I hope so. If a player kneels on instruction and that act helps 1 fan question their acceptance of inequality- so be it.

When do people stop taking the knee though? Is this something that will go on forever now?
Totally for equality, but for footballers even at league 1 to take the knee when they probably earn more money than the average person watching, it all seems hypocritical. If anything it is the film, music and sports "stars" of the world that earn wayyyy too much.

I don't usually wander outside of gasworks but saw this post and thought it needed saying (although it shouldn't really need saying).
All staff must and surely will be given the opportunity to show their solidarity.
There are still too many dismissive gasheads that are soon to be left behind in society. Plenty of laughable medieval views abound in the terraces that I hope die out further in the coming years.

Equal opportunity leads to equal money, which is hundred percent how things should be. I don't think for a bunch footballer that earn 1,000s, 10,000s 100,000s per week is best way for them to do their bit..how about footballers take a cut of their wages each month and support initiatives direvtly that create opportunities and develop struggling areas. |
