Looks like the Northampton players have to shower in a different part of the ground to their changing rooms. BG out. He had the chance to grab their towels and whip their asses with it but he didn't take it

Sorry that's nonsense, do you think Liverpool aren't looking to improve after winning the title? Apology accepted
Not sure what your comment has to do with what I said. We won. We played well. We showed improvements across the pitch. People are quick to attack BG when its not a good result yet slow to give praise when it goes right. People moan when BG gives excuses yet come up with their own excuses why we were lucky to win, such as "poor side Northampton so get the result in perspective".
Of course we are all entitled to our opinions but but why can't we be pleased with the 3 points before all the negative break down of certain aspects of the game itself.
Some us like to see reality and have a desire to improve. Why take the negatives from my post and ignore the positives?

Really enjoyed today's game, thought we looked organised and never looked like conceding. Should have scored more, Hanlon looks some signing impressed with everyone but two wing backs were a great improvement. If we can just improve in final third it would make us more consistent. Little steps but going in right direction, how did that mob get on at Newport ooh lost his lucky lavender 😂

Just to point out, I have said "some people" meaning im on about more than just yourself. I just showed a line of yours in my post as a reference to my point. You are not the only one to have said similar. Yes you had positives and negatives, which is fine of course. No dispute with that. It was the excuse why we won is what I am on about. BG gives excuses why we lose and he gets pounded for it. Yet some people don't give credit for the win and find excuses why we got lucky. Anyway.... here is to 3 points

We win and with a good performance, showing improvements and yet still people have to criticise something. I find it funny that when we lose, some get angry that BG uses excuses. Yet now we won, those same ones start giving excuses why we were fortunate to win. Couldn't make it up. Not sure why some people can't give credit when it's due. Sorry that's nonsense, do you think Liverpool aren't looking to improve after winning the title? It’s no different to making excuses about why we lost and IIRC it’s been a talking point that some posters have tried to make out we can’t judge Garner on his losses this season. Now we have won a game we are being told we CAN judge him! See how it becomes swings and roundabouts? The main thing to takeaway is that things have been so poor that “one swallow does not make a summer“ seems like sage advice at the moment.

I thought Hanlan reminded me a lot of Ellington with Hayles strength today.

I dislike that when fans are giving their honest opinion which may be different to yours, but still imo should be respected.

October 2020 is an unusual month. Harvest Moon. Blue Moon. Hollow Moon. Gas winning well and possibly more importantly, performing well? Much needed win.
A well deserved win today, it should have been 5!
When team announced, it appeared likely to me more balanced, and players earning their place....I personally don't like the set up 3-4-3, but opposition didn't have the tools to take our formation apart. Also, our top goalscorer dropped?! Wtf!?....
20 minutes in, we could easily have been 2 down....so many times opposition players find time and space in our pen area but (luckily for us) this time they missed their opportunities.... maybe much like we have in previous matches. Over all, with the other 70 minutes (Bolger and Ratchet apart) I thought we were far the better team and won a well deserved match fairly. I'm not commenting on Northampton defence, because if those goals were given away from our side wouldn't be happy, but a great finish from both goal scorers..
Tutonga a credible replacement for Leahy. Hare for me should be senior right (wing)back, Little not impressed me apart from one goaline clearance. Jaak commanding in area. But for me, a brilliant up front energy and m o m display from Hanlon, he really needs a strike partner in a partnership, not a winger helping him.
I so hope we can dip into the market before the transfer window closes, Hanlon needs some help and as much as he's a handful for defenders atm, it's only a matter of time before more wiley defences secure him up.
One thing I think we can take out of this match is so many players played well. Probably because playing in positions familiar.
Another thing is: we are taking confident penalties! This might help in fa cup matches....?
Ok, a very good win today, I think much much needed. Well done to BG and his management team and the squad..

Credit where credit is due. Good positive comments from most posters. Good to win a match and more importantly play well. I’ve criticised Ben over the last few weeks and hoped to see improvement. Let’s hope this is the turning point. I wait to see consistent progress. Pressure still on this manager.

Yes, they had 2 great identical chances but we should have six fielded them. Too many clear cut chances missed. Good win though. October is where we need to pick up points! UTG

I have to come clean. I went into today's game unable to envisage a win and hoping that if we did lose that we would get well beaten and BG would be sacked. I'm not proud of it, but I had at the time seen nothing to persuade me that he would not get us relegated. I'm over the moon that we got a result today as I am whenever Rovers win and I find myself cautiously optimistic. I'm not glass half full or half empty I'm just a Rovers fan who has seen far too many bad days to not think there's another lurking around the corner. UTG

UTG I think the pressure is still on for sure , one more win doesn’t change the fact that Garners record is terrible it just makes it slightly less terrible. Delighted with the win today and really hope we can grab a point at Lincoln on Saturday , they are flying so I could live with a defeat but we then need to beat the likes of burton and Accy etc lots of very winnable games coming up and today’s performance shows that whilst we’re nowhere near the likes of Sunderland and Ipswich we can outplay and beat the lesser sides.

UTG I liked Daly contribution today, he seems to like to cut in from the right and there's potential. I like Ayunga contribution too, but with Hanlon could be great, I'm just concerned they're too young. Ayunga is still learning his trade and agree he hasn't been given a chance. We need a jch replacement..... simples..... unless anyone is suggesting Hanlon is the replacement? In that case, we need a suitable strike partner... because if someone marks Hanlon out the match, whom comes in to step up?

If BG is using a formation that accommodates two strikers HanlAn and Ayunga could be a handful for most sides. That said I’d like to fit Nicholson in the side. Who’d be a manager eh!

More of the same required. We got our first win, BG and the team must continue getting results.
