Same for me, although I found it easier to just leave the wife at home. ah sexiest as well, full house I claim my prize. Um...but my 'wife' self identifies as Bert, a lorry driver on weekdays. |

I think there are a few SJW types on here who need to get over themselves a bit. It is, for the most part, banter between 2 sets of opposing fans. Our lot were singing “We can see you holding hands” and they sang back “you’re too ugly too be gay” - that is just funny and shouldn’t be a matter for the Humour Stasi or the Thought Police.
And before anyone asks, no I don’t believe that people should be discriminated against because of their sexual preferences, but by the same token neither should they be accorded special treatment. We are all just people and it doesn’t matter what your skin colour, sexual preference, taste in clothes or music, choice of lifestyle, etc is, if you’re a good person you’re a good person, if you’re a lady garden then you’re a lady garden.
Oh and by the way, the words “homosexual” and “homophobic” both derive from the Greek word “Homos” which means “things that are the same” (not Latin “Homo”, or man), so homophobic literally means “fear of things that are the same” .
Just thought I’d throw that one in . . .

Embarrassing from a few tonight, I know some will accuse me of being a member of the “pc brigade” but if the fact that it is just plain wrong doesn’t deter you then maybe the fact that sanctions for this can be as tough as those for racist chanting (which is no worse) should put you off? It is really easy to see yourself has being morally correct when you are older, choosing to forget you were once young and probably said and / or did something in hindsight you wished you had not. It used to be said Football was a working mans game, not any more; it has, particularly since the turn of the century been joined by a plethora of different groups who rightly demand their opinions and feelings are considered without question. The fact, they are correct, does it now mean the common person no longer has a place on the terrace ? As for last night, from my position on the centre circle in the West Stand, I heard BHA questioning my understanding of my own nationality, which is usual when any opposing group of supporters outside Briz visit the MEM, the Gas retort from the Blackthorn they could see BHA fans holding hands in the Tent end (which to some might viewed as being banter, others could be distraught to distraction). Both sets of supporters, as is normal, subsequently traded the next level of offensive comments; thereafter, as is also normal, the trading subsided and the game carried on, which incidentally has to be said was nothing less than a tremendous spectacle, the game continued to ebb and flow, once the game ended, both sets of supporters left the ground together apparently in harmony no worse than they arrived. Whats not to like, or who needs to be blamed ? |

I have a Muslim mate and he laughs at headlines that say " Christmas cancelled at Junior school so not to offend". He says who is offended, we're not, we eat turkey and Christmas too. It's often people who "think" people will be offended that are the problem i got a Muslim mate who has pigs in blankets and drinks,most of them don’t stick to the rules |
