That’s good to know. I’ve met Alfie and wish him a long and successful career with us, he’s a top lad

I’m all for giving Kilgour a chance and I always have with Craig too but that doesn’t change the fact that both goals were terrible defensive errors today. Can’t help but think it would of been 3 points today had Giggs not picked our captain and best center half so he could watch his country play from the stands though. Very frustrating and the postponement laws need to be looked at. Which makes you think where our real defensive weakness actually lies and perhaps Locks is having a much better season than we are giving him credit for. Craig today was nothing short of awful. Defensive players are all about combinations and partnerships Lockyer and Craig have built a good understanding together and today that wasn’t there. Lockyer might have been awful if it had been Craig missing today.

Well done Rovers, its pay back time for all those points we lost in the last few minutes earlier in the season, if things are to balance out as they usually do we are due a few more points thanks to late goals coming our way, congrats to Alfie who according to Radio Briz and GC had a very promising debut in a very hard game, cant believe the stick he was getting earlier in this thread!also shocked to hear someone on twentymans show saying GC is not good enough to take us forward next season! for goodness sake give the man some credit, his record played out over a season would surely have us in top six?good to see Gavin make a name for himself, been hard baptism for him but he is a good finisher, if we could clone Toms alround usual game with Gavin s finishing we would have some player!by the way Toms miss looked over the line to me!onward and upwards, anything at Donny would be great now!! by the way Clockendgas did you manage to keep sitting on your hands when Gavin scored? if you did you be a better man than I !!!UP THE ROVERS!!

Gogs has lost to Sunderland three times and only one other game v Wycombe I think ? That’s one hell of a record considering how we were doing.

I really miss Big Jock's embellishments to the Match Day threads. Well that was amazing!! Just got back after a few celibratory cocktails!! I think a load of Scandinavians/Germans on the beach were totally surprised when I jumped up at Reilly's goal, and one guy actually came over and wanted to see a replay of JCH's worldy! I predicted a point and that was what we got! Very sloppy defence/midfield for their first and think playing TC on the right will never work. Sorry GC, I think you got that one wromg. As much as I think Alfie had a fine game, we need to play a left and right footer in central defence. Is Osho a right footer?? We need our non-playing Welsh captain back. Will take that and onwards to Tuesday and Doncaster. Well done BG!! Keep up the good work!!

Umpteen bloody great games, contributes to several great away wins....then gets caned for an odd error.

Just my opinion of course but I think he was far and away the number one choice for the player of the season before JCH came in. He's been top-drawer and it sounds like we missed him today.

Was it ever revealed what we paid for JCH? At the time it was undisclosed. On the back of 10 games he looks to have more to his game than any centre forward I’ve seen play for us, including Lambert, Roberts, Hayles etc. Obviously it takes more than 10 games to be comparable to those but he’s already a legend whatever he goes on to do

True, but they got spanked at Luton today and we are pretty solid away from home. Nothing to fear but the long journey not ideal I guess. Will Locks be back? Luton now 26 games unbeaten. Going to be a toughie..... Every run comes to an end
