Correct me if I am wrong but I make that 11 Defenders 10 Midfielders 3 Stikers Thats not including Mehew and a few others that have made appearances We also have 3 other pro centre forwards, won't bother listing them. Leave that as a bit of homework for you teach I gave up teaching 7 years ago

Wow! So we've gone from aiming for a mid-table finish to just survival in the league. And from being competitive next season to "in a season or two"? What dreams we have! What next? "Well hopefully when we're relegated this season Ben will have his young team primed not to just drop straight out of league football". "I'm sure that Ben will have us winning games in the National League". "Hopefully Ben's young team will be able to figure out how to get on the bus to an away game". "Given time I'm sure all of Ben's squad will be able to turn up wearing all of their kit". " Another impatient Gashead. So you'll be gutted if we haven't won the Champions League in four years time? Not every season has to be 'our' season. Sometimes you have to see the bigger picture and plan ahead. But that's okay, you carry on being negative and wishing us to fail. In 4 years I will be 72. Actually I might not be here at all.

Exactly this it will not happen overnight but there is a plan to make the club sustainable we cannot carry on signing experienced pros looking for a good pay day. I see Mark Robins quoted earlier it took him 2/3 seasons to build a side and they now have a chance of staying up. After a very encouraging week and signs of improvement the same faces come on here and try to bring it down with the same boring negative stuff I even see we have just been relegated to the conference, wow just wow.

Err, Under Mark Robins Coventry have finished 6th in Lg 2 and gone up, 8th in League One and as Champions in League One so it certainly doesn't seem like just avoiding the drop was the attitude taken.

Well you replied to Titch's post with the word "Exactly" so I took that to mean you were endorsing what he had said. Which is we should expect to be in a relegation fight this season (we're 4 games in). So on that basis any comparison with Mark Robins is pretty non-existent.

Upson in the middle, although he does not play I expect he helps the younger player's in training and on a match day etc. Apart from him the other midfielders are all in their early 20's. Realistically we have very little in squad experience and even little in the coaching staff. Upson while experienced is quite a passive character from what I've heard, not quite a Tony Craig with regards to putting him around and his boot up the arse of younger players. In fact, it seems to me Garner is almost threatened by experience and leaders... I was just thinking that when I read your post- it’s almost like Garner wants to surround himself with people with even less knowledge and experience of playing EFL football than he is and that’s saying something considering this is his first managerial gig and he didn’t have a career as a player.

Did anyone else think it was bizarre how he played vs Darlington, hasn't been seen since, don't even think he gets on the bench normally and then bam he's back in the lineup yesterday all of a sudden.
Just interested in the thinking behind why this was? Not criticising it but would like to know Tisdale's reasoning. Another thing I liked about DC is if you couldn't understand something, he was quite honest with his reasoning for things and you could understand it from his point of view.

I think he’s the only defensive midfielder left?

He played in the trophy as well I think. Been talk of him being injured but I’ve never seen that in the pre match presser
He hasn’t made a match day squad since Boxing Day v MK Dons

Sam Frost said he was struggling with an injury, but is now fit and impressed in training since coming back. Tisdale said Annsi would be ok for the Saturday after going off injured. Think like DC, he keeps a lot of injuries quiet. Think with Upson and Ogogo both out, he will get a few opportunities, if he stays fit now. You can see he’s not played a lot, he needs to work on his all round game. He grew into the game as it went on though.

Daly and Hanlan up top. 6 very good young players we signed this year. Shame macca is on loan

I think the reason he hasn’t been included, was quite obvious yesterday! Even against Darlington he struggled

Yea strange he looked our weakest player yesterday, hopefully McCormick replaced him next game as we looked better with Luke there

I think he did pretty well considering hes been out injured and has probably not played any competitive games in a while. We definitely looked more of a threat once McCormick came on but Liddle gave us a decent hour. With Ogogo and Upson both out he gives us another option for one of the holding roles, especially away from home.
