Let's not over react about yesterday's result. Yes it was poor and the performance very insipid. It happens. An indicator of team spirit will be the replay at Bromley. Are our guys up for the fight because Bromley will be? If we are committed to the game we will win. If not I anticipate another exit from the FA Cup at the first hurdle.
Regarding the dilemma of dour football versus attacking football, I would obviously prefer the latter if it keeps us in the Division. However, if the manager believes that a conservative style of football is best suited to the squad's strengths he has my full support.
At the start of the season, many of us were just happy to avoid relegation. Currently, we are just outside a play off spot and even got to 4th earlier in the season. Let's give GC some credit and hope that he uses the January window (subject to resources) to strengthen the team and offload (probably through loans) those players who have no future at the club and in all realism, are wasting spaces on the bench.

I make it... Craig and Kilgour(can you count him as he hardly featured before this season) both of whom has been getting good reports.Kelly who was an understudy to brown.Sercombe who fans still rate.Rodman ok I will give you him and nicholls nobody wants him.So 2 thirds of yesterdays side was gcs signings Not quite right - seven of last season's squad featured yesterday. Craig, Kilgour, Kelly, Rodman, Upson, Sercombe, Nichols. Or ten players from last season were in the full match day squad - maybe explains why we are still not very good.

Gas v Plymouth home if we beat Bromley of course ! Last out of the hat! 2nd last Tbh, this is our best chance in years to make the 3rd round. Home to a team 2 divisions below & then home to a division below. Frankly, if we don't beat either of those then we should be embarrassed. The FA Cup is a huge importance and source of income ffs

That would suggest even if we get through against Bromley it will hardly be a walkover against the pilgrims.

If Danny Mayor turns it on for Plymouth like he did for Bury, then we could be in trouble, if we manage to get past Bromley that is...which will be tough again!

He's hardly turning it on so far this season for Plymouth as their present league form is P:16 W:6 D:5 L:5, but we have to get past Bromley first, although Harrogate didn't seem to cause Pompey too many problems last night, until I got bored and stopped watching it at 10pm.

More natural talent than anything we've got in midfield that's for sure.

I suspect that there's a lot of teams with more creativity than us. We've got strengths in other areas.

But aren't craig, kilgour, sercombe and upson playing key roles so they are hardly weakening the side.Kelly is more involved with the development side so that just leaves rodman and nicholls.. You can hardly blame those on the bench who did not play any part in the game for the display

I would be more worried with Plymouth Parkway.
