We got our defensive selection wrong and embarrassed ourselves with the basic errors and obviously it was just about as one sided a game as it's possible to get. Great result, and hopefully a big confidence boost to the squad. Slight negatives unfortunately were Daly going off injured, and Westbrooke looking very poor after he came on. Westbrooke looked very out of touch but good to see a solid display from Liddle.Grant didn't do much but Nicholson looked a handful and worked his socks off. |

Think you are being bit harsh on yourselves, for 30 mins we were poor and you looked quite threatening, then you shoot yourselves in the foot for the first and the Pen was a silly challenge, you carry quite a threat up front with some creative players ,good luck in your endeavours to climb back up the pyramid if that's what you want. |

I’m not convinced but let’s hope we can build on this 🤔 Just hope we don’t get that lot down the road in the next round 🙏 Ditto, the last team we want, they will murder us. Not sure about that , they have only beaten the lesser teams in the championship and have come up short against promotion contenders, looked very vunerable to quick counter attacks v Reading, nothing to fear there. |

Well I'll never complain about ifollow and Keith's commentery ever again that on the BBC and whoever was trying to direct the program and the commentator were awful Ha ha yes it was shocking! The replays were a joke while the game was still going on, come back iFollow all is forgiven. 😁 |

A fanbase that got screwed by poor ownership and that has had to watch their side fall out of the football league before building it back up again as a fan owned club will always have my sympathy and support. I hope we sign McCormick when his loan ends and his contract expires at Chelsea next summer. There’s the makings of a quality player there. Totally agree. Some people have criticised having all these players on loan, instead of developing our own. Yes, all of three loan players (only two youngsters)! I would say that having JML back, having played well last season, made sense at the time, as a good prospect that was known to the coaching staff, and in the final year of his contract so a potential permanent signing. And Oztumer was a great signing, adding quality and experience, and giving some attacking purpose when desperately needed. A month or two too late to save Ben though. I would be happy to keep him beyond his loan. But McCormick is beginning to show his worth now. I do like Hargreaves, but With McCormick, we have a young player who is very well known to Mesure, so he would have been perfectly placed to assess the type of player we were bringing in. And hopefully, it was with a view to a permanent signing as I believe he is a quality player, and an improvement on Hargreaves. He would be the one I would most like to keep permanently. I have to admit though that signing Liddle was a surprise - and that has no bearing on my opinion of the player. But without knowing his contract details or how long we were tracking him, it did seem one surplus to requirements at the time. But still, he's one of our own now, so definitely one to develop. Tisdale doesnt seem to rate Westbrooke.. He was awful when he came on.Seemed very off the pace and his passing was deadful. |
