There you go. I wonder if the "counter protester" who is being carried by the BLM supporter had been throwing Nazi salutes earlier. Sometimes a picture speaks a thousand words At least one convert, I'd hope. As it's been said many times before, there is more that unites us than divides us.

But the denial of reality does not fill me with any confidence. An afro American was shot in the back, three times, running away from police in Atlanta a couple of days ago.

Absolutely all I want is the facts and evidence presented impartially, I don't want Laura/Emilys opinion or interpretation as it's not more valid than mine. This one Clive "The extra part of the evidence review summarises testimony received by PHE’s Prof Kevin Fenton, the report’s author, from about 4,000 stakeholders, including BAME groups and academics. “It is clear from discussions with stakeholders the pandemic exposed and exacerbated longstanding inequalities affecting BAME communities in the UK,” it said." And "This element of the review was "held back" by the government because of "current global tensions" such as the Black Lives Matter movement, Sky News can reveal. Whitehall sources told Sky News releasing this element would be in "too close proximity" to the protests." So..... It is indeed a murky world at the moment, sources counter sources.I would just ask issue the report once the draft has been through its review process which I gather will be this week. I then hope that the recommendations if correct are acted upon quickly as I can see no point in feet dragging. The report that I highlighted is the one that Professor Bhopal drafted for PHE that is being issued next week so perhaps there's a bit of confusion.

365 On Churchill (which really is a side issue and one for all of us regardless of BAME issues) You wrote "There was a biographer of Churchill who spoke following the protests about how his views changed immensely based on the horrors of war" Given he served in in the Boer War, was First Lord of the Admiralty in 1914...it's pretty hard to believe his views were tempered by WW2. Yet he was elected again in 1951. So the majority got it wrong, and the champagne socialist, talking 70 years after the event, has it right again I suppose.

That would be you. But let's not get dragged sideways. He was elected again. 1 term of 'The great reformer' was enough. Why pick on Churchill, or if that's valid, how about you stick the boot in to Gandhi and Mandela, easy to find things both of them have said which don't make great reading. It's sad when people are so desperate to prop up their political views that they resort to laying in to the likes of Churchill.

You've been on your high horse since at least page 29. Do you want to pick one of the topics that you've been ranting about and we can explore it a bit. Where do you want to go first? How about skin colour being a barrier to progress in UK politics, you claimed this was the case, shall we do that?

No, as said there, I have no interest in a personal debate with you. Take a break.

No, as said there, I have no interest in a personal debate with you. Take a break. That would be for forum moderators to decide, not you. It's normal to be asked to justify claims or statements made on forums, everybody else is expected to, so you can as well. Next time you write something that's socially or historically incorrect I'll try to pick it up and correct you, purely so that we can move forward with factual information, which is what you would want, I'm sure. Based on the hate filled diatribe you've turned this thread into, it shouldn't be long in coming.

So you actually followed Oldie across forums because he refused to debate with you?

Two out of the great offices of state are currently held by BAME. I can`t believe he`d make such a claim in the first place. Actually.... I can.

Normally I would let this sort of horseshit pass but just for the record. You cannot debate anything with this new member (Bamber gasgroin on the other forum) as he continuously reduces any debate to personal attacks. It's a pointless exercise. It became so bad on the other forum that members actually left and others exchanged PMs in complaint. Just for the record. Let's leave it there.
