There was a reason I asked, I will explain why There was a report that George Floyd was a bouncer in a club, it goes on to say the club also payed the cop to sit outside the club as a visible deterrent, there was an alleged ruck between the two because of the way the cop spoke to and treated club goers (if you read between the lines it reads like GF got the better of the cop). So if that turns out to be true then surely its a beef between 2 people which ended up with GF being murdered , (Yes he was in uniform but a murdering lady garden is a murdering lady garden).
But charges should surely be changed to murder1 not 2 or 3, If this report turns out to be true then it should be reported on as he's going to use the police as a defence etc, where as if the upgrade the charge and explain that no matter what job the cop did, this murder would have still happened (I hope you can understand what I'm getting at).
The other thing I noticed I posted two images towards the beginning of the thread, take a long look at the cops eyes to me it looks as if he's concentrating a tad to hard on his knee, but also scanning the crowd, thinking no one saw.
When he gets convicted he won't be around for long

With removal of some of the Confederate icons, I can see trouble on the horizon Science 101: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Farage dismissed from LBC with immediate effect. Now, it should be clear from previous posts that I have very little time for Farage but come on- silencing dissenting voices just creates martyrs. Cleansing the world of non-hard left voices is going to lead us to a point where the far and even not so far right are going to lash out in response. Case in point: A bust in Bristol of Fagon has had a corrosive substance poured on it. It’s like McCarthyism on steroids. I wish some sanity would prevail.

Murder is murder but at the moment I don’t know whether it was racially motivated. Is he just a horrible thug or a horrible racist thug?

I had no idea that Farage had been dismissed? What reason has been given? Apparently he likened the Bristol protesters to the Taliban. Controversial for sure, but he’s said far worse and nothing has happened. So it sounds like LBC have smelt which way the wind is blowing. It amounts to censorship to pander to the new zeitgeist imo. Imo, give him a very public final warning to tone his rhetoric down so the public know his card is marked and give him one last chance. Creating a martyr out of him is dangerous what with his ‘fanbase’.

Well, if you get rid of the (offensive, admittedly ) right wing voices what are you left with? Truth? (Partially in jest) Haha, well that is debatable! If this had happened a few months back I would have been more upbeat about it. But not as a knee jerk reaction while emotions are still running high. Put every aspect of modern life under the microscope by all means— but do it with cool heads and rationality when the dust has settled not ASAP to appease the pitchfork wielders. To address your point a bit more directly I think it’s hubris to a ridiculous agree to believe that either the left or the right has the monopoly on truth. Hence why dissenting voices are always needed. Even the more extreme ones like Farage. Anything else is censorship and liberals can be just as capable of that as hardline conservatives. Interesting times ahead, for sure....

(Genuine question) the bits I’ve seen of him suggests he plays a bit of a devil’s advocate role with the remainers, just questioning their logic without any sort of political slant. I could be wrong though!

Apologies for the whataboutery, but in the last few days we’ve seen Twitter erupt with comparisons that Churchill was as bad or worse as Hitler so I think both sides are ugly enough to take the verbals on the chin at the moment! in fact, protesters === taliban && Churchil >= Hitler perhaps shows how chuffing extreme and polarised all this has become 😕

Sounds a bit like a football club parting with a manager by ‘mutual agreement’ !

Ah that’s a bit more re-assuring, the media spin I saw was “dismissed with immediate effect” like it was another big scalp to go with the statue and little Britain etc.
