This side is no better than any of our recent relegation sides. No edge to us once again. At the risk of sounding obvious, every time we get a game changing player, they get bought by someone else. Taylor, bodin, Ellis. Even going back to carayol. When we find / develope, a player who can make his own space / time / goals, they want to leave and we sell him. Catch 22. Then we're left with basically 10 or 11 bog standard players. Yeah why because we are run and have facilities no better than bath city, you can’t blame players wanting out and the players we got need too go back to basics we are not in the prem that’s how DC manages.

Yeah but you should choose your words and the way you say things he don’t deserve the barrage of abuse you have gave him. And why not the last third of last season and all of this season he has totally f**ked us up I'm going to ask you a question that might sound a bit weird. Your avatar that says DC out. What's it written on? Because it looks like it's written on an incontinence sheet?

Real lack of quality all over the pitch, bar Bonham and the Jak when he came on. If the Jak doesn’t start on Saturday I’ll be shocked! He actually got his body between the defender and ball on the 3 occasions he actually made a bad pass into something decent. Considering we are supposed to be strong in the middle of midfield, they all looked shot tonight. They only real positive is that we have a team of try-ers but no one with star quality.
Kyle Bennett bottles out of 3 challenges tonight which is disgusting for any player playing at any level. I can accept players who don’t have the technical ability but not ones who don’t put in a shift and fight for the cause. Not acceptable at this club Bennett!!!! Chris ‘hollywood pass’ Lines, well, well, well. Awful in a deeper role, please don’t ask him to play in there again DC.
Oh well, an away point is and away point. On wards to saturday

To play devils advocate:
To many, a month ago moaning about drawing away from home seemed miles off.
If we win on Saturday- it’s been a good 2 weeks

A manager once said "I hope to bring the right age group that will become sellable assets in the future and hopefully I'll replace them before they get sold on so we have a continuing loop of good players" and that is the key for me.

I think Sercs is a different standard but he's only just returning to fitness, Bennett's frustrating as he's seems to have the ability but no end result. Although when you look at the table the likes of Oxford & Plymouth are struggling more than us and Northampton & MK Dons have dropped down a league.

Only 1 win in our last 8 league games. And only one man to blame I’m afraid Do you not think the loss of Taylor, Bodin, Harrison, Gaffney, Brown has more to do with it? Of course we are always going to lose players, but if you sell them cheap and then don't even put that money back into replacements you are only heading one way in the end. Dc has done well to finish as high in league one as he has to date.

I'm sure this is a repeat of last season's comments, and probably the two before it as well.
After a terrible start and multiple unsuccesful permutations from DC, and with a possible relegation threatening if he carries on as he was, he decides to shut the barn door and play for a draw.
The goals conceded stop, the defeats stop, the fear of losing goes away, and we move on from there. He works out how to not lose, and then how to win, and we rise up the table.
Why he does this every season is a mystery, but it seems to be a constant pattern.
The trouble is this season we have nobody who can score goals.
I think the plan might not work this time around.

All this constant changing of team and tactics doesn't work with players of this level, they are under too much pressure from the start. MOM to sitting on the bench next game is wrong and will only do harm to the team morale and results.

Or with dc the whole squad are involved and morale stays high because nobody is out of the picture.

That was... excruciating to watch.
Slow. Lethargic. No movement. No width. Disjointed.
Just awful.

We go into Saturday unbeaten in three, four if you count WHU boys . A home win on the weekend and we can start the climb. UTG

I was disappointed tonight. A point away is ok but we played against 10 men and failed to play at any real pace to move the ball. Some of the short passing is woefully slow and inaccurate. We also got bossed in both defence and attacking positions 1 to 1. That said we had our chances and should have put one or two away. As someone else said it seems a lack of quality and also confidence to be honest.

This season is a write off with some luck we stay up... Dc can say we have 6 points from away games and be happy with that but we’ve played teams we should have beaten and bottom half positions we’ve not played a lot of top half teams yet and lost those games if we have...we’ve beaten Coventry that are just above us and lost to the rest of the higher teams so far... Personally I couldn’t care if we only lost by a goal because managers and fans hide behind that..we lost because we haven’t got anything upfront ...a disjointed midfield that has more holes than a tea bag and a defence that can’t pass a ball under pressure and can’t beat oppositions to the ball... Brown going and leads big dip in form again has proven to be a killer blow as we’re left with no options down the wings and hoofers that think in league 1 the right decision every time is hoof it and hope something comes of it.. The players that have come in like Bennett and Mathews are luxury players and when it’s time to dig aren’t your answer Funny we use to moan about Taylor or bodin not tracking back or browner getting skinned a couple of times and this is happening every game now with what we have playing in the starting line up and no end product either on top.... Truth is if we had smith in goal we would have had a drumming and lost more games than we drew.. It was the same when Lumley came... I think dc knows deep down this squad could be the end of him when his contract runs out...because we won’t sack him and pay him off because who would want to manage a team for a crap wage and have no facilites to train on that’s professional and no money to buy anyone so their left with a league 2 squad working on a shoe string

2 hours of my life I’m not getting back but unbeaten in a while now with a home game coming up. Win that and things will be looking ok. I always have a to make a call on week night matches if I should stay up or not and then try to survive the next day on 5 hours sleep. I was just about to go to bed at half time but the sending off swayed me to carry on watching!

Well we didn't loose and another clean sheet. That's about the only positives!
Its good to see Partington back, we did miss him. Sercombe's first start in a while and gets shoved out to the wing. Maybe he should be the one playing behind the striker?
Towards the end it was hoof ball after hoof ball not only from the defenders but Lines was coming back to do the same. You would have had no idea we were playing against ten men!
I actually thought Payne had a good game and and we barely had a chance after he went off. The way he held the ball up, turned his defender and smashed the ball against the bar was a great bit of football and he deserved a goal.
If we win on Saturday then maybe its not all that bad with two wins and two draws. I really don't know where the goals are going to come from though and I said before, we don't even look like scoring half the amount of goals we scored last season!
