I’m not sure why this is relevant to the thread ? Maybe she is on the fiddle , wouldn’t be the first and wouldn’t be the last . There is a stream of racist abuse against her on social media, most quoting fox news bile. One of the racist statements, that gastafari leaves out, is that she "has moved to a white area"... ...As if she is not allowed to live wherever she likes? Oh god Things people say. Utterly lacking in self awareness

I think it's more down to the hypocrisy of it. Her actions are hardly in line with her self confessed socialist principles and her white and privileged views. I am at a loss now in this world as to what is classed as racist and what isn't. I say that because I don't see that statement as racist I see it as a statement of fact. If it was reported as what right has a person of colour got to buy a property in a predominantly white area then 100% I would agree that is racist. I find that statement as highlighting her hypocrisy.

Much of the overt racism, apart from a minority of absolute morons, has been suppressed, either by legislation or changing social norms. What is still there is this subliminal thinking. "She moved to a white area" To challenge oneself the question must be why do I think in terms of "colour" when thinking of an area to buy or rent a house. This brings into sharp relief this hidden racism, which people deny exists because its not overt.

I think the criticism of someone rich demanding socialism is warranted, although it’s not communism...
But there is no excuse for criticising “white area”. There is no irony in it, surely the point is to remove segregation/coloured neighbourhoods and inequality. On that specific front, I’d say she’s leading by example and it shouldn’t be questioned where she lives, I think it’s a disgusting statement.

I think it's fair to ask where is the money coming from for Patrisse Cullors lavish lifestyle and high end properties? Also where is the $90,000,000 BLM received from donations last year going? It seems it isn't going towards the people that BLM are supposed to care about. What business is it of yours how she spends her money? She is a published author and has book, TV, media deals etc... She obviously gets paid for her time lol. Do you think BLM is doing a Tommy Robinson? It was just another straightforward question. It doesn't look good from somebody with such Socialist rhetoric and who is so open about wanting to 'Dismantle Capitalism' going around buying multiple plush high end pads in wealthy suburbs. Where is the $90,000,000 worth of donations? Because Michael Brown Snr whose son was killed in Ferguson, Missouri, hasn't seen any or had any help or assistance, neither has Samaria Rice whose son Tamir Rice was killed in Cleveland, Ohio, neither has Lisa Simpson whose son Richard Risher was killed in LA. Don't you think they have any 'business' asking the question of how she spends her money? Considering BLM, despite receiving all these donations and using their sons names and images to promote the slogan and begging people to donate to help the cause, it seems the money isn't going towards the people that BLM are supposed to care about. Instead she's buying million dollar houses.

Brought back memories from when I lived in the States. A friend of my wife said to me that she thought she had to bring her passport when visiting our area, because of the number of jews living there. The fact that my wife was Iranian appeared to pass her by (perhaps to our faces)

I think it has creedence, when you listen to the Mothers & Fathers of the sons killed, who have had no help or assistance from BLM despite them using their sons names, they haven't seen any of the money raised. Why not? I think it's a valid question to be asked.

If it's BLM funds raised that she has used for herself then that's against the law, we assume. You are a bit eager with the accusations.

Why not? I think it's a valid question to be asked. I am sure some litigious person in the States, smelling money, will seek out the issue. There was a similar story in the UK this morning around a funding page which had raised £180,000 but the family had received none of it. However the money is there and held in Trust until the beneficiaries reach 21. Perhaps someone knew more than they are saying about the family. But either way, I tend to think these stories, in general, are put out to deflect or to try and discredit a person or movement. They in no way detract from the issues at hand. Rather like your intent to segregate white working class kids into "Irish" and/or Albanian when discussing education outcomes, without bringing a shred of evidence that such a measurable distinction exists.

Seems that she may well be wealthy in her own right "Cullors' book, When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir[33][34] was published in January 2018. It was co-written with the journalist asha bandele[35] and featured a foreword from Angela Davis. The Times Literary Supplement reviewed it as a "magnificent accomplishment."[36] It appeared at number 12 on the nonfiction hardcover The New York Times Best Seller list on February 4, 2018.[37] Ah, Angela Davis a poster hero from 1970...😍

Still, going by her outright socialist views, being a 'Trained Marxist' and wanting to 'Dismantle Capitalism' buying million dollar houses in wealthy suburbs, while the people who her organisation are supposed to care about, dont see any of the money raised off the back of their dead Children, seems strange to me. Maybe I'm being cynical, as I don't know what book sales are like these days, but I dont think she became that wealthy just off the royalties of that book.

You seemed to know what they were when I've voiced these concerns previously regarding BLM and what their actual aims were. i.e wanting to disrupt the Nuclear family, Defunding the Police and Dismantling Capitalism which are Oxymorons that will affect the Black Community more than most, and when I mentioned that imo BLM is a complete sham. And now the founder is buying luxury million Dollar homes in wealthy neighbourhoods and being heavily criticised by the people who have put trust in BLM not receiving anything from the $90,000,000 raised off the back of their dead kids.
