you got a feel for their supporters - the stadium built for them but again they have to go elsewhere. Sisu sound like a bunch of arseholes but you also wonder if Wasps are helping as much as they could. I think they been stung don’t you?🐝

Makes you think we would give our right testicle for a ground like that and thanks to awkward owners they cant make it work! I'd give my right testicle for their old Highfield Road stadium, never mind the Ricoh. Makes you wonder what they were thinking of when they sold a ground like that to property developers and moved into a new one as tenants. Someone was enjoying holidays in the Caribbean after that deal.

Yeah I prefer highfield road to the Ricoh , more character, proper looking football ground and surely big enough for a club of Coventry’s size and potential. Strange how things have gone for them, felling sorry for their supporters.

Main difference is though that we would have owned the stadium, just not the land it was built on, but it had a 150 year initial lease on it with a renegotiation clause after 5 years for longer...not exactly the same as Eastville or the Ricoh situation. Highfield Road was a great old stadium and full of character and could have easily been redeveloped. CCFC has been mismanaged ever since it was relegated from the PL.

A shocking situation for a good football club. Football is for the fans. Without fans, football is nothing. I’m guessing they will be back in Northampton next year. I hope they survive this.

We wouldn't have had control of matchday revenue (from what I can tell) which is basically the problem Cov had.

Another failing by the Football League's "fit and proper person" test, absolutely mad that a Hedge Fund can buy a football club.

I thought that he was a tax dodging goat fiddler!

And yet will be another club to build a nice new stadium after their exile to Northampton. I almost sort of wish our owners get a similar kick up the arse to actually do something because at this rate we will still be at the Mem in 10 years time.

It is quite sad when you go to lots of away games as I do and find yourself sitting in a stadium that rovers could only dream of having. Our home is embarrassing, even against the so-called smaller clubs in this division and league 2.

I went to Stevenage away a couple of years ago and thought that it was a stadium far superior to the Mem and they've managed to build another stand since then. I appreciate things take time to get off the ground, especially in a city like Bristol, but it's beginning to get more frustrating year on year to see clubs leave stadiums that are in all honesty probably better than the Mem and move to new grounds with great facilities for supporters.

Ah well, soon we'll have twenty years of the South Stand. Some incredible memories in front of the iconic tent... What's your favourite?

- Mark Walters' free kick vs Luton Town, November 1999 - Dwayne Plumber's winning penalty vs Everton, September 2000 - Wayne Carlise's safety confirming freekick vs Darlington, April 2003 - Rickie Lambert's volley vs Bristol City, February 2007 - Craig Disley's winning penalty vs Fulham, January 2008 - Matty Taylor's goal vs Forest Green, May 2015 - Billy Bodin's goal vs Dagenham & Redbridge, May 2016 - Chris Lines' goal vs Cardiff, August 2016

Mines probably the fat Leeds fan who tried to celebrate on the pitch when Leeds scored but got about two yards from the front of the stand, slipped and was arrested.

Mine was when the gutter fell off and the day the PA stopped working.
Happy times.
