediatel problem they're looking around behind themselves for another and end up dealing with neither. Tom has the pace to be a full back and I think would be better suited there. Broadbent can bring a ball out and will in time come good.

Took a couple of neutral mates along tonight and they didnt reckon their left winger was up to much, they just couldn't believe how slow and cumbersome James Clarke was
